Having a think whilst sipping coffee in the office.
Anyone had experience with using the legs/body from a defiler to support a leman russ body with turret/sponsons?

It might be possible, but the legs may well look too weedy compared to the tank.
I would think about scratch building some thicker legs if you planned to make a walking russ, as well as making some proper interface between them and the tank, rather than just bolting them on the side.

A friend of mine has a whole army done this way with walking tanks using defiler legs and IG tank components. I'll see if I can dig up some pics...

Those do seem to work pretty good to me. I'd like to give them more bodywork than those models, but the bassy looks all kinds of segsah!
