Just saw the new GK models and not liking how they are turning out. Heard their points cost is going to be high but their combat is going to be ridiculous. Plus the dreadknight really looks out of place and a army killer. Can't believe most of the things I have read so far and more than half the people in our group are changing over to GK... Almost afraid to see what necrons get for an update

You are new, so you haven't been around for the flavor-of-the-month clubs. Every time a new codex comes out, everyone either declares it broken or a must have. Blood Angels, Dark Eldar, now the Grey Knights. Believe me, you'll get used to it.

Hmm, I think GK are going to be game killers. If they allow the GK into tournaments, IG players learning the way of the game, like me, won't stand a chance. I just think that GW went a little over the top with this one...

Lots of armies are game killers, if built properly. IG leafblowers are a pain for new players to kill, so are foot slogging orks and the list can go on and on.

Grey Knights will be over-powered until people start to play them, like Stormravens. By the time the hysteria is over, the whaaaaaambulance riders will latch onto the new codex, declare it over-powered, rinse, lather, repeat.

They were always a small game killer but GW is bringing them to a new level of kills

IG actually are one of the better armies to go up against GK, because GKs, other than liberal use of henchmen, lack true reliable anti-tank. What can IG field far more of that any other army? That's right, tanks.

Falcon seems to be right on the money. Every new codex, pre-release, is heralded as the harbinger of the apocalypse. It won't be that bad.

I don't care about the stormravens.

Then you missed my point.

I ain't saying it can't be beat. As you say the IG are prove to that, I am just talking about armies that don't have speed or over powering tank power

Indeed.

We have several Gk related discussions on the 40k boards currently, I'm sure your needs can be serviced by one of them.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
