This is overall in terms of fluff and how much fun they are to play as/against on the tabletop. If any chapters share the same chapter tactics (for example, Imperial Fists, Crimson Fists, Soul Drinkers) then distinguish them by their fluff.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Voted Minotaurs, no idea on the tabletop but fluff-wise they are pretty damn hard. They are bordering on uncontrollable in terms of their dedication and focus and Moloch is seriously badass.

The wolves of Fenris, all the way! The only chapter willing to call the imperium/Inquisition/eclesiarchy to account for their nonsense. They also are one of the few that still care for the emperor's original vision, and believe they serve humanity before the imperium as an entity.

Also, they will bite a piece out of you if given the opportunity. It gives them your memories, and techniques just like other marines, but they don't have a moral compunction about it.

It's all about the Carcharodons and Minotaurs. Any other answer is incorrect.

Blood Angels!

A bunch of beautiful, noble, and heroic figures who are ALL destined to fall to an all-consuming black rage that causes them to believe they are their primarch battling the Emperor's enemies on Horus' barge unless death takes them first? YES PLEASE!

Oh yeah, and they have lots of nipple armor.

Gameplay wise, they're so much fun to play if not in a competitive setting...When your six-man Sanguinary Guard unit charges and completely slaughters a nine-man Imperial Fist squad before they even get to swing back (I didn't even get to roll for axes and fists) you'll know what I'm talking about.

Definitely Soul Drinkers because they're not a bunch of Emperor-obsessed jerks and they actually care about making the Imperium better for its citizens.

Followed by Angry Marines because I fail to understand why they're a bunch of Emperor-worshiping sissies.

I love the fact that the Black Templars give the middle finger to the codex astartes, they are definitely a cool chapter, unique in their way of war which sets them apart from others. It was an absolute travesty when GW merged them into the standard vanilla codex. You could even say they adhere to the codex astartes even less than the Blood Angels and Dark Angels (exception of DW and RW) to some degree, so makes no sense for them not to have their own book, or at least a supplement.

Perhaps GW will give them their own book again along with some new Black Templar unique units. I would love to see that happen.

A) Salamanders, with Space Wolves running a close second. Remembering their obligation to the people of the Imperium does a lot to enhance their rep, in my book.

B) Soul Drinkers are, in fact, Chaos. Like Talos's warband they might pretend otherwise, but they've been corrupted.

I like everything about the Iron Hands EXCEPT for their stupid motto....

The flesh is weak? Is that really what you're going to yell out before charging into battle?

Which is why I choose their successor chapter the Red Talons as my Loyalist faction. Yup, those guys that chose to execute all their defectors instead of letting them go off to join the Sons of Medusa.
