I posted my Trollkin Kithkar with a Bugbear a while back.

Sucker went together great. Almost no need for glue. There was an issue (that was pointed out ahead of time) that on the arms they needed a little clipping on the joints to have them fit snuggly, but that wasn't a big deal.

I'll try and get a shot of the deathscale I've just put together up later,

but all the stuff was great (and well cast)

Fantastic news from the KS comments - they're going to switch up the stretch goal order and unlock more minis sooner!

So, we should see the Hook Beast just after the Minotaur and he's going to reveal the actual order tomorrow. This news got another beast pledge from me in for hopefully a Minotaur and Hook Beast now!

Stretch Goal Three Amended - Minotaur and the Awesome Gladiator Helm will be available at £10K!!!

I have restructured the stretch goals and I have now made the new Brutes more accessible. The Hook Beast, Minotaur and Bugbear Brute will be the next miniatures unlocked!

Here is the amended graphic for the next stretch goal, now less than £900 away. You will unlock, not only the Minotaur Guardian but Gladiatorial Helm as well!!!

More pictures of actual models, preferably around lots of other models! I went through the gallery on your facebook page and there were some nice ones there. The artwork and renders look great but it's always difficult to trust how much that will carry over to the actual models received. Additionally, the painted products look really nice but if there's no reference in the picture you're guessing how big it actually is. Same thing with the "How big are they?" picture near the top -- I like the idea, but it's renders, pictures, artwork and outlines all together.

I upped my pledge amount from the 2 brutes (+ extra for a troll) to the 6 brutes (+ a troll). Really hoping to unlock that second bugbear. It's so close to the minotaur that I'd like to upgrade to the top pledge, but I don't have enough space for 12 guys (not that I really have space for 6 ...). Keep up the hard work, I've enjoyed watching how you're running this!

I would imagine a Minotaur to taste like some serious grade A beef.

Of course considering how big and bulky they are, the meat itself might be a little tough to chew. Finding lean meat on a Minotaur is a tough task for even the most serious of butchers.

Its about ........ This big!!

... Its roughly 55mm to eye level but as you can see the head is stooped. It will be a big creature and might be difficult to fit on a 60mm base like the others. It might come on a 80mm base...we will see once it is printed!!

Absolutely... Nearly at the 48 hour shout out. If you haven't already check out the size of these minis. They would make a great centrepiece to any army! The hook beast is not that far away!

I backed for the Monsters Ball pledge, intending to get the Zombie Hulk, Mino & Hooky, but it looks doubtful that Hooky will be unlocked now so I'm not sure what to do.

I've got all of the other brutes that I wanted from the first KS.

I'll wait until nearer the end, if it seems certain that Hooky will not be unlocked I will have to lower my pledge accordingly.

Over 10k now, 30-something hours to go!

Might help to unlock it at 12k, as the sooner it unlocks the higher the total will go as people add it on - bit of a chicken and egg thing.

Yeah it looks pretty steady, but the total is good and hopefully should be able to fulfill it quickly! Can always do the next project a bit earlier as a result if it is ready (although hopefully with renders and even test casts ready to show of some models).

Things have been ticking along at a rather leisurely pace at Minion HQ, mainly due to the lack of anything resembling internet. Due to a whole range of problems we have been offline (apart from some paltry 3G, for about 3 weeks. but now we are back and I have some images to share.

First of all is a look at the optional variants for the Zombie Hulk. Only two additional parts were unlocked by the KS but they just so happened to be my favourite! This image shows the Zombie Hulk with the alternative Cyclopean Head and the hook and cleaver arm-set.


The second pic is of the Minotaur. This is obviously only a work in progress shot but he should be finished and ready to reveal in a week or so.

He certainly does. This is just the basic frame before adding the armour. The overall mini will have a much heavier and bullish (excuse the pun) feel to it.

We are also waiting for the alternative head, the Gladiator helm.

I like him, but the engraving/designs on his armor look too Aztec or Tron/Sci-fi for me. I don't think it really fits. Maybe the sculptor was going for Greek pottery designs?

They are the guardians of the Labyrinth and it is the labyrinth that is shown on their armour and axes.

At first I was scratching my head on the armor design, but when it finally dawned on me about the whole labyrinth aspect, well, that's pretty darn cool.

Hadn't planned on getting a minotaur but I may have to now...

We have had the first test cast through for both the Zombie Hulk and the Minotaur Guardian.

Both a huge models with the Hulk standing 120mm to the tip of its wings and 85mm to eyeline. The Minotaur is the biggest of our basic brutes so far at 65mm to eyeline but in a stooped pose.

I have added some other minis as scale to show you how gargantuan the Hulk really is.

They are a bit rushed but I will have some professional pictures for you soon!
