I think if it had been the ribbon itself or just the part on the scabbard that links to the helm crest? I could have repaired it--or slightly altered it to make it work. But with both contact points breaking during The Sneeze, it ain't happening.

That model is an amazingly complex puzzle for all intents and purposes...but it is not easy to repair.

Hobbywise today I am painting up some Gauss Immortals and have an eye on starting work on my Doomsday Arc as well.

I'm doing an ark soon as well. I have just the transcendent and the ark left. I'm honestly dreading it.

The DDA was not too bad to put together really, and I think in the sub assemblies I have left it in (I rarely do sub assemblies) it should be fine to paint.

Illuminator Szeras arrived this morning and has been put together. Be careful out there as he is a fiddly one.

Painting my Custodes Allarus. Finished one to get a feel of them, now batch painting all 5 them at once. I would say about 60-65% done on all of them so it's going pretty smoothly! Without (too much) procrastination, I can have them done tomorrow!

Primed and sprayed my valentines(Caunter scheme with desert sand, silver-blue and dark bronze green)
And flamethrower rhebok (desert sand with bluetack splotches of fur brown and dark bronze green)

Finished some objective markers, did some work on an Imperial Bastion and assembled half the Dark Uprising terrain.

I painted a dwarf from oathmark, as part of my quest to have as many different kinds of dwarfs/dwarves as possible

Finishing 3 Marvel models, the rest of Leveticus' old core for Malifaux and a Wanyudo

Finishing off the Obelisk today. I still need to base it and it’s too tall for my shelf with the flight stand. I am leaning towards sawing off part of the flight stand. It will still be taller than a knight so it shouldn’t impact gameplay.

Basecoating all the Dark Uprising Mortalis terrain in gunmetal and continuing to work on a Bastion.

Worked on a metal Eldar Phoenix Lord.

Today I have to make a few final decisions on a D&D adventure I'll be running tomorrow evening & type up the notes.

I also need to get the D&D Auranox Gold Dragon mini primed.

Starting up my half-painted Crossroads Seven again and still working away on Crime Bosses and Hollow Waifs to finish 2 other Malifaux crews. At a bit of a block with the Crime Bosses though so will probably set them aside soon

Got a unit of Pistoliers I'm building for my Cities of Sigmar army. Too humid to basecoat so my goal is to just build as much stuff as I can in prep for painting it all later.

Staring at an eclectic mixture of unpainted Guard metal minis and deciding what I'm going to put on their base.

Gave a set of elderly brushes a new purpose in life.

Ebay rescue deadnaught. I think I can get him done in one day start to finish. I'm done the green and metal parts, just need some edge highlights, gold trim and random lenses/insignias. I'm going to keep a limited palette for the honors since he's probably never going to see play.

Just have the obliterators left and I'll have finished my SHadowspear box. Of course, I bought two boxes of chaos marines since then I'll have to do after that and a pretty big stack of random cultist models I've been collecting...

I'm more than halfway through the plastic pile of shame but it was a pretty big pile to start with

Started assembling elves. Gw is both genius and troll/jerk with this model borrows page from 40k and holds together by belief...

1 piece snapped off when cutting with clippers but luckily not essential part and gluing it to waist solved issue. Next to paint without breaking it...and rest of elves. 1 pike twisted already when i opened box. But at least not broken.

Yes, they are blue, not green. I have background fluff that explains the abnormal coloration but will divulge into that later.
And yes, that grot is carrying a looted bolter..
At work right now for another 12 hour shift but I will be working on these little blue devils once Im home again..

Repainting my Iron Hands. Im not a great painter but I've improved since I painted them. I'm not working right now because of COVID so I have time.

Finishing off a slightly wonky Guard Astropath. It's generally not noticeable, but on close inspection the top of his head under his hood is missingl his eye sockets are MASSIVE instead.

Dred is almost done. He was gouged in a few places by the previous owner and the primer was a little thick, but he still looks okay.

Painting some more $2 shop dinosaurs and bases as practice before I start my first 40K stuff.
Trying out different primer/base/wash combos in my artbook before seeing how my non-GW acrylics look on plastic.
Suspect I will need to bit the bullet and grab a couple of their metallics and contrasts to get the effect I want though.

Assembly for pikes was one of the easiest I have had for 2 part weapons to body actually.

What I dread will be playing needing to stay in b2b until you don't want to be in shining company...Ordered some movement trays for that purpose. Metal sheet so magnets under base helps keeping them in formation and no edges so enemy can put models in b2b normally...if they can fit...those pikes poke where enemy will be...going to be paint to play.

Think my attempt possibly came out at about £10 over that (including the cost of the pdf), due to having to buy new ink cartridges, cardstock, spray mount and sticky back plastic.

Result, wish I had been able to afford to buy US Letter size paper (known as quatro size) instead of A4, but it was prohibitively expensive, not bad for my first attempt at book binding though -

*Re-read the Bolt Action 2e rules, make an army list, & sort out my models (it's been so long since I last played BA that I'm not sure wich models are wich squad wise & they're all scrambled up in the case)
*Make a Team Yankee list/make sure I know what's in what squads (like BA it's been awhile, but this case doesn't require re-sorting.)
*Add some squad marking to my WWII Shermans.
*And finally type up some final notes for the next D&D session.

Finished the ShadowSpear box, now I just have to paint/assemble all the junk i bought while waiting to get to the box. Tried painting the Master of Executions's flesh tabbard in all the various contrast skin-tones....



Got reminded that all the official ones are really just shades of European. Added some contrast wildwood panels but dang, I need to develop some good skin recipes.

I made some scarabs from the bits of my ark and obelisk.

My youngest son got into my entire chaos and Sob collection (as well as my knight) and peeled most of the miniatures apart. It's a whole lot of repair work today.

I painted a squad of 3d printed primaris sized grey knights. I think I will run them as terminators and use the actual terminators as Paladins



And I might work on my realm lords some more after work.

Got most of the way through Aquaman, Mera, Martian Manhunter, Shazam and Black Adam and started work on my Zipp core box for Malifaux

Still working on the Battle Sanctum. I've got most of the main areas coloured in, so this week will be focusing on tidying up where they meet and doing trim.

First run at "Infamy Infamy" as a small force of my Anglo-Saxons from SAGA wore wings and false glasses to pretend to be Gauls, taking on some Romans pretending to be a different sort of Roman.

its a very nice set of rules, needs a few plays through I think and there is a lot of similarity with Sharp Practice thats going to cause many headaches swapping between the two, well worth it though.

even if I didn't manage to find where "mixed weapons" were defined so my Gauls were denied any ranged attacks... will remember for the next game

Working on the old Wraithlord and War Walker that I got from eBay! Three of each actually! My fingers are a bit sore from working all that metal with filing, pinning, cutting, repositioning, cutting my fingers, stabbing my pin-vice in my thumb, etc.

Great fun all around to work on these classics!

Dusted up my valentines and varnished them, glued sand on my cultist and dismounted knight's bases, was distracted when courier arrived and dropped off my long awaited(shipping delays becasue of the virus) order from Mortian. Spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up and sorting through parts of my 3 tanks (2 medium, 1 heavy battle tank).

Currently striping paint off some WHFB 6th edition Chaos Knights. Just got to let them soak a biiit longer.

Fixed table randomizer feature of my tournament organizer for LOTR. Some times it gave table 0(non existant) for one or all games. Took a while to find out. Especially hard as it was not appearing every time...

I hope to have these done before I get my indomitus necrons. Right now the goal is to get a 2k list ready. I still need to paint 10 horsemen, a casket and 15 tomb guard.

Working on last 5 models for my tournament armies in LOTR and prepared those to plate to carry with. And continue painting 10 lumineth pikes

Based and varnished cultists and dismounted knights, painted 2x kangaroo commanders, varnished them and glued them into their vehicles and magnetism kangaroo pintle weapons. Painted weathering and details on my support Rheboks.

I've recently returned to 40k after about 25 years and currently repairing and repainting the parts of my collection that I've found so far during a clearout. At the moment, I'm working through my plastic Imperial Guard army. The ones that didn't need any work are pretty much finished apart from varnishing, so today I'm starting on those that were badly assembled or have been broken in storage - the hard part!

Finished building my metal OOP Eldar models. Three Dreads, three Walkers, 5 Warlocks and 1 Farseer. Got some extra 60mm bases from a friend so was able to put the finishing touch and glue them in place!

Finished building the reanimator. Very fragile model, but it looks amazing. It has way more detail than I thought from the initial images.

So far I'm getting back into the hobby. Picked up 9th, dug out some of my un-built or painted series 1 of Space Marine Heros to shake off a bit painting rust.

As last time I was serious about the hobby was back when black reach? Was the new starter box.

Finished painting/weathering my Rheboks and varnished them. One is just missing it's commander at this point.

Finished up a province reassignment: Lothern to Chrace.

Finally finished all the Chaos Power armor with the raptors. Flipping over to Cultists as I rebuild all my lists. I had 60 cultists in my old list - that was a price increase that hurt, let me tell you:

I converted a 40k outrider into a 30k outrider. Twas far easier to do than i thought it would be.

Crushed of bits of brick i found laying around at work to be used as rubble for Stalingrad terrain and will be doing some more winter Germans in a bit.

Also tried a metallic orange paint spray that I couldn't get to adhere to anything even with primer. Tossed it in the trash, if anyone knows a nice metallic blue or orange spray for minis let me know.

You can do similar with that based on other people's experience but I started this army before contrast came and won't change to keep style uniform. It's airbrushed gunmetal all over, from 45 degree angle steel and then from top silver(vallejo model colours). Then transparent blue again from vallejo. That's it.

If you have airbrush it's very quick and easy process. For just odd model or two it's more annoying due to airbrush cleaning and waiting to dry but can't have everything

Worked on another terrain piece. Another bridge of chip board, granny grating, and chicken wire.

Been on assembly line mode. 10 necron praetorians, another indominatus set, cryptek. Did go and set up terrain for tomorrow's lotr tournament i'll be running

Started painting 12 cavalry scout dismounts a CRV commander, 3 tank commanders and a tank loader. A modest batch of desert guardsmen.
Assembled and attached smoke discharger clusters to a Mortian battle tank turret.

Finished that bridge and started on two Eldar Phoenix Lords.

Got most of the way through painting a giant scorpion from Reaper to be a dread fiend for Kings of War

Finished building my first of 3 sets of the indomitus marines. Plenty of subtle conversions and pose changes here there and everywhere- really taking my time with these models, they're beautiful!

Finished painting tankers and cav soldiers. Varnished them and based cav dismounts.

Having a go at Blanchitsu for one of those arty-farty hobby movements.

Got some more paint on a metal Exarch.

Finished a jungle skirmish board (22 x 30).


Also got to play Pulp Alley on a cool desert board that my buddy made.

Primed a Realms of Battle tile I plan to use as a display base and a few old Hexagon terrain pieces.

Turned a box of Easy to Build Intercessors into 2 Intercessor Sergeants with Stalker Bolt Rifles and a basic Assault Intercessor to give me more choices.

Finished the crew of a screaming skull catapult and now painting the siege weapon. I'm hopeful I can have this army done by the end of September.

Working on all these models. 9 praetorians, cryptek, 10 warriors, lumineth test model and reaper model that willbe used as lumineth wizard

Light work on some tank weapons. Co-axle heavy stubbers, and making some gun mantles for some additional tank weapon options to name a few.

Working on some Puppetswar Orks I ordered ages ago. They look ok, but the resin production was pretty rough. Its noticable on the organic bits sadly.

Putting magnets to bases of my necrons.

I've been working on a rather niche project: managed to get hold of quite an exclusive model, the gunnery officer from the Nemesis Titan. Always thought he was quite unique, so I did a slight repose and gave him a cigar. Decided to go for quite garish colours, including a blue-stone cane which in game/fluff terms could be a nice force-cane or other esoteric weapon.

He's not finished yet but I'm pretty pleased with the progress so far. My Guardsmen are all Hostile Environment based so while he doesn't fit in quite with that aesthetic, my justification is that he's had internal bioaugmentation to deal with the amount he smokes, rendering him safe in most environments anyway.

Updated my android "event deck" app to allow it to load in different decks for different games.

There was a bug that basically added to the existing deck rather than first clear it before loading in the new one. I had written in a "read only" feature to protect the "master copy" deck but somehow I had written it so that it would happily add cards but not clear it...starting to wonder how on earth I was so sloppy.

Sand bagged and tracked up the front of my wyvern/assault tank and added (magnetised) plasticard HEAT skirts to the sides. It's looking pretty gnarly.

Getting all my hobby stuff ready for moving.

Putty on the baneblade turret, it is an ongoing work. Worked on wyvern/assault tank. Nearly to priming stage, just need to scrounge some periscopes. Gave it a looted boss pole and some trophies.

Exhanging weapons on some AT knights.

Doing a mess of paint scheme tests with TurboDork paints. The Colorshift and Metallics look great, but I'm having a devil of time getting it to spread evenly.

Looks like my Green Stuff colorshifts finally cleared customs. Guess I'll do a compare.

I finished 10 skeleton horses. I need to give the horsemen another bath in the untrasonic cleaner and rebuild them. This was by far the worst unit I had left in terms of cleanup. After this, it's just a bunch of NIB, NOS or unpainted units to go.

Doing some quick paint testing with CHaos Black. SOmeone told me it was a gloss primer but I'm not 100% certain

Found all the marines but after 2 hours of going through boxes of miniatures I’ve only found 6 weird boys, 1 minder, 5 cyboars, 1 rider, most of a Shokk attack gun and mek, a runt herd, 6 tin boys, A bad moon captain and a Goff captain. Gutted.
And no plastic ork arms!

Finished 20 warriors and　redid 56 a bit. Now have 120 necron warriors done.

40K: Built a Zoat & a Biovore (+spore mines) for a possible Crusade game.
40K: Built a GSC Patriarch (+ Magus, Primus, & familiars)

To do;
40K: Build a Goliath truck. And consider Orkifying it?
Bolt Action: Assemble/prime about 20 Germans - & by assemble I mean clean flash/mold lines & glue to base as they're all 1 piece metals.
Bolt Action: Assemble/prime a goofy looking little German rocket carrying track thing that I can never remember the name of. It's a little ammo hauler with four of those big rockets they stuck on the sides of the 1/2tracks. It's essentially a self-propelled Nebelwerfer. Looks goofy as Hell.
AoS: Make some objective markers.
AoS: Prime my Herdstone.
AoS: Maybe make my own Herdstone/sacrificial Ungor pit as I'm just not in love with the official Herdstone model.
AoS: Re-prime/re-paint my Chimera. It's not bad, just didn't turn out.... right.

Back to working on some more OOP Wave Serpent turrets.

Bit of green stuff to do some fur on the tabard and now he’s starting to look more viking like... kept the shield he came with for spares as looks too nice to cut up.

Today I got to play a game of Pulp Alley - this time using Battletech miniatures! Works swell for BT type battles.

After getting wrecked by the pandemic, my goal of adding 1 new player/month to our AoS pool has resumed!

I ran an AoS Gitz vs "order" battle Thur. evening in our D&D game to play out a mass battle. Two of the guys were very interested.
Today I get a text from one asking if/what time we were playing AoS this evening (he knows Sat is generally our minis night).

So we had a 4 player/1k pt Seraphon vs Beastmen/Kharodon battle with him running 1/2 the Seraphons & taught the rules more in depth than on Thur..
End of the evening? He ordered a Luminoth set.

Now I just need to add 4 more AoS players to get the goal caught up....

Scraping sand off the bases of 2nd hand models I got so I can paint and flock them.

Magnetized the base of 30 Gaunts with Devourers as well as 6 Genestealers over the weekend.

Been a bit on the slow side for the hobby for me lately, and magnetizing bases isn't really flashy, but as we'll prepare for a crusade soon I should start something a bit more substantial!

Finished my plastic necron army unit, a box of the green rod warriors. My force now includes
Includes 20 warriors; 5 immortals; 5 snipers; 3 destroyers; 1 metal tomb spider; 6 scarab bases; 1 lord; and that floaty weapons platform thing. Works great for Grim Dark Future!

Just finished building a Seraphon Realmshaper Engine.

Next up? Painting it.

Just finished this one...

Tiny Furniture's "Troll Chief Throne" is a single-piece miniature, which stands 3 1/2" tall on a 2" x 2" base. Pretty large for a miniature -- and it's certainly not just tiny furniture! The throne is composed of various dragon, animal, humanoid, and human skulls and bones, held together with wood, leather, and rope, on a stone base. There's even a large stone axe and a rune stone. Even though the name of the figure is "Troll Chief Throne", the throne is fine for large evil humanoids, such as ogres, and physically powerful orcs, bugbears, etc. The throne has not only the incredible detail you expect from Tiny Furniture, but your players will want to pick it up and look at it closely, to try to identify the different skulls and other features on this impressive structure! As something of a spoiler, look for: a mammoth skull and tusks, a second set of mammoth tusks, a third set of mammoth tusks, two gigantic humanoid (orc?) skulls, the skull of a giant cat, an even bigger skull of an even gianter cat, and a dragon skull! Those trolls have certainly been busy! The model is available both unpainted and painted. Despite all this detail and features, this terrain piece can be easily painted quickly by a beginner. Intermediate painters with a little experience with blood effects will want to give the huge stone axe a nice coat of blood, and perhaps a blood stain on the steps of the throne. Just to make things interesting. I'm sure if you have extra skulls for basing, you could find some room for them on the steps as well. Painters will also be happy to know that the miniature has minimal prep, with pretty much no mold lines or gaps.

Played game of aos so not much painting but some progress with　horses. Googling images of horses realized white "socks" to legs is good way to vary horses and one grey horse got dotty pattern to fur. Crazy me did that with 3 colours individually with highlight brush. Dot, dot, dot...

I am painting more tiny frogs and mushrooms for such as a pond

More lumineth dawnriders. One horse got pinto colouring. I decided to vary more of my horse colours than my usual brown/grey. So far 10 horses, 6 different colour schemes.

I built the last of my tomb guard and decided to make a couple more unit fillers from the hard to rank up ones. I have a block of 47 now, plus a king in the front. I still need to fill the cracks on the sides of the ribcages.

Worked on some Leman Russ tanks for an upcoming Crusade project. Magnetized just about every weapons port for one, so I can swap between a battle cannon and plasma cannon for extra fun. Also magnetized the rear of the turret, so I can swap in the relevant box cover as well.





Since taking the pictures I've also added on a search light and a pintle-mounted stubber, along with some extra kit to the rear in form of a tool box and an oil tin.

Just wrapped up making movement trays for 2 20 man Chaos Warrior regiments and gluing together the models necessary to complete said units to that number.

Trying to get back on a pre-Indomitus Space Marine sergeant that's been sitting pieces on my bench. I keep finding myself browsing Dakka instead of actually working on it though . . .

I glued Grimgor and his black orcs together. My black orcs are a mix of 4th and 6th edition, and I will need to split the units off at some point so that they match.

Keep on working on lumineth. Good thing i have holiday. Dawnriders have so many details that despite them looking done except shields still 20 or so steps. Before shields...

Assembled the Glaivewraiths from mortal realms magazine 4 and grabbed some of the leftover Issue 1s to round myself off at a grand 120 Chainrasps all up. 80 assembled for now.

Continued painting the GW Plasma Regulator kit. Added transfers to two FW Wave Serpents and sealed.

Researching Horus Heresy-era companies of Chaos Marines for a one-off paint job.

Kit bashing some kasrkin troopers with the newish scions and cadian rebreather heads along with the standard cadian flak vest.
Found a bag on metal kasrkin in my to do stash. Sadly one trooper is missing so knocking up a Sargent out of some bits to round off a Small squad of troopers.

Completed 10 dawnriders so all my lumineth done just in time for new ones. Ride on saturday!

Painting heads and playing with blood.

Introduction: What's future-retro and full of rust? Why, it's Tiny Furniture's "Junk cart". This post-apoc miniature has the back half of a 1950's car (maybe an Edsel?) and two construction beams to pull it around. Perfect for a game of Fallout or any other post-apocalyptic game. The deck lid of the trunk has been removed, and a big pile of retro-future junk is there, too. This is a multi-piece miniature, with a removable junk pile so you can have an empty junk cart, or put something else in it. Thematically, you will probably want the car and junk rusted, which would make the miniature best for intermediate painters. Beginning painters, of course, can easily paint this miniature, if they prefer to give it a brown wash instead of rust effects. The miniature has pretty much no mold lines, and assembly is easy. Both unpainted and painted versions are available.

The miniature has multiple pieces: two construction beams that serve as handles, the back half of a 1950's car that serves as the back of the car, two different pairs of tires (you only need one for the cart, so the other two can be used as junk or attached to the handles), and a removable block of various retro pieces of junk. The block of junk can be turned around. The junk pile junk are, from most noticable to details : a car door, a tire, a suitcase, a gas can, some gas cylinders, a futuristic case, wooden chests, and some bottles. That's a lot of detail, all of it future-restro-istic. The pieces fit together easily. In the pictures, I just use putty.

Bought a Deep Cuts minotaur today. Already cut his sword away, green-stuffed his back and glued him to a base.
For $15, it beats the $33 plus shipping an actual bb minotaur would cost.

Finishing up this Deep Cuts Minotaur to use for my Chaos BB team. Other than matching his base to the team, putting on a number and possibly working on his horns a little more, he's pretty much finished.

Upgraded my gripping beast dismounted teutonic knights with some putty.
Modified a helm to look a tad more realistic(basically modified it from a 'Ned Kelly' pattern great helm into an acceptable 12th-14th century helm), gave the only bloke who wasn't wearing a helm, a helm(safety first lads, awesomeness second, and great helms are protective and awesome ) and removed some crests styles I had duplicates of with new ones(namely 2fan style crests and a feathered winged style and a buffalo horns) for a bit of variety.

Still going through boxes of miniatures looking for Orks. Each time I spend a few hours searching, find one Ork and a whole bunch of space marines. It’s like my hobby has become emulating GWS release schedule.

Made a proper start on my Indomitus Chaplain for this month's painting challenge. No lamps as I've just moved which makes it hard to do anything!

Been bit by the black dog again so have been laid off work for a week and grabbed some old guard stuff to go through to at least occupy my mind or try anyway.
Can’t see me getting much done mind but hell anything is better than literally going crazy.

Finished painting and texturing bases for a platoon of stargrunt minis.

Only able to take some army shots of my Sister's of Battle Army.

Tiny Furniture's "Guillotine" is a multi-piece set, including guillotine, basked, and unfortunate man's head. The miniature may be purchased by itself, or as part of Tiny Furniture's "The Execution Day" set, which includes "1) Gallows and Scaffold, 2) Executioner axe and chopping block, 3) Guillotine, 4) Pillory, 5) Torturer". Both the "Guillotine" and "The Execution Day" miniatures may be purchased unpainted or painted.

Like Tiny Furniture's other miniatures, their guillotine miniature has great details, even having a rope and tie down the side, pulley atop the blade, and various metal fasteners. The platform, where the victim would be lain down, is a single piece, rather than hollow, making it less likely to break apart. Assembly is pretty easy. You can even use putty (with superglue) to put the miniature together, if you wish to take it apart after play for safer storage.

Assembled a AoS Arch-Revenant for the Sylvaneth.

Beautiful sculpt. But holy gak. This things got detail under detail under more detail.... It's worse than my Fyre Slayers. Ordinarily I'd grudgingly paint each "layer" of a mini like this, then build/paint the next layer. But it'll be quite some time until I get around to properly painting it & I need it on the table in the very near future. So for now it's assembled, primed, & soon to be base coated - and there'll just come a day when painting it is that much more difficult.

I did magnetize its zephyrspite wings though.
That way when I sacrifice them to negate a killing blow the model can reflect that. Also helps with storage.

Completed 10 warden pikes. Next up 15 archers more.

Broken out the mili-putt again and am upgrading my gripping beast dismounted teutonic knights with some plated protection to bring them firmly into the early 14th century.

Bracers (forearm) polyens (elbows) and a mix of pretty small pauldrons/ailettes (boards strapped tied over the shoulder that display heraldry).

I hurt my back lifting a massive box of metal miniatures down out a high cupboard, the joys of oldhammer are lies!

Stripping paint off some used Empire Knights I bought. Going to repaint them as Reiksguard. Also finishing highlights on a Slaughter Priest.

Tonight I need to do some serious prep for our next D&D game.

I am working on painting my ork army. I've had the orks for quite some time but have never gotten around to painting them. I've been painting a lot of boyz, stormboyz, and a battlewagon.

Me, I have spent the last couple week building my Lumineth army. Not featured in the photo below is the additional Stone Guard with picks to get them up to a unit of 10.



I think this weekend I am going to try and finish Avalenor and a Spirit of the Mountain model. Which just leaves me 5 more Dawn Riders and Teclis to build. I started Avalenor tonight, but like almost everything else in the Lumineth model line, it's being rather aelven to build.



Part of me thought maybe I should have done the Spirit of the Mountain first, but I figured I would do a better job during the first build plus I could swap out any parts I ding up during the build. Those ribbons around the legs. Broken part of one removing it from the sprue. Tried the other kit and manged to finesse it off only to again break part of the ribbon cleaning the nub. It glued on well enough, but imagine it is only a matter time that it breaks in a game and I lose it completely.

They are really nice models though.

Tiny Furniture's "Medieval Castle Toilets" is a three-piece resin miniatures set, consisting of a one-piece stone toilet, and a two-piece wooden toilet with a cover. (If you want a fancier chamberpot, look at the Noble's Bedroom.) Tiny Furniture miniatures have an incredible level of detail, and these miniatures are no exception. The wood has wood grain throughout, visible at at tabletop distance. The cover of the wood toilet fits just fine. You can distinguish the individual stones, as well as see the texture. You could also use the wood toilet as a small tub, but that might be a little gross. Although these are based on castle toilets, they can be used in any wooden structure, such as an inn, or stone one. The miniature comes in both an unpainted and painted version. I got a couple of beefs against Chaos now.



Just finished and primed my battle cattle and plan to undercoat them tomorrow. I also started my second set of Dawn Riders. They got some healthy mold lines on them that my first set didn't. So they may take awhile. I'll see how far I get through the week, but if I'm not close to finishing I might work on Teclis instead. That would complete my entire Lumineth army for model building.

Painting a plastic halloween spider for pulp alley. Also painted some leftover bits from souldrain forest. Glued them together to make bushes.

Does ordering a new Tamiya glue count? Also planning what conversions to do with the Vanguard Clones from the Spires range of the Conquest: the Last Argument of Kings.

Tiny Furniture's "Medieval bakery" is a multi-piece miniature set consisting of... quite a few pieces! A bread oven, a warming oven, and two bakery tables with overhead shelving are just the start. A wine cask... bushel of cabbages... urn and lid... broom... sacks... flour stone mill... pitcher... small basket, two wine bottles, sprig of garlic, two jars on one sprue... pie, two pieces of pastry, and a pretzel on another... plate... sack of apples... sack of grain... another sack of grain... apron hanger... washcloth hanger... three pastries... and two serving baskets of cookies. That's one busy bakery. Many of these pieces are available individually. The set is available unpainted and painted. (The last photo is the painted version.)

Each of the larger pieces also has smaller items on them. The oven has two smaller candles, a fire, and firewood. One overhead shelving has a pumpkin, lid, container, bowl of something, two pretzels, jar with cover, small plate of wafers, two notes, and three dried vegetable sprigs. The other overhead shelving has two jars, three bowls of different somethings, a basket of apples, a mug-shaped basked of another something, a sprig of garlic, a bread cutting board, some sort of brush, two notes, and a rag. One kitchen counter island has three apple or meat turnovers, two bowls of stuff, a rolling pin, a pitcher, a pestle, and basket of round breads or cookies. The other has a book, jar, two pastries, a pie, and rolling pin.

Lightly spray canned white on the back of a X-Wing game mat to make a Frostgrave-looking surface for Pulp Alley games in the snow.

Rebased a platoon of US FoW weapons MGs and mortars and the HQ for a 105mm battery because I didn't like the way I did the job about 8 years ago.

Also made 3 objectives for a Pulp Alley game for this weekend.

Tried my luck with oil painting with miniatures. Not sure how happy with result or is it even worth the effort

Working on another scratch built Ventilator for Necromunda and gluing together some old metal Goliaths.

Built 3 Aggressors and 3 Outriders.

I started working adding some treads to my dunerider but couldn't find my plasticard. Then I started work on basing my Skitarii and my basing material had messed up. So then I built some vanguard and I'm going to hopefully paint them tomorrow.

Finished my Teclis. I can now play 2k fully painted with some options!

Bases for my Last Blossom keyword for Malifaux and some bits and pieces to get Infamous closer to painted. Hoping by the tournament on Sunday next week I can have Wastrel and Last Blossom fully based

I considered sub-assemblies, but everything is open and will be just a little awkward to maneuver around. Sure, it is going to be tougher to paint, but I prefer it over the contact points being a little weaker. Or in the case of Celennar making sure the right paws are where I want them. Probably going to be safer in terms of breakage with everything together where I can place the model aside without it resting on something it probably shouldn't.

It'll be fine.

I've had to contort way more on other models that what I will with Teclis.

Update; So, after building 10 of these girls I can say.... I just don't like assembling these things. Fortunately I only need to do 6 more of them.

Primed me valentine battle tank turrets
started painting the details on my crusader battle tanks.

Dull coated my most recently painted stargrunt platoon (only one more unit left to go).

Painted the base color, highlighted and washed a dollar store tank that will be a predator for my space marines.

Working on 3rd Kangaroo, has larger antenna and a larger missile/rocket mount, capable of taking a full sized FFAR pod (instead of that pissant thing they put on sentinels these-days...) or 2x3 ATGM tube (converted from a havoc launcher). Will work on air defence launchers next. Big long box with some holes in each end.
Think M2 Bradley linebacker, prehistoric edition.

Lol. As a fellow slow/random painter, been there/done that.
My solution? I write it down & keep the notes with the unit/in the army case. Its saved me a bunch of effort reinventing the wheel.
