Here the 8th and last bike, It'a very sketch up WIP, but You can see the shape as It will be.
Need a lot of work of GS on the harms, legs and hips still.
C&C welcome
It looks like the standard axe on the top hand, and you have extended it onto the bottom (though the photos/angle may be skewing my perspective) - so I would suggest shortening it, or making the axe head bigger. If it's a boy, I'd lean towards the former, a nob, the latter. Alternatively, you could try to bring the hands together (so there is no shaft between them) - which may help keep the look you have got going without making it look "off".
Thanks LDD, without You I would talk to myself Before the krash bike is going under the brush I have to do the other four bikerz that are primed and waiting, then the slugga boyz and only after the three new bike.
I do this to keep myself motivated with painting (hard thing to do ).
I also plan to start building the second truk, the one for the shoota boyz soon, so a bit of everything, hobby related, to move things along nicely
That's really a terrific scheme you have there Sel, and you're carrying it out extremely well. A wonderful compliment to your excellent building skills.
Right on on that, I'm having really fun with this army and I'm starting to love more and more all the aspect of this hobby, so a sudden stop is almost impossible.
Missing only a game, but I'm organizing that as well, if everything goes as It should in a month or so I'll be fielding this green-orange tide.
Hallo everybody, I'm happy!
Done with the Nob trike and the 'ard nob (missing some color on the base) Git: close ups are a bit difficult with the lenses i own for my camera, but here is the best I could shot
C&C welcome and now I'm going to tackle the sidecar biker...
Thanks everyone!
I have to say that when I started painting this army I couldn't expect such a result, I always thought that I am a converter only, kitbash and cut and glue, but let's say It:
I really like what I'm doing with the brush and I intend to push further I'm thinking also to try to paint the SM commander of the AOBR box to see how I manage a totally different paint job, but that is for the future.
Cheers again, I'll upload the pics of the sidecar biker when I'll be at a good point with It and the crashed bike with dakka and GS work finished.
Hi guys!
Working on the sidecar bike and the bikerz at the moment (all the orange armor), but very slowly, work is being a pain in the recently.
At the beginning of next week I should be able to show some serious progress I hope.
Keep tuned on
You really are putting me to shame, great stuff the trike is looking friggin awesome, the sidecar is great as well however I would like to see one with a passenger
LDD: I don't know why You wanna add some unlucky passenger on all my bikes , It may be a lack of company? Thanks again for the kind words, I hope that seeing my minis turning out at this speed You wanna catch up with me
SelvaggioSaky wrote:LDD: I don't know why You wanna add some unlucky passenger on all my bikes , It may be a lack of company? Thanks again for the kind words, I hope that seeing my minis turning out at this speed You wanna catch up with me
I would love to catch up with you mate, however I cant ever see that happening
Plus I feel a side car with a passenger would look cool, plus if you are riding to your death why do it alone LOL
Yes, I cant get over how well that orange has worked the group look great together really nice work.
Hope you build the biker club something I have thought of doing with the some of my EM4 minis, it just screams for it to be done I was evening thinking of names
Thank You guys!
I'm starting to think that other people are a bit bored about this thread or they don't see anything worth of a replay Git and LDD, I give You both the tiile of "Sir of Da Krazy Pak" Bring It proudly around the Internet

I think people get side tracked thats all, I have subscribed to so many threads that I lose track at times
Plus it depends where there true interest lies, trust me you are doing great things don't get discouraged.
People will drop by from time to time, plus I want to steal your ideas
LDD: I know, but I see a load of views and little replays, so mine was just a question for the folks out there.
I think I could have formulated better, but anyway, no problem at all
DAZ one kal mob of da orks! But its look runtie, cus it needs me in dat mob so wez can have da WAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking good man!
Started tonight the second truk, nothing worth of a pic, but I just let You know a few things...
Front part of a hammer mounted on top of two shortened track from a Rhino.
I'll put the gunner underneath the cab, between the tracks, let's see how It'll come out
Here with the beginning of the second Truk, the one for the shoota.
This truk will have a trailer for the transport of the ladz.
The gunner will be sit behind the ram with the controller for the two guns on the outside of the tracks, the driver on top of the hammer cab and I'll make a few exausts coming out of the sides, where the wheels of the hammer would have been.
I'm not sure if I'll do the driver standing or sit down tho...
enjoy the pics and remember, C&C are always wanted and welcome.
For my 500th post, Yes 500 I have a little update on the second 'alf Truk.
Added the gunner, the exhausts and the engine.
Let me know what You think Next update the driver, I choose to make him standing up, let's see how It'll look
And some shots of the gunner in His little kingdom.
Thanks Dood515, welcome to the Krazy Pak!
The ladzwill be put on a trailer that I'll build with a bottle (fuel tank shaped basically).
The dakka is a litte OTT, but is really only a big gun more and in game I should be able to play with the normal rules (opponent choice at the end...)
when ever your making things i can never see where there going, your conversions and scratch builds are just so original its ridiculous. Did not see this coming and cant wait to see what you'll do next
Thanks for the kind words lads!
Work is sucking any will of build more stuff at the moment, but tomorrow I'll go to the post office to pick up a truk and a BW.
I guess that with the new flood of bitz coming the progress on this thing will restart.
Here have you seen these heads from puppetwars have not been released as of yet, but I will be getting some for my bikers easy rider will become a reality now
Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates lately, I'm still working on the second 'alf trak don't worry and tomorrow I should put on a couple of pics.
Meanwhile I finished off the crashing bike with all the GS that was necessary Plus I undercoated the three Kopta Kanz and the slugga boyz, so I will take the brush in hand soon Keep an eye open for tomorrow, I think You'll like what I'll post
Here the pics I promised First off the Krashed bike ready to be undercoated.
And the second Trak, The head of the beast is called "Big Tiff" by the ladz of the Krazy Pak. To be part of the Klan You should kill one and then wear a piece of the pelt on your shoulder (that's why every mini in my army has fur in that place ).
The shield is from the SW, in my fluff a great battle between the orkz and the Fenris chapter brought great fame to the Krazy Pak.
They are now waiting for more "tuff hummiez" to come and fight Plus the engine and differential is done, enjoy!
Great job all round the crashed bike is such a cool idea and looks the bomb, the trak truck thing looks evil and bad ass and the sculpted head looks like my dog which is cool and sad at the same time.
Gits: thanks, He enjoys His job, driving and seeing all the hummiez splatter around from above, what a ork would want more? LDD: I'll see when I finish the levers that the driver use to move the thing, I might add some...
San76: cheers man and welcome back, Your last SM is awesome, post more! Sir William: Welcome to Da Krazy Pak, It's good to see more Goerk and Mork followers around
I dont know how I missed this. Everything looks awesome. And those Kopta Kanz.....SICK!!!! YOu have put together some wonderful conversions. Even your card and gs looks really good.
You have really put alot of thought into your army and it shows. Love the colors as well. You really pulled off the orange nicely. I have to say I am a fan of 'Da Krazy Pak.
Don't worry guys, Its not bad at all, just work and vacation time for my mates, so It's overloading and I come home without any inspiration.
Thanks anyway guys, the Krazy Pak will be back in full swing soon!
Sorry to worry You guys, I may have used the wrong words... Anyway, I started to paint the three missing bikez (krashed one as well), soon an update pic
This is inspiring work. It’s well executed but what stands out the most is the amount of character you have added to many of the pieces. All I can say is, I’m a fan.
Meatshield: thanks a lot, I do orks because of how I imagine them to live and fight, at the end they came out by themself!
LDD: I just finished the checks on the three missing bikes, but work still on a roll and I'm going to bed now!
Soon, really soon, the bikerz will become 8 and You'll see what I have in mind for the trailer of the second'alf truk!
Ok, It's time to show some progress on the last bike and bikerz (just to make sure that You all know that the Krazy Pak is moving along )
A bit of touches on the bikes and a lot to do on the drivers, but almost there, fortunally I'll be in vacation for a couple of weeks from Saturday and have the second week totally free for my army
Cheers guys!
I agree with Git, let's use the maximum amount of time when possible...
Anyway, Bikez are done, with basing, driver to do, but in a couple days should be over with them.
is beatiful! Made me laugh with sheer pleasure over the compact orkyness of the whole this. You need to paint it!
Regarding your painting: I´m really enjoying to see your improvements from picture to picture. I think you´re doing great, just keep it up!
The only thing I have to suggest for even further improvment of this thread is this: try to crop/cut your pictures a bit. Some of the picutes have a lot of air around the model, which makes them a bit harder to fully appreciate. But that´s just my opinion, you can always zoom ^^
Great job overall, you really need to put some of that GS madness into tutorials, so the rest of us get the chance to make equally good stuff!
Hallo everybody!
Goresaw, HAZZER, cormadepanda: thanks guys, I appreciate!
Grunt: Welcome to Da Krazy Pak, I'm happy that You like what You've seen 'till now and in this post I'll show You that I take the feed backs in consideration
I've done It, the bikes are complete.
You can find all the pics from the four sides in my gallery.
C&C are always welcome
Thanks Git!
The ape-hangers? If You mean the handlebar for the Choppar, It's a plasticard rod with a wire inside that I found in a train model shop.
Sorry if It's not that, but I don't know that word...
I just finished to put together my first Mek with skorcha, KFF and boss pole (the hammer in the right hand is considered Mek's Tools)
Missing some rivets and a bit of GS to round It up.
Let me know what You think about It.
MrMerlin: Thanks again! Unluckily is the only cable I have in the house, so I think It will be the one and only on this model, but I agree on that with You
drglnc: Welcome to "Da Krazy Pak"! Thanks for the compliment
That Mek looks great! I can't wait to see him painted... or base-coated (at least) so I can see all the details. Those bikers are awesome too. I dig the ape-hangers, and the crashing fly boy is a classic. Very orky bunch here.
Greta job mate, I don't think the pipe looks to big my self and the detailing is great, the chain is a nice touch and the handle on the back looks brilliant.
I'm working now on the twelve (with Nob) slugga/choppa boyz that will use the first 'alf truk i built.
Already done the armor and going now to start painting the clothes.
sorry guys, I was late and went there without camera, but I played and enjoyed a lot (even if We lost by two points).
Guess I'll try to have more games soon.
Hallo to all the people that were here almost a year ago and to the new one!
I've been out of the hobby for a while and I don't want to bother You with the reasons why that happened.
The important thing is that I'm back with a bit of job done on the KoptaKan called "Da Toll Uan"
Glad your back mate good to see you are jumping back in with both feet missed you around here
Now let me see Defkopta check, killa Kans arm check, sentinel legs (backwards) check, killa kan feet check, killa kan exhausts check and a Catachan flamer pack check the rest I have no idea
Missed that orange around here glad its back and striking as ever and your work crazed and fun as ever
Thanks for the awesome welcome back LDD.
You got right all the bits, missing only the antenna from the Sentinel and the pole from the Nobz... and a little bag made with GS.
Dam I thought I got an A+ on that you know I looked at the little bag and thought it was from the bretonnian or empire range but could not match it to any of them
What you got coming up next then mate
Have you checked out Spellcrow they have some really great Ork stuff well worth the investment
Also Maxmini has some Ork biker heads in the works check out the thread on Dakka
I'm not yet that back in the game to purchase more stuff, maybe in a few months. I'm planning to do the orange parts on the three Koptakanz and then finish the drivers togeter.
Panda and HAZZER: thanks a lot. Is good to be back.
SelvaggioSaky wrote: Monkeytroll: Cheers Missed all of this, I'm trying to get back with the brush, the checkered pattern use to look better and easier a year ago
LDD: Just had a look at MaxMini thread, I hate You now
HA HAH AH AH HA I hope that s the good kind of hate
As usual great work love the posing of these glad to see your churning these guys out again, although could you please add some other colour to the Orks so we can see them LOL
The black kind of gets lost in the pics, but love the use of decals especially down the helmet that is a real winner
Waiting now for the Thraka Green wash to dry, tonight I wanna do the metal and the last details such as cables, rokets, teeth, eyes, etc.
Bases to finish as well, but that would have to wait an other day at least.
Monkeytroll: Cheers, on the Koptakanz is working pretty well the grey uniform, on the ladz is not that evident.
I thought I can pull It off quick, but I'm really really tired from work, so I'm doing a little bit at the time, Boltgun metal is done on the three Koptakanz plus 12 (with Nob) slugga choppa ladz that I started a year ago,
Maybe tomorrow afternoon I'll be in the mood to do them to the end...Who knows?
I'm also starting to get interested in the Necromunda/Inquisimunda world....
Also I managed to complete (missing only to color the bases and add static grass) the 12 Choppa Slugga Boyz that will use the 'alf trukk I did last year.
Your churning these out mate I swear you have a gang of grots doing these for you, I always like the way you pose your walkers I must try this process when I get around to doing my guards.
All looks great mate and the orange is as bright as ever
Panda: Cheers mate, I did 7 of those last year before I quit for a while and I'm pleased that the other 5 came out that well.
I was pretty scared to have lost the touch after so long
LDD: No grotz in my place, they are way too noisy and dirt, a couple of orkz maybe... Thanks as usual!
Git: Thank You! I do really love to put character in my minis and with orkz is coming naturally.
Don't know what to do next Shall I finish the trailer of the second 'alf truk, paint the Boss Moyz Khan or build the two Deff dread (using an IG sentinel and a Deff) ?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Here We are with the armour done on Mohyz Kan, my Big Boss.
The small pics inside the frame is the back of the PK.
Enjoy
Looking good. Is the skin finished on the Big Boss (in which case you got some orange on it) or still to come (in which case, I hope you can manage it without disrupting your orange work so far!)?
Thanks guys!
@arakasi: I always start with the orange armour in all my minis for the sponge weathering I need to do. The skin will follow.
@san and LDD: gun barrels will be drilled. Don't worry.
SelvaggioSaky wrote: Thanks guys!

suppose it's about time to stop lurking at this thread, pick my jaw up off of the keyboard (or slide it off) and actually type something.
I just love all of your conversions, they are just amazing. All of them so original. It's great to see your painting going from strength to strength too. Love the bright theme and the damage looks great. Kind of want to try out my own klan too!!
SelvaggioSaky wrote: And do You think that black and orange would make the mohak pop out more?
C'mon You can do better
LOL I thought orange and black stripes would work well with your pallet, but I see your point so I thought purple but that will not blend well.
Green will get lost with the skin tone so thats a no, yellow will look to much like blonde so thats just wrong.
So we are left with red, blue or white red I think might get absorbed by the orange so thats not going to work which leaves us with blue and white.
White might look like you are trying to make him look old, so really go blue is that better
Luciusletroll and Andronoid: Thank You so much and welcome to Da Krazy Pak!
I'm starting now 3 of the 12 Nobz waiting for a touch of paint from ages ago....
Automatically Appended Next Post: I said I would paint, but my eyes were sore, so I decided to stay even longer at the PC and write some fluff for Da krazy Pak
Spoiler:
Da Krazy Pak
Planet AX/3 C.P. Of The Empire
-Sarge Malkavian, We found the scouting party We sent two days ago, They're all dead Sir.-
-Bring them back soldier!-
-Yes Sir.-
The recovering squad slowly head back to the base, with the corpses of their brothers.
The Imeprial Guard stronghold was located near the chemical plant and the small Hive the Empire has set on the remote and bare planet at the edge of the sector.
The doctor of the base has just finished the autopsy on the unlucky guards, He seems concerned when entering the Sergeant office.
-These men are not been killed by the beasts of the wild Sir, must have been some kind of humanoid species, signs of slashes on the corpses that are not from an animal, no bites too.-
-Thanks Doc. The weapons and the vehicles were missing too, We knew already that no beast did It. Any idea of the attacker?-
-They must have been strong and big Sir. One of the skulls has been crushed with a stone, helmet too Sir.-
-We must search and destroy this menace at once.-
Sgt. Malkavian of the 133rd turn the cosy harm chair to the window and light a cigarette watching the sun slowly disappear on the black ground on the horizon.
-You can go now, I must speak with the Commissar.-
--------
At the other end of the great island a fire burns in the cave of a small group of greenskins, They are fighting over the loot and everyone is enjoying It.
Good hunt the day before, strange animals that use strange and very loud arrows. Orkz could hear that from miles away. Good arrows that kill the Big Tiff faster and better. After some of this arrows hit a beast, You don't even need to run after the prey until It dies, It dies there.
The other arrow is a bit strange, after You click the red button there's not beast any more, great fire tough.
But the best part has to be the metallic thing with long legs and the other one loud and dirty that leaves a trail of dust where It goes, faster as well.
They want more, there's not enough for all the Klan and fighting will end soon. The bigger and tougher will win and gets the best, the others the scraps and the grots will clean the mess, like after the meal of a good hunt.
One of the orkz is checking what is left of the metallic things that bring around the sqaushy little things they killed the day before, the one with the legs is in half, but the other is not that bad.
He's good with metal, found pieces of that around and now They can go to kill a Big Tiff without sneak around, hopefully He will make this strange things working for a better hunt.
-Got dat ladz! Laud 'n' Stinky! You go.-
One of the boy go for It, get a punch on the back of the head and and another one on the stomach while a third Ork is already on the sit. Touches some levers, twist some buttons and then kick hard, 'cause nothing is happening. The offroad vehicle exit the cavern at great speed smashing a couple of Grots that were not smart enough to get out of the way. All the Klan start to scream and roar full of excitement, that's good stuff, everyone wants to try or jump on It at once. All night pass by in this frenzy.
Ok, don't worry After the armors on the Nobz were ready I decided to make my previously built AOBR Nobz into something better IMHO
Here the pics of (starting left top) Grin, Da Mask, Oneeye and Big'undakka.
The fifth Nob from the AOBR box has already been converted and painted and is leading my 'ard boyz
Sorry I did not reply sooner but been a little hectic plus work gets in the way
Liking the paint job as usual colour scheme is tops but the cheque on the guy far right was a work of genius also I like the cheque across the mouth guard " likee teef "
See the blue has made it in again Like the stripes see white and blue works
Also like the WIP so far but the bottom right guy looks a little awkward in his pose, somehow it looks like he is tripping or falling forward.
I would try either lifting the arm or altering the angle, he just seems of somehow
LDD: cheers man, don't worry RL can be a distraction sometime I see what I can do with the last guy, but that is the main body of a normal AOBR nob Guess where the first guy head is coming....
Git: thanks mate, appreciate the enormous effort You do for the community
Now... I'll be away from home for 5 days (great vacation time ) and I cleaned the house today, so I thought that I deserved a bit of scratchbuilding to take a break from the paintbrush.
Here the result of today Mek's work
This is the beginning of the trailer for the second 'alf truk, I may cut the side nets a bit lower, I'll see at the end
And here the mockup with and withour wheels ( It will be taller when the wheels are attached to the trailer
C&C are welcome as usual, is a early stage, so if You have bright and useful ideas, please don't keep them for yourself
You asked for my opinion on your Big Boss, so here goes... Overall, job's a gud wun. Your strengths are obviously the orange armour, checks and dags and weathering. Perhaps surprisingly - the stone on the base looks really well done too (not where the focus is meant to be, but whatever... it is still worth mentioning) The Klaw conversion looks seamless as well. However, we are all out to improve (hopefully) - and I tend to find the difference between good and great, or great and awesome, really comes down to the small details - so here are some things you might like to consider (or not) for now or next time...
1) Mold lines - gun arm shoulder pad and backpack gun handles (assuming these aren't image issues)
2) Coverage - a number of areas don't look like you have completely covered the black undercoat - back of the bosspole, blue cable connecting the Klaw on the back
3) Depth - some elements seem to have minimal to no shading/highlighting - mohawk, backpack gun handles, gun arm tie, gun arm tie teef and shoulder skull (from side - the bone on top of the bosspole looks a lot better), gun blue cable, black of boots, wolf tail - some or all of this may be image related - but in contrast, there is visible depth to the skin, cloak and rock. However - you missed the skin between the two gun arm ties...
The Deffkopta blade on top of the gun may be a "touch" big too, but if anyone can getaway with that, it's Orks... Some checks or dags along its length may have broken up all of the orange a bit.
Overall - good job - looking forward to your Nobz and trailer.
Oh - and don't get disheartened by lack of comments - we all get busy sometimes. Better to pm some select people for input than point out the obvious in your posts (even if we do take a little while to respond...)
Arakasi: I knew You would respond sooner or later and I really thenk You for the time You spent doing It in such a detailed way I'll take every point You underlined about my job in consideration and adjust It where possible
Done with the clothes and skin of the 3 Nobz, I'm getting close
I also changed the position of the "falling AOBR nob after LDD suggestion and worked with some GS to give some proper pelt and fur to a couple of them.
Panda: Thanks, but I will repaint the little squigg (I will anyway keep the same striped color in white and blue )
Git, Thanks and enjoy the Badab battle, I envy You guys a lot
LDD: If You look closely the pelt on the banner is actually a paw, but I'm guessing that with a bit of color on It would be more visible
Tonight, after work I'll finish the 3 Nobz and I'll show You the pics of the rest of the skuad, with WAAAAAGH banner and a couple of GS modification, stay tuned.
P.S. to Arakasi: Thanks to your feedback I'm going along with the Big Boss while I'm painting these guys . You were right on almost everything
Automatically Appended Next Post: Here for You, as promised, the remaining Nobz.
They're actually been started ages ago , but I still love them All of my nobz (not the AOBR ones) are made with the old metal and new plastic kit... well... kitbashed, both awesome kits anyway
Nobz looks great dude, I'm totally stealing the idea from shredda's arm being posed like that. Renegork looks like a bad ass mother-effer, And I love fork-u's goggles haha
What is the little tiny tank at the front of the 'alf-trukk made out of? That would make a sweet grot tank too!
The nobz have turned out well mate, plus the improvement on your brush work has come through "Practice makes perfect "
Your getting quite a beast of a unit now, kind of leaves me thinking what's up next
well done. The conversions are supurb. I think that orks hair should be even more contrasting; aim for a even lighter blue with white highlights?. the scheme is great.
Thank You Panda: i ensure You that IRL It does look much more highlighted, but I can give It a try anyway and let You know
Thanks LDD, here what's next, I took a break from painting (I'm going to get the brushes on again soon ).
I've done the bed for the trailer of the second 'alf truk. Made with a wooden apple case from work, string and nails
And then I decided to build two CC weapons for the Sentinel that will become a Deff Dread I'll use the legs from a Kan as forearms Lots of touch ups to do with GS and a load of rivets to add, but I'm fairly happy with the result
The CC weapons i am having a hard time picturing how they work/go. One of them i can make out the top right, and it looks good, but the rest leaves me stumped. The trukk is an excellent start!
Thanks LDD!
The tracks that I have in mind are small and just a bit wider of the main body (the one I have done).
Problem is that I can't order anything from the net and I have to do aa complicated scratchbuild....
Let's see how It's going to be.
Anyway, I have to leave this project for next week, this week end there is a Beer Festival in town
SelvaggioSaky wrote: Thanks LDD!

Yes get your priorities right I will wait for the update
@ Git: Thanks for your support along the building and painting of this army It's true that is a satisfaction, I actually restarted painting after I tok all the minis from the boxes almost one year after I left.
Just for the sheer joy of doing stuff and share with other people like me.
@ LDD: yes You do have to catch up... .
like Git You are always here to keep me going, thanks (N° 1 Fan )
@ Panda and San: thanks to You both a swell, there's a lot of inspirational stuff on your Blogs, that's always of help
@ Camkierhi and Squidbot: Welcome to Da Krazy Pak. I'm very happy that You like my job and thanks for the kind words
I'm now painting an other three Nobz and I've undercoated an other 3, so wait for colors update soon!
I really love the random checker you do it it brings everything together. And the orange is epic. On the waghh banner the bones should be super contrasting, a Blue would do wonders.
And then I decided to build two CC weapons for the Sentinel that will become a Deff Dread I'll use the legs from a Kan as forearms Lots of touch ups to do with GS and a load of rivets to add, but I'm fairly happy with the result
Wow... this is actually my first Ork blog ... Those kit+plasticard conversions are fantastic! Consider me subscribed!
Thanks a lot guys and Welcome to "Da Krazy Pak " Overlord Thraka!
LDD: the tusks, skulls and teef are not finished yet, like a lot of little things around the minis, this is a WIP They will be bone color like the rest of the orkz I've done 'till now
Nice work you got a lot done didn't you I think the tusks look much better now although I think you need to add a darker tone brown to the end of the tusk where it meets the helmet.
Thanks LDD!
I do agree with You,I tryed to put some brown on other horns previously, but my painting skills are not up to the task yet.
So I'll keep them like this for now ang touch them up in the future maybe.
Looking good! For the helmet horns: schorched brown => vomit brown=> bleached bone works Ok for me (or whatever the new colours are called, still have plenty of the old'uns)
Wow man, everytime I check in it seems you've added 5-10 more models. Unless they are the same and I'm a derp. I do admire your work ethics mate! And it always comes out lookin great
@Bebop: I'd really love to put those minis out so fast, but is not in my possibility , The Nobz are the same on this page, thanks for the compliments anyway
@Camkierhi: Thanks a lot! With a bit of practice I'm sure You can get even better checkers than mine
Here for something new.
Gitsplitta organized a little contest on Dakkadakka to bring at the attention of the gaming community His love for the Mantis Warrior Chapter.
I have been watching this blog for a while without saying anything, but as I said I would check out any blogs that are taking part in the mantis challenge, I am using this as an excuse to reduce my lurking.
I like how you give each model a unique character with a name to fit the look (I hope this continues throughout the army). Good effort on the conversions an all. Keep it up.
Not alot I can say about your mantis at the mo, but I will be watching.
Nice pose. Looks like he's just seen something with an "ah ha, over there".
Only suggestion I can think of at the mo is that the bottom end of the banner pole could do with something. Like a brass cap or pommel-alike or a spike... Just something to make it look finished.
Hey! Just checking in - I follow every update, but I don't always have time to comment - so this is a bit of a catchup
Warboss - looking much better now - even id I do say so myself
Agree with lone dirty dog - the flooring for the truck (made with a wooden apple case, string and nails) is a work of genius!
Nice work on the Kan/Deff Dread CC weapons - the pistons, attachment points and cables in particular - very neat work - how did you do the bent cables?
Nobz are all looking good - especially all together! Two comments:
1) I know its too late, but the one holding the Big Choppa one handed by the end probably would have looked better holding it in the middle.
2) To add to CommissarKhaine and lone dirty dog on the tusks - paint in and end colour (depends on whether your are doing dark to tlight or light to dark), then blend up the middle colour by painting lines along the tusks - they should be discernable at the base where the tusk is thickest, and join at the point. Then use the last colour to blend about half way up to the point.
I got inspired watching the Black Banner for my Mantis Warrior Maker competition and decided to go for It.
There's a few touch ups I have to do (mostly line cleaning), but I'm happy enough with the freehand job I did on It
C&C are always welcome and remember that from a tabletop distance is looking better
Yes Git, I took inspiration for the Motto from the IA Badab War volume, where It says that MW stay in the shadows (hidden) 'till the perfect time for the attack and then fast as Mantis get their preys.
For some reason I've not seen your blog before, but I have back tracked through and must you have a very impressive Ork army, with lots of cool conversions.
I will be keeping an eye on your blog from now on though
It's the beginning of the repenting hundred years after the traitorous Badab War.
In a bare world filled with xenos scum Brother Ahoky and his brothers are battling in the name of the Emperor.
They'r like the plants growing in this wastelands, hard to defeat and full of life, they'll survive the fight or die, but the bodies that will fall will bring new life and hope.
"Let's show our foes the meaning of our beliefs, may them die in the name of the Emperor trough our swords"
