I'd also go with "holographical map". Though the ring around the map gives me a necron vibe, especially the joints. Could be some Necron/Imperial tech mix by good old Cawl.
I think we definitely need to start keeping our eyes open for "easter eggs" in new models now...we've got a map of warhammer world in whatever this thing's gonna be...and there's the tiny citadel mouldline remover tool on the workbench in the mek workshop kit...wonder what else they're gonna sneak in
If a new thread is started, can someone link it here before this one is locked? Thanks in advance!
On topic- I think a plastic Dark Apostle is a good shout, although it could be another sign of an impending Chaos Sorceror, to go with the backpack teased awhile ago.
Nightlord1987 wrote: Don't think this one is 40k though. I would love to be wrong though. We still havent seen what that Sorcerer looking backpack belongs to.
Why? It's way more likely to be 40K than not, if it's daemons, it will be for 40K too, if it's the Sorcerer guy, it will be 40K, really, there is no chance for it to be AoS only unless the Darkoath suddenly invented better printing technology than everyone else in the setting which is about the only possibility we have according to current rumors on next AoS only releases...
The last picture shows quite some grooves in the plastic. Unless it's a feature (they might have been going for such a surface) I've only seen such imperfections in GW plastics concerning basing material. Therefore I'm guessing basing material or part of a terrain piece.

Nine times out of ten the preview shown is a 3D printed pre-production model, hence the ridges and lines we see in a lot of previews.
A lot of the models we see painted up as display models for the on-line store and codex books are resin masters, which explains why some models look so horribly bent out of shape or ill fitting, like the Taurox.

Doesn't make too much sense as it already has a model... Blackstone expansion?
Definitely chaos, the amount of rumours that look like it could be them is getting me very excited for some new chaos
And I'm up for running a new thread if you lot trust me I'll make sure to update every week
Dark Apostle is Finecast though. Given GW’s progress in moving over to a purely plastic line, I wouldn’t rule a new one out
Also, lining? Could be a result of it being a rapid prototype.
Yeah, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see quite an expansion in plastic HQ options for CSM. It is about time!
Also, if Death Guard are anything to go by, GW clearly thinks the clampack models are good sellers. They got 8 or something! I wouldn't be surprised if they sell well because they make good stocking-filler type gifts for parents/relatives who don't know much about 40k, but want to get a smallish gift.
Would be my hope and they know how popular the Lizards are. I'd be more inclined to guess at something Malerion/Shadow related or Exodites, neither of which would be a bad thing.
And that's someone who studies reptiles, before anyone reads too much into that. Yes, them and the other word you immediately thought of do share the same etymological roots, but context is important and I'm making my comment related to the totally obviously Lizardmen Blood Bowl team that has to be coming out soon.

Actually a doctor would be fine, too. Ichthyosis is freaky enough that most remember it from med school presentations At least I'll never forget it.
I'd really like a BB Lizzardmen team, I've wanted one more than Chaos or Nurgle or Elf Union. A whole box as awesome as the Carnosaur hero might be too much to hope for, but some almost as buff/tall ones with the same sculpting quality would work really nice with the HellDorade T-Rex guy I bought years ago. I also bought a box of Saurus Warriors and then swiftly decided that they're way derpy to salvage even if you sculpt over anything but feet, hands and heads.
Judging by the brush strokes, it's small. Possibly a hip power supply for.... las weapons? Does the Tempestus Scions use a backpack for their hotshot lasguns?

Yes. But the fitting isn't the same as the aforementioned photo...although that doesn't look too far off from a piece of art that keeps showing up of Cadians in front of a Baneblade with lasguns that have a backpack fitting.

Guard use winged skull so I think it's marine related.
Guard flamer backpacks have skull and crossbones, so not exclusively a Marine marking.
I'll add too new Marines don't carry power supply inside bags ( maybe some scouts but doubtful), so i'll put my money in something like guardsmen either loyalist, heretic or genecult.
Also chance for some BSF model or Rogue trader oriented.

could also be something for the rumored inquisitor expansion for kt

Multipart ratlings? They could always add new rules in vigilus 2 book.
This seems very plausible. The two Ratlings in BSF had a notably different style to the existing Ratlings kit- their armour matched the style of armour used by the Scions kit more closely.
Edit1: the jaw leak ... may be from one of the new squigs coming
while neither fits exactly they'll probably are either part of the kits gw have shown or some other kit in the same range. (the rope could be from a different angle)
terry wrote: smoke could be the angle, but right now I don't see the exact match, the enigne pic has 3 pods, while both in the unit pic seems to have only 2 pods
It’s the angle. You can see the edge of the third pod behind the second pod.
See, this is, imo, the problems sometimes with the rumor engine, who, in a thousand years would have guessed ambulls?
The things we see are soon small it could be anything and who knows what is down the pipeline? I would never have guessed more FEC but here we are.

I saw people at the time guess it. (I think it was on Vince Venturella channel)
I'm not 100% that Sisters will be appearing in the rumour engine. They're a bit unique in that GW has been showing us a chunk of the development stages already.
It still looks very Primaris over Sisters though. The shapes are very similar to weapons they already have. Same kind of cuts and such, so I highly suspect this is Primaris. It isn't gothic enough to be Sisters IMO
Crimson wrote: My guess is the flamer equivalent of the Hellblasters.
You read my mind. Long term I see them releasing sets with all the different heavy/special weapons. Flamers surprise me though. I would think las or grav would be first.
