I need that others that isn't as biased as me looks at this problem i have.
In this picture, the "Deatwatch"-eqivalent should have a bolter, and the Royal(imperial)Guardsmare should have a lasgun .... but i don't know where to place the weapons!
I mean, it is a bad idea to place the firearms too close to their heads .... and even though the best place should be to put it by the "shoulderpad", i have had problems putting it there for aestetical reasons ...
But as i write this, those reasons seems to vanish ... gah! Why is my head wired in such a wierd way?
Trial and error is the way I would do it. Try one way, if you don't like it then try another. The fact that it's 2D is a limitation, but it isn't too bad. Worse case scenario just don't put them on until they're using the weapons.
Generally, it's been accepted that 40K ponies hold their shooty weapons in harnesses on their flanks, I think. Maybe have a little animation where they pull them out for combat, so you can have flank imagery other times?
There really is no other sensible variant than to flank-mount firearms ... The question was more "Where on the flank?"
Anyway, the bolter emplacement seems to be fixed, so perhaps i can add the Hadesgaze (Deathwatch) team as well ....

Ok, so i went into town today, finally together with someone that is employed to help me "get out more".
He's quite kind and so on ... well, we met up, and i intended to check up a place where they sell computers, and we walked quite a long way to get there.
On the way, we passed a toystore, and i though "why not check it out?" ... and we checked it out.
That proved to be a really good idea ... Yes, i am now having two sets of smaller FiM-ponies, and will open those sets as i write this post.
It is the Twilight +2, and the Applejack + 2 ones.
The first i get opened (at random?) is the one with Twilight, Cadance, and Shining.
First impression: Cadance is too "cute", Twi looks a bit more "filly-like", and Shining almost looks normal in comparison.
.... They still look far better than those with synthetic hair, of course
There's a kind of "backdrop" looking like the place of the wedding, but sadly, parts of that is seperate from the backdrop, and not sturdy at all once removed from the package.
... I'll probably throw them along with the packages. Not sure if i will keep the backdrop itself, though.
Compared to my regular miniatures, they roughly equal Horse height.

I'm not amazed, but i like them enough to get the Rainbow Dash-set as well, and at least some other such sets, if they'd be made and i'd come across them.

I know, right? Using gold coins (each probably weighing about 5 ounces or more) as the basic currency? 2 of them for a mug of cider? It's insane! (now, gems I could understand, considering they're common enough for foals to bedazzle things with them).

But as to the economy, I looked, but I can't find the post/chart I saw this once, but it went thru and listed all the prices they've claimed for apples and apple products. But IIRC, it's like Apples are 4 bits, but a fully baked apple pie is only 2 bits, ect. If you go thru the show, the prices are just super arbitrary random numbers it seems.
And for my final thought... Where do they keep their wallet?

The voice actress isn't her, the words are.
She will be voicing something or other, just not a stock "licious" meme, which is good, since that's getting a bit old now anyway.

Well, speaking as a south coast Englishman (the posh part of England according to northerners ), I think whoever it was who did the voice for R did a pretty good job. I did notice a slight change when she said the "Old Horse" line but still, a good attempt.

I recently started yet another year of university, and I've moved in with a girl who I knew was an MLP fan for the last year. Her boyfriend and our other housemate weren't though. At least not until we cracked on the first five episodes for them to watch, now they absolutely love Pinkie Pie.

The MLP magic thing was canned. Hasbro's lawyers had to tell them to stop. Apparently it came with a good description of what you can and can't do though in the legal letter.

It's definitely not a Hasbro website. I'd guess it's about as legal as all the other stuff this fandom produces, custom art, plushies etc. Which is to say "not at all" but Hasbro's willing to turn a blind eye to most things because they don't feel like making massive amounts of cash off us for some reason.

Well, since year's near it's end, I decided to see if I've improved digitally (keep in mind, I've lost my "aversion to the graphic tablet" more or less a year ago), so I picked up a drawing I made around a year ago and redid it.

But then, it is obvious that my vision of "ponyhammer" is different from Sanity - X's anyway .... It is good that i have started calling "my version" Equestriahammer as well, then ...

I pledged, can't go wrong for $10 for a random pony to show up in the mail next february.
I'm hoping they mange to make enough to fund the other pony types, if they do then I might just go for an entire army, since all minis after the first cost $5, and you get a free mini for every 4 that you buy.
The 30mm heroic scale will make them much better for converting than the blindbags, and the detail should be better too.
Impact miniatures have gone all-out with the pony stuff on their kickstarter lately:
I've gone for that $30 pony pack, it should be a lot of fun... I like how you get the base pony/unicorn and then from there add-on bits to make other variants including "nightmare" versions.
They're looking into bat wings for changelings and Cthulu pony too!
I've never done any of the Kickstarter stuffs before, but this intrigues me... Would you mind explaining how it works and/or giving links to right where I might find this pony pack and how I'd order it?
And then from there it's a matter of signing up, pledging the amount you want via credit/debit card and selecting the reward you want.. e.g. I selected $30 and pciked the pony pack.
The card doesn't get charged until after the kickstarter ends, and then you get your stuff delivered once it is produced.. delivery estimate for the ponies is April 2013.
Kickstarter is basically a way for companies to pay for their sculpting/ mould tooling costs in advance by going to their fans for funding instead of having to take out massive bank loans.. in return, the fans get rewarded by getting good discounts and deals.
Squig I think you might be doing it wrong, it says in the KS that the pony pack is an ADD ON. So you'd need to add it to any other pledge.
So the cheapest you could do it is for $40 Which gets you one Type 1 Mini (probably the unicorn like a boss) and then the Pony Pack. For a total of seven ponies. four unicorns, three normals and two sets of wings/hooves/chest pieces to make pegasi or alicorns.
I'd suggest messaging the KS creator, in this case Impact! to confirm.

Well, Discord's return is confirmed, so this should be good. But a continuing storyline across the entire series? This show could not get any more epic!
I never thought of Trixie as a villain. Same with Flim & Flam and Diamond Tiara. I'm pretty sure it's discord. John Lancie(sp?) did hint he did pony stuff beyond the return of harmony.
Trixie/ Flim & Flam/ Diamond Tiara are more rivals than Villains.
The only real Villains we've seen so far have been in the 2 parters, Nightmare Moon, Discord, and the Changeling Queen.
I remember hearing a rumor a while back as well that there was going to be an Episode around Celestia's and Luna's relationship and the events that led to Nightmare Moon. Which woul be awesome if true.
And on the point that they made to point out "season 3 will focus on main pony Twilight Sparkle as she advances in her magical studies", I hope that doesn't mean they are going to more or less shove the other 5 into the background.

I've seen the earlier threads created for this subject. Ahtman has several good points that you should honestly consider. In my opinion this behavior is quite similar to that of furries.

Yeah I'm kinda annoyed by the lack of Celestia laying the smack down. Though my head canon is as a goddess, she already knows what's going to happen and how things will unfold/she's grooming Twilight for something where her leadership and problem resolution (on a mass crisis level) are going to be absolutely critical, so she lets her apprentice, the sentai team that protects the kingdom that her apprentice leads, and the captain of the royal guard and his fiancee (a minor goddess herself) handle the small stuff while she catches up on sleep after a thousand years of working her flank off 24/7

That is actually my headcanon, too .... except the "catching up on sleep"-thing that is a really good added explanation ... so i will perhaps add it to my headcanon, too ....
I like the "40K"-imagery, but i really dislike most of the storyline.
I have no connection what-so-ever to the whole "Solar Empire vs Lunar Rebellion".
Technically, i cannot see Luna, or even Nightmare Moon as Horus.
But.
I seem to have to remind you how messed up Warhammer 40.000 truly is.
The world is warbound, the Emperor wanted to conquer the world in order to make it safe for humanity, there seemed to be no point in meeting alien beings with requests of friendship, it seemed ... gullible.
Diplomacy, sure, but diplomacy is occasionally, especially at war, misused as a way for backstabbing or ensuring status quo.
In a warbound world, of course Celestia and Luna either would also be warbound, or search for another way.
If they did search for another way, they would not go "Hardcore WH40K".
However, now consider if they partially fail, or did not even search for another way?
In order to secure the world, through friendship or battle, Luna is sent out with a group of soldiers ....
Luna, away from her sister, away from her home, facing a wartorn world, with no caring .....
Of course she'd become Nightmare Moon, find closeness in the Soldiers she had with her ... and aquire more soldiers .... and grow in power, and grow more confident in her power ....
... then, when returning home, Celestia would not be powerful enough to even seal her ...
Essentially: if you go close enough to WH40K with the cast of FiM, then Luna do takes the place of Horus.
Personally, i don't like to get that close to the world of WH40K, especially not with the cast in FiM, because their friendship and care would break the binds of war.

Um, that trick would probably not have affected Queen Crysalis the slightest, it is merely a manipulation of light and crystals.
