i was the first person finished on this thread. i assumed that my saying it was done and posting all my wip and final pics to this thread made that kinda clear.

I agree with this, whoever listened to the rules on Page 1 and is entered...lets get to voting and have the contest be between them.

To be fair, if I hadn't been working 8-11 days near the end and if everyone had followed the instructions the first time, the deadline would have passed much more smoothly. Granted, I made some errors but rookies always do.
Best of luck if you do decide to carry on, hopefully the flag can be passed to keep this going for a while.

If a new one starts, then I will not be the organizer. I have fallen away from the hobby for a bit, and I don't know when my schedule will allow a relapse. However, if you are interested in starting a second one why not make an interest thread? get the idea out there before deciding rules and an organizer.

Well, I have added a final arm so the basic build is done. Unfortunately, my lack of primer will slow painting even more. I hope to get him done in the next few weeks, but you never know.

i could organise it and figure out some sort of internet or miniature prize

at UG... now that sounds better...it is hobby after all...so if something keeps you from working on the mini someother day you get to work on it more with vigor^^

How about a theme for the next comp? I thought the "Pimp my wizard" comp was cool. We could do something similar with all of the Finecast stuff out now. Or maybe Duels? Or vehicles?

The pimp my wizard one was indeed pretty awesome. Vehicles could be cool, but I feel like they have a bit less conversion potential (unless you're using orks.) What do you mean about duels? Like little vignettes with two minis fighting?

What I liked about this was that it encouraged me to finish up stuff for my army while being creative with it, so I think it'd be good to stick to themes in keeping with that idea. That's me though.

that was the plan! what i'll probibly do is a more of an =][=munda type of theme that way we can get some really characterful models, although i'll start a thread to come up with topics probibly

i for one like the duel thought... that could be a nice thing indeed...

And on the topic of themes, I think that they can be good as long as they don't exclude large majorities of people or make the comp more difficult than it needs to be.

Again, I will be happy to be a resource for people and a giver of feedback in any of these situations, but I will not be a participant so take my advice as you wish.
