Strange coincidence, looks like you were just in the same building as one of my alts.
Since your last turn:
grayshadow87 said "My goodness.... people are still alive. I'm still alive. I haven't been back here in close to two years. It's good to see that things are still in good hands."
But I need to be revivified... and noone in this group is capable of it.
feth it, I'm getting lab experience before free running. At least that way I'll be able to actually help the group instead of being a constant drain on it.

This is the way im starting to feel too, Jsut DNA tagging zombies isnt enogh for Lvling
Hell, even with the added 20% hit rate on my cop I still miss ~90% of all shots fired due to sheer bad luck (six shotgun shells fired; no hits. 24 pistol shots fired: three hits, which is roughly a 10% hit rate), so even my cop isn't looking to be a good combat class, certainly my scientist isn't (she's only ever hit wiht one (1, singular) attack).
It was thriving when i used to play, seems a bit lamer now but i'm sure we can work something out to make it more fun. I assume the Mall Tour doesn't happen any more? That used to be fun, any of you guys ever take part on either side?
Doctadeth attacked and nearly killed me, although given that there were three zombies there it's understandable. I moved to Carpenters' Lane and changed my revivification request form...
I'm 5 away from Lab Experience, may grab it first, but I'm lacking in needles(cause I'm stupid and didn't search my NT starting building).
Edit: Found something like 6 Zombies to extract from, so gained a ton of experience. Harraway Building NT facility is ruined with 4 zeds outside, 2 in, found a GPS unit inside but no needles. Made my way to Cuthbert and found a FAK, anyone need healing?
On an exciting note: Our group has enough people to be listed in the top groups list! (We're in last, with a total of 20 levels between our 10 characters)
We need to figure out a way to increase our levels faster.... perhaps we can take turns hitting eachother ina hospital, and then using faks on eachother.
My main issue is a lack of weaponry and when i can get a weapon it's a lack of AP, i'm going to look for a CC weapon and try and get some xp next. It's going to be a slow few weeks but it'll be worth it when we have a bad ass group.
I vote for changing the name if we have no sentimental attachment to it. Thoughts?
Morathi doesn't mind taking a few knocks for the team... shes been hurt before. *Looks sternly out across the apocalyptic cityscape, her hair caught in the breeze being blown softly against her cheek*
Whoops, just swung and missed before I realised it was Mel.. however there are three Zombies just below the Club Hudson building, if anyone has ap to burn and wants to try and get some xp.
Im Pretty sure im gonna Get lab experience first, Because its alittle ridiculous we have all these necrotechs running around not able to do the one thing were good for. Where is it you need a revive at Mel? I should have enough to get there Rez you and heal if you need it.
Ok Ill be on around then, Also, Gaks hitting the fan in the hospital, Zombie just broke in and infected me, I don't have the ammo or skill to deal with the situation.
Oh and he gave off a feeding moan or whaever its called so we might be swarmed soon.
DA's Forever wrote:Hopefully its still VSB, Was last time I was there. Admittedly that was a few day ago, But we can hope... Right...?
I just FAK'd myself and am moving towards ST. Lukes. Hopefully I'll have enough AP to meet and heal you later tonight Mel.
EDIT: Ninja'd, Damn, I'm not sure then... Rip down the cades'? Right now the other hospitals not too friendly.
I tried ripping the 'Cades a bit, no luck, but someone may have better. Let me know, otherwise you're welcome to join me in the Museum until we find better.
Its better than nothing, We'll have to wait and make a concentrated effort to retake it. What really sucks is they kill our generator. We need another.
Alright thanks, We need a concentrated effort to take them back and too get tool kits so we can fix them up, OR we'll have to leave the suburb for alittle bit, which works too, Right now though our NT buildings aren't in any state to be used.
DA's Forever wrote:Alright thanks, We need a concentrated effort to take them back and too get tool kits so we can fix them up, OR we'll have to leave the suburb for alittle bit, which works too, Right now though our NT buildings aren't in any state to be used.
That's why I'm going "shopping", gonna try to find some of the stuff we'd need to repair and defend a building.
Straight from the wiki: "Construction is easily the most universally important and applicable. The ability to build barricades is vital for survivors, allowing them to protect themselves and others. It is also necessary to be able to repair a ruined building or damaged generator."
You can create a first level barricade using a length of pipe. Aside from that you need construction, and to repair a ruined building, you needa toolkit.
Ah, I wanted to do a dual nature with the zombie I started, But when I got CR at Caiger Mall I just went to the NT building next door and took a header out to the street.
Yeah I feel bad for it but Caiger was crawling with Zed at the time, Hell Probably still is, But when the Dakka group moved so close to Caiger I had my zombie move on.
I have thirty one HP and ten action points. Tomorrow morning I'll have enough AP to get to the museum you guys are using and then let you heal me for experience points. Assuming you don't have medical training, it'll give you a total of 20 xp for healing me to full health
I moved over to Chudleyton, Cuthbert General had a zed. inside and was low on barricades so I took out the zed, cleaned up some bloodstains, dumped bodies, and barricaded to VSB+2.
Should be OK for a little while if anyone needs to pick up FAKs there.
Got lucky in the junkyard and found a pistol clip and a lead pipe, took a few swipes at a Zombie outside Cuthbert(which is now loosely barricaded) and fell asleep when i got back to Kenefie. I don't have any helpful abilities for you guys but i'll try and help keep the Zeds at bay now i have a CC weapon.
I recommend construction so that we can repair one of the necrotech buildings and get a good supply of needles going. This low level group needs revives and medkits more than anything lol.
As long as we keep a necrotech building up and running, we should be fine. If we have two people with lab experience I'm getting free running next, depends on what the group needs most.
Heh, someone rez'd my Zombie, so I walked into a pack of four like a madman, got a few xp before the got me down. Only bonus was he put a crucifix on while passing through a church.
Morathi's Darkest Sin wrote:Heh, someone rez'd my Zombie, so I walked into a pack of four like a madman, got a few xp before the got me down. Only bonus was he put a crucifix on while passing through a church.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Okay so the story on that NT building up north isn't good, it has been ruined and EHB so that's definitely not worth the effort, I think we'll have better luck clearing out a NT here.
AH! Alright then! I'll chalk this up as a learning experience then!
I'm stuck in the street with no AP hopefully I'll be there soon... Before Zed nom's me. Also we have two of our group members standing on the RP cemetery near us, so if we have needles and AP we should get to work.
Should have that soon, too. Seriously, this place is great for Eeps(went from 60 some odd to 154 since we got here a few days ago). But I tend to wait until I have full AP before doing anything unless people really need me, so I'm generally getting a large amount at one time instead of trickling it in over several plays.
Well that went Pete Tong, jumped to St Cuthburts, got 6 Xp, went to jump back, and apparently the Hospital now counts as a street, so couldn't go straight in the PD.. fled one square north and ran out of AP.. if I am alive will try and find a new safe local.. lot of zombies about though.
Were holed up in lodger museum for now MDS, Its two west of The PD. A few zombies around but a few are our own people waiting for a needle, at the cemetery at least.
Next Skills:
1. Free Running
2. Some sort of combat skill, Probably H2H
3. Construction or Shopping. Whichever we need more when we get there.
If you do get killed just give us your location or go to the cemetery next to the museum and under St. Lukes. I'm doing my best to revive but needles are a tad scarce.
Let's make rebuilding and defending an NT building our next objective.
Do we want to do The Harraway Building (13,25) or The Minshull Building (10,26)? Teh Harraway Building is probably better, as the latter one is VERY close to Dunell Hills.
Also, i'm at 29 hp in the museum if anyone wants some xp for healing me.
I'll try and patch you up some tomorrow when the stupid IP limit resets.
As for NT Buildings I thing the Harraway Building (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/The_Harraway_Building) Will be best, close to our current staging area so we don't have to waste alot of AP getting back and forth, We just need the supplies and the ability to be able to do anything about it.
I'm on 85xp at the mo, will heal Mel for some xp, and once I build up some more Ap will go swing the axe a few more times. With luck I'll have it by tomorrow night.
DA's Forever wrote: Brings a image to mind of a bunch of blood soaked Scientists wielding makeshift weapons defending a soldier with a toolbox
I know right, it's awesome
I'll try to hold harroway, attacking zombies outside of it any chance I get ,and then we can have MDS and DA build it up. But we need a tool kit to repair it from ruined...
I'm also putting off free running, but it'll be a longer while before I get anything. Gonna try to visit St. Lukes' to grab some faks if ti isn't EHB.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Whoever is getting Construction, visit the nearby auto repair shop (1 north, 1 northwest of the museum) for some searching to find a Toolkit. Remember it takes 16% encumbrance.
They really need to implement a way to give other people items so that it feels more like a co-operative game and less like a bunch of selfish morons running around with other people just happening to be there.
Yeah true, Then you could make a supply line, Searcher stays and gets needles, Runner takes em back to base, Maybe 2-3 inoculators can make the rounds of the suburb. Could work on a rotation basis for assignments. Simply being able to share would open so many possibility for the game.
I know, Killing Zed is our favorite pastime, But if we want to have a chance of surviving we need those needles.
Just healed Mel for 5hp, got me to 90xp, got one more kit, if you still need healing I'll do so again in the morning, which means I only need two hits with the axe to get construction.
Morathi's Darkest Sin wrote:Just healed Mel for 5hp, got me to 90xp, got one more kit, if you still need healing I'll do so again in the morning, which means I only need two hits with the axe to get construction.
I'm at thirty five HP. Heal me as much as you need to.

They state Mules as being the reason they haven't, but they also state that alts working too near each other get banned, so I fail to see that as a good reason.

From what I gather the safeguards against Alts aren't all that... how to say... Solid. Or this: http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Zerging Wouldn't be a problem in the game, but it apparently is...
I attacked a total of 24 times this morning, with my cop zombie and my scientist zombie, and ALL 24 times missed. Neither one was in a dark area either.
That's my life in urbandead.
The guy next to Nerita Solanace is the one who killed her.
The Zeds have breached the PD and the Hospital. I missed all but two attacks on the Zed inside the PD so i just closed the doors and loosely barricaded them, it's still inside but it's all i could do. No idea how many are outside or how many are in the hospital but a lot of the people in the PD are giving updates.
I'm hiding in Tennant Auto, with Grakmar. I ran over and got the PD back up to VSB, and hit the zombie inside a few times, but didn't have the AP to take it down.
There's 3 or 4 Zeds outside the PD, I just went on a tagging run. I want to say 2-3 outside and 2 inside Cuthbert.
Edit: Harraway's completely clear for the time being, even though we can't do nothin bout it. Went searching for needles(I recognized at least one other member besides Mel) but no luck thanks to being ruined.
This area is definitely highly infested. We're going to be in for a fight (and for tons of xp ). I currently in Tennant Auto Repair, looking for a toolbox. Once I get one, I'll try to secure a NecroTech for us.
So far, I've scrounged up almost a complete 6-pack, and I've got enough fuel to keep a generator running for weeks. But, no tools.
Just logged back in to the PD and the zombie had takena few hits at me but was interrupted with some king and his pistol skills. The PD is now EHB and Cuthbert is clear and LB according to the chat. Oh and some other legend healed me. Good times!
I only have 8AP, might wait till tomorrow before i try anything. Unless you guys have a suggestion like relocation?
As long as we manage to get the NecroTech building up and start handing out revives and heals, I don't mind.
Automatically Appended Next Post: I moved myself to just outside the harroway building. Please don't attack me!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Why is the Harroway building VHB? We kinda need it VSB so our new characters can get in until we get more people with free running :/
Okay, A summary of what I got accomplished. I gave a needle to both our people at the RP, Im out of them now BTW. I DNA extracted a few Zed, Then I smashed at the cades on the harrowway building hurting them some. We definitely need that building at VSB people.
Where does one find a generator? Just asking, I mean my zombie can't pick it up anyway, but still.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Ah, found.
Factories (2.4%/3.6%) Power Stations (?0%) Mall Hardware Stores(1%/2%) Storehouses (?%)
So go in to one of the factories (10,20 and 15,20, along the northern edge of Chudleyton) and search the hell out of it I suppose? Remember it takes 20% encumbrance to carry one.
Thanks, both of you are friended for me now, I'm beside you. The police station is going to be a bait spot, and the zeds overran Cuthbert. Thinking starting to rebuild it to lightly barricaded.
Ah alright I gotcha, Is there more needing it? I just gave out two at the RP yesterday. Only other person I know needs it is Mel and im not sure if she wants one or not at the moment.
DA's Forever wrote:Who the Feth made Lodger EHB?! Now im stranded and have to find a new safehouse. We need to coordinate more guys

Probably just some random douchebag.
This. You and I were the only ones in there long term, DA, so someone most have stopped by, increased it thinking they were doing us a favor, then left.
Also, our NT building target is EHB currently(or was around noonish Mountain time), not sure if ruined or not.
Melissia wrote:Broke the barrier on the necrotech building down a few levels, it's so close to being VSB now.
Same, i'm inside.
Wasted all of my AP on all 3 characters today though. Who the frak EHBs all of the hospitals in 4 adjoining suburbs?!
My Doctor is so going to die, i ended up abandoning him in a warehouse with a Zombie inside.
I closed the doors behind us... my fate has been sealed.
You smash at the barricade. Part of it collapses.
You have run out of Action Points.
I have no clue what level it's at, but it was at Heavily Barricaded when I last bashed it.

You are standing outside the Harraway Building, a large white-stone building riddled with bullet holes. You recognise it as being owned by NecroTech. The building has been very strongly barricaded.
I love it when someone tries stabbing me in the neck to fend off my rotting judgement and then, in horror, realizes that the revivification syringe is utterly useless.
Search the factories on the northern border of Chudleyton for generators.

I honestly don't think I could be any more lost if I put a bag over my head, hit myself over the skull with a hammer and then tried to play this.
As I've quiet a few constraints on my time I've not been able to really keep up with the post in this thread, still have no idea where anyone is and am basically just wandering about on my own collecting items and killing the occasional zombie.
ATM I am in Morningstar(?) held up in a train station, have 0 AP, and no clue what so ever as to where /which way to now go.
Are the majority of Dakkanaughts still in Quarellsbank (believe that was it) or have you folks moved on?

Do you mean Mornington?
If so, we're due north of you. But, be careful, the zombie population will go up as you get closer to us. Most of us are around Kenefie Lane Police Department in various holdouts.
And, yeah, this thread is rather bogged down with a ton of stuff. I know I'm struggling to keep up.
DA's Forever wrote:Last time I checked the PD wasn't all too friendly, whats the situation at it now Manchu?
I'm in there now. It's lit, extremely heavily barricaded (so no entry from the street), and there's 13 other survivors in here with me, but no one else from Dakka.
Ah yes, it is Mornington where I'm currently hiding , so....once I have a bit more AP I'll start moving North and attempt to link up with the rest of you.
Appreciate the assist guys.
Also, i have a character in each of the two bottom corners if anyone wants to group up their other chars. I have a Zombie in Whittensideish and and Doctor in the bottom left.
ATTENTION! There are two zombies that are not part of this group who are tearing down the NecroTech building's barricades, and it is only loosely barricaded now. We need to slaughter these zombies. I have attacked them a few times, but I'm just a regular unupgraded zombone right now.
I'm low on ammo and need to refill. Plus, I'm traveling this weekend, so I probably will be idle.
I suggest everyone abandon the building for now. We're still too low of a level to be effective killing zombies, especially with all these scientists we have
And, with only 2 of us with construction, we won't be able to keep barricades up.
Let them ruin it. We can move back in once they get tired and rebuild.
In the meantime, take some pot shots, go looting for those useful items, and someone get a generator or two.
Thats where I'll head to first then, Thanks Manchu. I'll stock up on needles and return as soon a possible. Try not to all be zombies by the time I get back, eh?
I have been having terrible luck searching, I'm about half full on ammo and down to 5 ap. Gonna spend tomorrow building up, lemme know what we're up to.
Im a few suburbs over looking for needles so I'll be out of the action, Just whatever trouble you get up to tomorrow watch out for friendly's, we have alot of our own people undead atm
Dang it, don't these folks know to leave at least one building VSB around the station.. trapped outside again, did six damage to the zombie, but trapped outside a school to the left.. hoping its VSB when I get a AP back.
Finally got Lab Experience. I went on a walk through Darvall Heights and found the NT buildings near Caiger mashed up. Will be going on a road trip for needles.
Got my zombie scientist up to 60 xp, gonna try to get her to make her way to the revive point, or to darvall heights. Not sure if the group is abandoning chudleyton for now?
Okay, I'm now waiting in the chudleyton revive point, with about sixty xp. so close to getting lab experience so I can start needling some dual nature zombones
Have arived in West Beckton just outside of Chudleyton but ran out of AP and had to take refuge in the ruins of a church, which I was unable to baricade ..should most likely be dead the next time I log back into the game.
Manchu wrote:Finally got Lab Experience. I went on a walk through Darvall Heights and found the NT buildings near Caiger mashed up. Will be going on a road trip for needles.
Head towards Roywood, the Gilesi Building is VSB and not ruined, Its not lit either but it works.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Okay so the Gilesi Building is lit now thanks to some random fine gentleman. I have 10 Syringes after a days worth of searching, Im going to put another whole days worth in tommorow then leg it back to chudley the day after that.
Not really, were not in a good state to hold any building atm, to many of out memebers are zombies right now. just keep working xp till were ready to get the NT's back in our hands.
Melissia wrote:I have way too many shotgun shells and pistols, and not enough pistol clips or shotguns.
I've exactly one pistol, no ammo...I've been using a crowbar and a pipe to dispatch zombies for the past several days as I've been unable to aquire any magazines( rounds) for my firearm.
I do have a flaregun though and I suppose I could use it as a weapon if need be
They're clips, technically. Speedloaders, as all the facts point to the pistol being a revolver.
As an aside, I hit with two flareguns to kill a zombie, giving me something like fourty xp total or somethin, so she now has free running and is half way to her next skill =D probably pistol training
Melissia wrote:They're clips, technically. Speedloaders, as all the facts point to the pistol being a revolver.

Yes, the mechanics(such as they are) would seem to indicate the pistol is some sort of revolver.
What has genuinely ammused me is that, in the course of my playing, I've loosed a total of 24 rounds and only actually hit four times, so apparently players( or at least myself) start as the worst marksmen on earth.
As far as " up close and personal" I've done much better in that capacity, and perhaps will use my ( slowly increasing) xp to further CC skills.
By sheer coincidence, my zombie is also in Chudleytown, I might have eaten one of you guys at some point since I've been hanging around ever since Caiger got ruined.
I also like to run around EHB'ing entry points whenever I get combat revived against my will (which happens a lot because it takes less AP to combat revive a zed than it does to shoot one). Often there's only one or 2 entry points in the entire half of the suburb due to paranoid survivors overcading everything, so it's an easy way to grief.
Melissia wrote:I shot 24 shots and hit only twice, and that's as a cop apparently.
I justify it as her hitting, but not actualyl doing any damage to the zombie.
Yeah, I suppose that makes sense, rounds striking non-vitals, etc.
My character is also a cop, which when starting out I assumed would make me a reasonably decent shot, howeverr it appears that's not the case and skills must be attained as the game progresses.

Indeed, whenever I stand up this time tomorrow I'll be rezzing two zombies immediately, then heading to the nearest VSB necrotech facility.
My scientist is human now, waiting for the AP to stand up after being revivified in the revive point (cemetery one south of St Luke's Hospital in Chudleyton).
My cop is also human, currently hiding in an EHB police station collecting guns and ammo before she goes out to take out some zombones. But since she's not part of the redacted (she is Dual Nature), and it is against the rules for her to cooperate with the group anyway, there's no need for me to post her location.

Mel your best bet will probobly be the Gelisi Building in Roywood, Or something like that, It was VSB and lit up when I left today, It not a far trip either.
Its ten AP including going inside. Your best route will be as follows: Stand up and go to st lukes, Cross diagonal going NW until you hit a building called Esgar Auto Repair, Then head plain West and you'll hit the Gilesi Building in two blocks
Okay, so I have thirteen xp... ten to stand up, then seven more... I'll be able to make it there in the morning. It looks like all the zombies are revivified in the area I'm in, so I'm just gonna make a needle run.
I think Casey was 1 west of you other than that I dont remeber much about it. After I jabbed you I was in the Red zone on AP and was rushing to hide somewhere.
I've moved my dead ASR into the cemetery under Lukes. A revive would be lovely if anyone is available. Thanks!
Edit: Sorry, if this character remains useless for much longer i'll exile him to another corner of Malton and send you my doctor. He has 32 first aid kits so i should be able to get freerunning quickly if i run into enough survivors.

If you don't want to wait, give me enough time to gather ~40 or so action points and I'll send my char down there to revivify.
