Also be sure to look up what group they're in . If they're in a zombie group even with a human name, don't stick them. If they're dual nature, stick them always.

I'm back, and it looks like my hiding spot was sufficient to survive the weekend! I'm hanging out in Kenefie Lane PD, restocking ammo in case the zeds break in again.
I'm also able to repair buildings, barricade, and I've got fuel, so if I'm needed somewhere, please let me know.
Also, my zombie alt joined up with the RRF. He got 5 kills last night! Woot!
If you want to tear some cades down, the area around Kenefie is apparently over-caded. Although we could stand to have some discussion here about why we need three VSB buildings in a row.
I'm AP'd for the day. It'd be a real shame to loose that genny.

I'll go combat revive some zombones when I get out of class.
Because it's expensive and the group needed someone to revive at the trime At any rate, I have enough needles that if I revive zombies with every one of them I'll have 109 xp. That combined iwth some brainscanning and light combat will let me get free running next.
Hell, even if I hadn't bought lab use, I'd still not be able to have free running yet. It's frakking expensive.

NB: the attack team should also take responsibility for maintaining the cades of the building from which they're striking. Support obviously needs to prioritize cading the hospital and entry points.
Supporters will be spending a lot of XP on walking (to and from NT buildings, revive points) by default whereas attackers will sometimes be able to pop right out into a horde and start gunning. As such, attackers should feel free to assume support functions at a lower priority. Remember, attackers: Zeds Before Beds.
Once you have chosen a team, level your character accordingly. We don't need every single person to have lab experience. It's better if those of us who only have to pay 75XP for it get it while those of you who only have to pay 75XP for weapon skills get those.
There's a lot of talk here about loading up on FAKs. That's great but please don't edge into supporter territory if you're an attacker. Please remember that wounds are a resource. Supporters have a priority claim on the AP/XP relationship involved with healing just like attackers have a priority claim on the AP/XP relationship involved with killing zeds. If you're healing instead of attacking, you're taking XP away from your team mates on the support side. If you can't find any zeds to kill and your strike base is caded to EHB/VSB as applicable then by all means use the rest of your AP to heal yourself and others. But killing zeds and cading your strike base is your first priority.
I'm totally down for being an attacker. I have a couple of FAKs, but I'll only use them as a last resort.
I'm also asleep outside of the Reid Library, because some dick bumped it to EHB, in clear violation of the local cading code. Don't trust the map, I says to myself.
I killed one of the zombies in Harraway, but it's going to be tough to clear them all out, and there's some high levels in there, so killing them really only takes away 1 AP.
And, Monster Rain, always make sure you know where an entry point is before you exit.

I saw a zombie, looked at the map and said "Hey! There should be a VSB right there!". So I hop out, wale on the zed and move to the Library and it was sealed up tighter than a frog's ass, as it were.
Right i'm searching for some weapons in the PD, combat wise i'm useless for now because i started as a scout. Got around 25XP.
If someone desperately needs FAKed, and there is nobody else available, i picked 5 up before the squads were nailed down and could use the XP. I'm in Kenefie but i can freerun to pretty much anywhere.
I'll put the hurt on Zeds where i can but i'm only doing 0.3dpap on average.

Yeah, I'd say do what you feel is needed. The Teams are as much about leveling as anything else so it's not really applicable to your character.

Harraway itself looks safe at the moment, but it's only lightly barricaded, so it could get dangerous quick. But, there's been plenty of groaning coming from Rodwell Row Police Department (12,27), so that may draw the zombies away.

From the main city screen, select "Settings".
That will let you modify things like your appearance, the clothes you're wearing, what notices you want, and what group you are.
(Clothing has almost no gameplay effect. The only thing that it effects is if you're a zombie, you can't bite anyone if you are wearing any type of mask.)
Okay, whenever I get ~27 AP (5 for the round trip, 10 for each revive, 1 for each scan) I'll go scan and revive you two. I currentl have 24, so it'll be a couple hours.

You'd be better off at a barricaded building. But if its out of the way. No zombies around you should be okay as long as you com back to it relativity soon
One thing's for sure: I'm pretty happy that I have a specific role for my character now. Being able to focus my skill points on combat oriented abilities is making me much more efficient and beating down zeds.
I'm currently in the process of brainstorming some good fluff for my character, though. I don't feel like I'm getting into the RP aspect of the game as much as maybe I should be.

I've played the game a few times now and i've always had trouble integrating with the roleplay side of things. I think that because AP is so valuable, RP gets put to one side so you can play the game efficiently. It's a shame but it just seems to be the way of it.
Found room with Generator and note that says "mobile phone tower keep fueled." happened to have fuel on me. Put fuel in it. Don't even know if that means it's working or not but if so hopefully that helps people or something.

Took firearms as I didn't realise it raised the hit by 25% so now hitting a fair bit with pistols and shotguns, just need to track down more ammo. Already back up to 25xp.

Pure gold This is the moments I live for. I Had someone after I first entered a building start hysterically screaming that i was a zombie shoot me six times say he was out of ammo then he left the bulding
Revivified a zombone and am now at 133/150 xp for free running . I might need to make another trip for needles though, I apprently miscalculated the amount of xp I'd gain from scanning and needling.

Thats a pretty good start, i was saving up for a combat skill but i could purchase something more supportive instead now. What would be most useful? I've got enough XP to buy any science or civilian skill now.

What do you think about moving our operation to The Selway Building? It's not far away from where we are now and it's very near a PD and Hospital. It's further south too so there should be more Zeds.
I think the Samborne Walk Police Station is a pretty good base of operations for now. I know it's a bit crowded, but I'd like to have a bit more skill acquired before we strike out on our own.
Also, for our people in Chudleyton, there's 6 zombies at the Vetch Building.

I continue holding up in the Bowell Museum, gained some xp ( but still not enough for any skill) by whacking a lone zombie in the head for a while, then fell asleep.
...Not really sure that I'm understanding the mechanics of this game.
One of the skills is called "Free Running".
It lets you travel from the inside of a building to the inside a neighboring building, without going to street level. So, you just need to find an entry point from the street, and then you can go from building to building on the inside of those extremely heavily barricades.
Most of us have it already, but there's a few without. I strongly suggest getting it, as it makes moving around MUCH easier, and lets you sleep in much safer locations.
There is a skill that you can buy called Free Running that allows you to access more heavily barricaded buildings once you enter less heavily barricaded ones.
No one can enter a building barricaded higher than "Very Strongly Barricaded" (VSB) from the street. In order access such a building (call it Y), you must already be inside of a building (call it X) where X and Y are connected by some path of buildings (call them 1, 2, and 3) that are adjacent as to each other.
X --> 1 --> 2 --> 3 --> Y
Let's say that X and 1 are both VSB but 2 is higher than that. Without Free Running you could enter either X or 1 from the street but you could not enter 1 from X (or vice versa) and you could not enter 2 at all. With Free Running, you still cannot enter 2 from the street but you can enter 1 from X (or vice versa) or 2 from 1 (or vice versa).
Simply put, the only way to get into a building that is higher than VSB is to use Free Running to enter from another building that you are already in.

1 is in Greentown. Some zombie activity, but not too bad; and you're just west of Kempsterbank)
1 is in Ridleybank... that's considered the zombie homeland. There's no more dangerous location in Malton. If you're here, run fast, or prepare to spend some time as a zombie.

Greentown. There's actually like over a dozen people there with xmas lights and a rock show. It'll actually be pretty hard to sleep there.
Morathi now has 55% chance to hit with Pistols, 30% with shotguns, which will rise to 55% next time I find a zombie as I'm earning lots of xp now I'm hitting so much.
After that will raise cc, so have the axe to fall back to, and then go back to polishing off the firearms.
I'm noticing a fair amount of ruination in Chudleyton.
Attackers: Please kill and remove zombies from ruined buildings. Ruins cannot be reparied until the zeds are out.
Supporters: Please repair and re-cade. Priority as follows
(1) repair ruined resource buildings (e.g., hospitals) (2) barricade ruined resource buildings up to EHB or as per the cade plan (3) repair ruined non-resource buildings (e.g., pubs and schools) (4) cade to at least VSB but repairing ruins is more important than getting every non-resource building up to EHB
Automatically Appended Next Post: ATTENTION: If anyone is currently a zombie, please shuffle over to Lasbury Cinema and break the cades down to VSB. This ruined-but-EHB structure is an example of a "piƱata."
OP is cluttered enough. Are attackers not hunting for the undead through the streets anyhow? Take a peep into ruined buildings along the way. If I come across one while trying to repair a place, I'll post it here. Keep your eyes peeled.
Thats what I've been doing with Morathi, dropped three so far the past few days. Didn't think about building repairs mind, and me with my construction.. will start doing that as well from tonight.
Are any of "our" people zombies ATM?...I was planning om leaving my little hiding spot and going out "hunting", but didn't want to bash any " friends" by mistake.
I've been going to Calgar Mall to kill zeds, as they're easy to find. But, I'll start looking for buildings we can actually reclaim. If you spot something, please let us know.

And even if we weren't, you can still recognize your contacts even while Zeds.
There's been quite a few zombones in Eastonwood recently, for my dual nature cop-- lots of barricades to build back up and lots of targets to shoot. Got her construction and advanced pistol training so she could make the most of it. Perhaps the zombones moved east?
Ok...I clearly don't understand the mechanics to this game...I exited my "safe house" @ Bowel Museum...went zombie hunting to boost up my XP and when I returned to my safe house could not enter it due to being very heavily barricaded...????.... so...I'm currently taking a nap out in the middle of the street.
It may have been taken to VHB before you left if you clicked an adjacent square to leave. The other possibility is that some a-hole barricaded it up at the wrong time...
Always check that a building is VSB if you are planning to return. And buy free running as soon as possible. Also, come to us quickly, even as a Zed. We can protect you, heal you and revive you until you get on your feet.
Once you've learned to watch for a couple of things the game becomes second nature, you'll be fine, stick at it!

You can leave a building that is at any barricade level, you just can't enter it.
In order to enter a building it must be Very Strongly Barricaded (VSB).
