All looking great, looking forward to your basing efforts, but yeah really want to see that tank hunter develop.

Next phase to the basing for a battle affected and scorched/bleached land is the base dark gray, any gray seems to work well, so a dark stone, or other gray laid down first helps.
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
after touching up the base coat of dark, I then use a light gray like Reaper's "Weathered stone" or other light gray dry-brushed on the dark.

Once dry, some PVA glue and a dip in the green grass material I still have left, maybe some alien moss?

Brilliant work Shas, and thanks for the step by step on the basing. Always good to see how people do things. Hope there are many who will gain from this. Basing is so overlooked. Really nice work shas! I like how you've worked the tufts and flock together, don't forget you tend to find all sorts of plants growing together depending on the environment with bushy grasses providing some elemental protection.
As cam says its not many people that put that much effort into basing, and I've noticed fewer still use flock these days, sadly.
I like how the metallic greens are contrasting with the reds of the clothing(?)

As for the TD, it's whatever makes you happy. Since I figured you started it as a Human vee, why not finish it as such? Of course, the Orks WILL steal anything and make it ROIGHT PROPPA. And I haven't seen a lot of your Ork stuff in this thread. So it would be a change.

The D-10, why did I order this? because in the past, I enj9oyed playing FASA's Star trek: Combat simulator, and this ship could take and dish out a decent pounding in combat! I would hammer Federation and other opponents using this as my command cruiser with a squadron of D-7's and DDs and use it as central fire support with powerful disruptors and photon torpedoes as those were the weapons for that game.

He actually is mixing elements and shapes from several Star Trek series and genres. That D-16 Destroyer for example is a game ship from an old game by FASA mixed with some of the design pieces from the Klingon ships from the Kelvin Timeline+TMP style.
Here, this D-4 for example is a mix of Enterprise(engines and bridge section on a Next- Gen/DS9 style hull/wing

[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
I have seen a old school Star Fleet Battles style transport with pods under-slung from the war ship style hull.
So takes and matches/mixes stuff, but has some ships designed as they should be from ST: TMP(K' tinga models), TOS D-6 is TOS style, but he has also some Axanar style D-6's and he will modernize older designs as seen with mixing the parts for the D-24 shown above. I do like what he has done and have a fleet. Enjoy the latest images.I have some more to load in!

Okay so not so new a topic, but I have rested and have done some work on some new ships, and for my Birthday new troops I feel fit a force for ground troops since i use the Garmillas ships in the RP/story I work with others on, I feel the aliens I run (a mix of Cardassians and Garmillas) that the best troops are from the Infinity Yu Jing. models.
Klingon vessel one is a cruiser with swept forwards wings
[/img]
FASA made a design years ago named the "Grim Reaper" well this is a Next Gen like version
[/img]
These 4
{/img]
Plus this gal

will make a full 5 person fire team of the UruKhar Imperial Shock force, Powered armor with personal shields and phaser style weaponry
Supported by these 2 heavy troopers with their heavy weapons ready to deliver crushing blows to their foes.
[/img]
Dual form high mobility and combat suit

And the heavy tactical assault gear armored suit that acts as a light tank for the squadies

Well, I had to keep cake at minimum (damned diabeetus), but all 10 Power armored minis are assembled and curing, will provide pics of bare metal to help document their progress
5 person patrol fire team
[/img]
[/img]
They all pack a Phaser pistol, and others have other weapons that alternate between Plasma, Polaron and Tetryon weapons
This heavy weaponeer is packing a holstered phaser pistol, and a 3-barrel gatling phaser cannon over his or her shoulder
[/img]
[/img]
Twin photon-grenade launchers
[/img]
[/img]
dual form powered armor with a Polaron rifle with flamer attached, Humanoid form using Vibro blade flat piec on back is a stealth field.
[/img]

And now the Heavy Armor Repulse Mech suit, aka H.A.R.M. Suit. Powred sword+Heavy Phaser cannon with attached Polaron pistol.

Well, the concept for me is that they are humanoids, but not humans. Bald guy will have a special skin tone and painted on details..
Meanwhile I got Agent G on the job and they do stand a head or so above them. Consider the males to be between 6ft 3in for short to 7ft for max, females are same more along 7ft as reptilian DNA makes females the larger of the sexes in reptilian species. Now to let the images speak.
no flash
[/img]
With flash. Even with him out front of the line, Agent G has their heads showing above his!
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
With both the Heavy Weaponeers in their nearly Terminator like suits

[/img]
with the dual form suits
[/img]

with the H.A.R.M. suit, he is at it's knee. Even out front, bases touching it towers over Agent G

No worries, Here is a squad of "Swift Viper" class powered armor, a potent five person team well armed. The UruKhar Empire only fields the best. The power pack doers have a low sighting magenta glow, so as not to give positions away.

"Striking Mamba" Heavy armor with dual missile launchers(Photon warheads)

[/img]
[/img]
"Striking Black Mamba" Gatling phaser cannon

The Mamba class suits are heavy builds for using and firing heavy weapons of a scale that makes them good support suits, and they can handle themselves if charged.

Although these two heavy suits are both employed by the UruKhar Empire(DiY), they each encompass different design philosophies for the battlefield. The AN-C1 "Anaconda" is built for survivability under the heaviest of fire with layers of composites, mono-molecular aligned matrix armor, and other classified durable materials, covered by strong defense shields, moving silently for it's size, and made to handle power loads almost like a construction machine, the AN-C1 can deliver powerful hammer blows if it is left with just punches and kicks but as seen carries a large power blade, and heavy phaser cannon with the ability to change particles from Nadion to Tetryon or better.
The lighter and faster MA-M8 "Mamba" is capable of swift strikes punching and kicking, as well as sword strikes with it's "Lightning" blade. It carries a Polaron/Phaser canno9n, and is similar in armor and shields to the "Anaconda" just less weight for swifter speeds, and each can be a lethal combo, complimenting each traits together in combat. Power supplies and servos are classified as well, making these large suits as sneaky as their smaller powered armor brethren that they support during heavy combat missions.
for logistical reasons they stand similar in height, but as can be seen the AN-C1 is bulkier and thickly built, while the MA-M8 is slimmer and looks like it is running while standing still.
[/img]
As can be seen here, they each have different approaches even to their power plants design, but again that is classified
[/img]
again the entirety of differences in the design of each shows the philosophical divergence, heavy duty or rap[ id strike

Hi all, I know, another distraction for the 'ole Shas'O, but was feeling Nostalgic for the old days of SW and when I saw these kits that theoretically can scale along with the mecha collection fighters of My Garmillas fleet, I had to get the kits , as seen in these pics, I am working on the Advanced T.I.E. and the regular Imperial T.I.E. fighters that came as a one box set! and it does have this odd display stand ability.
[/img]
[/img]

[/img]
[/img]
As can be seen, these little guys are packed with details by Bandai. Hats off to them for so much good work on so small a scale. they seem 1/100 or maybe 1/144 scale. I hope to do them some justice as I paint them up. Automatically Appended Next Post: Sitting next to the T.I.E. was this little guy, so yeah got the X-Wing as well. Now am set, and ready to prime and paint it as well, and it has decals that are likely easier to put on and less confusing, the Tie's had decals that I can replace with paint, I may add some colored markings on them. Anyway, here is my Income T-65 X-wing

So, the Mowang I pre-ordered finally arrived (Mail delayed a day past expected delivery date of the 3rd), based on what I can see of him compared to other suits, the pilot has their hands in the fore-arms and control manipulators that are large hand shaped devices, and their feet are in the the calves, but the feet of the suit are not the pilot's but similar to the manipulators.
Meet the Devil King Or D3-V1L K-1-N6 Heavy powered armor
[/img]
[/img]
As you can see, it has four arms to make initially 2 models, but with some changes I can go past the HMG/Flamer and hand cannon, Handcannon+Red-Fury and I can do one as dual heavy weapons, and the Sgt with dual handcannons

Hi guys! I am back with the assembled and inked Shasvastii. They were quite fiddly to assemble, but the inking is a base that highlights the details for me, before I go and prime them with pure black primer.
Nox troopers

[/img]
Mentor
[/img]
[/img]
Shrouded

Caliban

Heavy sniper
[/img]

Rapid air responder

Okay so Ink on metal as we all know is no primer coat, and well, I primered the troops
Gamma unit

Delta unit, air drop units always have those poses of just touching down or maybe taking off? Possible use of terrain to bounce around?

[/img]
Gangbuster

Sniper

Troops

And now for their counter parts, the In filtration unit of the Buggos
Gwailos

Caliban

Shrouded

Mentor

Alright, maybe this will bring more questions, I did do the red plus over brush of orange on the armor, dark is adamantium black, and the carapace is a weathered bone+Muddy olive blend, did a deep red for eyes and mouth with yellow for the pupils. I will do a a wash on the carapace of the buggos to get into crevices, and a dry over in spots of the bone then maybe add some spots in a dark color for added fun. Let me know what you all think so far.
Agent G posing with the Nox Troopers
[/img]

here he is again with the Shrouded

and again with the Mentor

and after that he posed with the most deadly Caliban
[/img]

after avoiding being eaten, Agent G posed with the Gwailos powered armor trooper.

After that he slipped on a ship outbound and took off. He decided it was best not to be the guest of honor(dinner)

So, had to track these guys down, but they arrived, and I got to start them after some truly fiddly issues with parts of them. Uberfallcommandos or as for my narrative the delegation of animal based alien humanoids.

Nox troops

Mentor, I am going to change his breaher mask colors.
[/img]
Stalker, much to still do on this one.

Calban, I made his skull helm different than the art on the book and box.

Gwailos Heavy suit.

Still so much to do! small reinforcement group is on it's way for them.

Okay, I did break down and order some reinforcements for my Shasvastii aka Veemari buggo forces. The blister packs arrived, and they look a bit complicated.
Cadmus, looks simple enough for the line eh?

Mentor with Machine gun standing over a corpse
[/img]

Not as many parts as I thought he would have.
Now we get to the Speculo killer, the truly complicated model of the lot
[/img]
[/img]
All those complex arrangements of parts!
And finally for my UruKhar Empire troops, a Hulang agent which will be classified as a Boomslang (Snake theme going on here)
[/img]
[/img]
Just clean up parts and assemble!
I will do a picture spread of assembly especially for the bug-girl.

Legs assembled

with torso and head added

Cadnus was easier as his back-pack and arms were a single piece and his head and body were another
[/img]
Assembled and with a human figure of Agent G for some idea how tall the bugs get
[/img]
I will have a image of the Mentor, he was also like the Cadmus a 2 piece assembly.

Yeah, the new blisters were fairly easy to come by via miniatures market, you may have a more local store carrying the Infinity stuff!

Holed up in my lair, I received some new troops, but am working on getting details for others finished, but I will share with you all, the new units that arrived, I did order another, but considering the situation of Spain, I am thinking it will be delayed for some time, and that may mean the easier breathing of possible opponents. Here is what I ordered that is delayed. Female is in the image to give a grasp of the size of the Bio-Mechanoid beasty on order from Corvus Belli
As for the units I mentioned that arrived and await assembly and painting? Why, these two air-borne ladies of alien origins

On another note, I did dry brush the Adamantium black with shadowed steel, a dark metal in it's own right to make the armor look more full of depth. First up are the three Buggos I needed to do that to.
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
I am thinking of making the coats and such a dark brown base.
Now I have also the Bio-mechanoids of the Unidron squad.
[/img]
[/img]
Now that the main armor color is done, I can dry brush the outer flesh of the red muscle zones showing. Shooting them in those areas however is like hitting steel reinforced Ballistic Rubber.
And now the armor of the Anathematic, a major big fighting unit, is also dry-brushed as the others. Definitely makes his/her armor look odd doesn't it?

These biomechanoids so hard to tell where the tech and and the fleshy bits actually begin eh?

Yeah, we had a lot of water cooled vickers machineguns and not much else, hence the very large, very phallic armoured covers.
There was one test vehicle that mounted twin 25 pounders side by side in the turret. The idea being that you don't need a 17 pounder to recoil test a 17 pounder being fired in your tank.

Okay, I ordered this as a kick starter pledge back in early March, it has come though some weird gak due to the world being hit by the Pandemic, but in freezing temps of the bitter kind, it landed on my front porch! at long last, after months of waiting, I have the Megalodron! the shape of the box threw me off, until I looked inside and found it like this
[/img]
Easily assembled and disassembled for now for cleaning and painting purposes.
The base and legs and lower torso Main lkegs and smaller pedipalp fighting legs
[/img]
Assembled, (not permanently
[/img]
.
Left side, Plasma cannon and heavy blade
[/img]
Back of it, Power plant for systems and shields and other bits

Right side with open claw

Jungle base includes a defeated ORCA T.A.G. suit remote fighter.

close up of the Plasma cannon
[/img]
Upper head/neck/back
[/img]
Face at different angles
[/img]
[/img]
the slot for the lower end to join with, so now you see why permanent assembly may not be needed.
[/img]
Overall a very chonky beast, and one that seems slightly de-greased, but the base indicates a warm-soapy wash is needed, and then filing down spots as seen, then I should be able to ink it and then primer it. And it is kind of a tank for the C.A.

The Meng "world war toon" tanks are great fun . I've built a few and they are an absolute breeze to put together. You will really enjoy building them .
So far, I have assembled/converted 12 King Tigers (ten Leman Russ variants, 1 Hydra and 1 Chimera), 4 Tiger 1s (4 Taurox) and a Churchill (Hellhound)... I have another 9 King Tigers, waiting to be converted into Chimeras .
My one piece of advice for these kits is to wash them thoroughly in a decent detergent because the sprues tend to be very greasy when you take them out of the packaging and they won't hold paint without a good wash .

Somewhere in my pile of plastic and resin, I have a BA-64B in 1/48 scale, which was supposed to be for the Imperial Guard Gun Truck I did awhile back. 1/48 was too small (I used a Tamiya 1/35 scale kit for the basis) but I got some Grots to one day make a Keystone Grots Kar piece. I'll be interested to see how your project advances- maybe inspire me to get back to starting on mine!
