and well... don´t look to me for any guidance on listmaking^^
That would be if the actually ate it, over just chewing it to smithereens. They make great squiggoths. They will even eat my own orks.
Vik the only thing i trust you with is picking a good brew!

haha yeah, good old school work, finish up last two lootas for the batch, they will be posted shortly.
how do you want to make your rivets? i definatly recommend a holepunch here... thus you save up on time aplenty!!! for starting with rivets this is one of the easiest ways of getting into business...
those lootas (?) look very good... i specially like the woad/warpaint on them... that has a nice touch... very apocalypse now style...!
as for the tanks build atm... is the hatch already glued to the turret/hull? looks not inline with the rest... but you only started... so much changes still going to happen there!
and if i had a sudden rain of money heading my way... a grot army would be a very definite option... so be sure of my utmost envy regarding the assembled lil fethers there^^

needs individual shots tho
why thank you Vik! but honestly i dont want to take 33 individual shots for some grots haha. As for the tank, i will most likely never end up finished, i am just too unhappy about its un even construction. Going to look into methods for cutting more perfect edging.
Thanks about the lootas! yeah the warpaint i love to do on my orks, only occasionally so it isnt washed out.
You know your ork tech quite well.
Yeah their is a viable grot army kind of if you piece some units together.
it would consist of
Hq can make a custom grot something. The options are there! haha i am just not going to follow it.
Grot Tanks - elite
Grots - Troop
Killa Kanz or Big Gunz - Heavy support
you do know that you don´t cut PC all the way though? just score and then bend and snap it? afterwards sanding will solve any issues you have to face...
don´t get frustrated... having built your own scratchbuilt one day... this is a huge shot for your self esteem... beleieve me... it is almost therapeutical...
40kFSU wrote:Love the lootas panda. I can't believe you are still putting things like "school", "success", and "real life" get in the way of your painting.
Ahh you know me FSU painting is is always second. Naw after the 9th of may, its gunna be painting time all the time! thank you for the complement.

I have scratch much terrain and armor and things, but not tanks and complicated things. Where i must have them perfect! haha not a bad idea about the scoring, i will try it after i paint me a good 50 models and my brushes are nothing but hairless stumps.
learned the scoring business wuth PC the hard way too...my first try was a landraider ... and i tried to cut every lil bit through and through... sometimes inbetween my fingers had been so sore that i couldn´t lift a spoon...

Now that is German determination. Did i mention i am German?
SelvaggioSaky wrote:They seem too big and out of place, probably You cover with the white something other then the eye....
Still a good job and this is really a nitpicking thing!
Oh i see what your saying now. There is actually logical reason to this. For some reason the loota sculpts have even smaller eyes than normal. I cheated the effect on a couple of them to make it cartoony. I could fix it, but i am to lazy too. Thanks for the catch/notice.
*warning* :This may be a wall of text; not sure as i can't see into the future:
Alright! PANDA- is back.. just to recap the recent activity in panda's life.
I was in the Wireless Sensor Network lab from 5pm, to 7am then from 2 pm - 8pm. Never Again is all i have to say. Never again. The good news is, the grader was impressed with our teams work. Looks like A's are soon to follow! very happy about that.
Classes are wrapping up, just got a paper to write, a paper to edit, and then we are off to finals! which means.. well you know.. lots of free time! so excited for that.
In-terms of blog work! we should get some photos right?! WHO WANTS ANOTHER FIVE LOOTAS? I do.. they are 60% painted at the moment. I will finish them while you guys read this/charging camera battery.
Also i write fluff for this army. You may go "wut, WHAT? whhhhaa, what, wat or just '?' " Here is the link to that.
If you have time read, i been told on more then one occasion i write/tell good stories. However, i suffer from "wtf is grammar disorder." Its just who i am, i do my best to write well, except
when i am posting to my dakka blog. That is just kinda chucked out there. Don't be shy to point out my grammar. It wont hurt my feelings in the slightest. I am mostly looking for motivation
to write more.
Nafarious wrote: Can't wait to see you do some more work on your Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggghhhhhhhh.
It's been a great inspiration for my very own orks. I can only hope you do some killa kanz (I have 3 unpainted and I'm not sure what to do with them.
I am afraid Nafarious i did the whole kan and dread thing. That was my previous army. I had 15 Kanz and 5 dreads and couple megaz, and a stompa. Anyways - to iterate into something useful.
Fun things that you can do with kanz that are cool:
Paint each limb a different color - always have power rangers or other show kanz
Theme - use your primary color as a secondary color
Do stripes, symbols and other odd ends on the kanz
Basically exercise freedom with your paint scheme.
My kanz were painted like factory metal with some stripes and stuff here/there
People liked them.
------Gender questionable -------
Pokadots
Bikini paint job - local did this - could not take his kanz seriously; awarded for most laughs in a game.
Paint makeup on them - add to the above.
Really like this last batch of orkz , especially the blue&red faces
Thanks Saky! the red and blue was my favorite to add.

But hold up, am I going to have to go trawl back through the thread? I seem to have missed this awesome little fella!
Oh? May of them have glowly visors. Glad you like him. Because he is da killy one.
This update is a wall of interesting text, with middle-of-the-road grammar. Hit play, and enjoy the music to your daily DAKKADAKKA browse.
:THE FUTURE OF THIS THREAD IN EMOTE ICONS:
This message is brought to you by PANDA INCORPORATED. All Waaghhs please proceed to the left. All Greater goods, to the right. For the Emperor, straight ahead. For everyone else... its krumping time.
Schools out. You know what means? Pandas free time is 700% larger, and with more cow bell. Thats right somewhere in that last sentence I said I was "going to paint more models." Wait.. No I didn't.. what the hell. Shucks! Hey guys I am going to paint more models. Haha, I know I been saying it, but its summer, schools out, not forever . So what exactly can we expect from me? Mad-hatter laughter of course. . There that is done.
So Panda's near future list...
Buying a proper work station for my waghh - sorry air brush you just going to have to wait. I got models to paint.
What does a proper work station ask for? Hell.... I don't know... I always worked in front my tiny keyboard.
What does Panda think it will entail? We will start with the basics:
Tear down Panda's current work station. Build new one. Working on the inbetween steps, I swear. Pics or it didn't happen?
Haha ok you win, I will do a before and after pictorial deal.
Lets see check list for world domination.
Rebuild work station - not there yet
Buy lots of Ork models - check
Buy lots of paint - check
Buy a light box - Whats a light box boss? The Mek is confused.
Buy a tripod - haha three legs.. get it? Me either..
Paint Ork models - getting there
Conquer the world - eh its on the list.
After world domination, give everyone free minis - Look above..
Awesome looking orks! The bases especially pop. What's the brand of the green tufts? And what color? I like them, and may try n purchase something similar. I'm looking for good jungle style basing materials

i am glad you like it, it isn't tufts, but torn up grass mat. Here is the link - Grass Matt 8mm
Viktor von Domm wrote:voted!... and seeing as your school life gone into pause mode... now you have so much time at your hands that can be used up for drilling barrels
You mean to rivet my barrels. I got my drill primed. The deed will be...drilled?
DiDDe wrote: Now we're talking! that looks great!
i wish i had enough space to do something like that too..
Do it! haha now I am indispensably blessed to live in the place I do. Not to mention the better half doesn't want her own room, I kinda received a man cave. Even if I do have to share it occasionally.
DiDDe wrote:Haha mancaves FTW! i got one too. the only thing my gf wants with the room is to store some of her stuff in. or borrow my computer drom time to time.

Man caves are silly like that.
Oh thank you for voting, really appreciate it.
Hey Panda's on summer, why is he not updating? Well honestly... secrete projects and vacations.
I just got back from Washington. Heading to California now. Panda will resume work on the 25th of this month. But the return trip is monkey balled. Something will be figured out. On another note... I got some stuff in. Going to keep it hidden from you until its painted and completed. Should be exciting for you guys.
You got 10 MANZ, 8 lootaz, 13 ork boyz, and 3 Forgeworld supa kannons, and 4 forge world grot kannons. Goal. Get this done by Tuesday. . Oh and 15 old Power Armored Nobz and a Classic grazskull. He so tiny.. i love it.. if you cant tell i am a meta gamer. :F
Where the heck do you find these things, I have been keeping half an eye out for some meganobz and seen nothing of note. You just casually get your mitts on 10.
Oh and I recently got hold of that Gaz model, and yes he is soo small and cute, thinking of giving him a nose job and making him my grot king, he is that small.

looking forward to seeing some work here....
well Camkierhi i do have 33 MANZ i am looking to sell eleven of them. 1 is also a mega armored war boss, if you are interested talk to me.
I plan on using him as grazskull. Tiny beat stick. The classic ones i thought were power armored are actually classic mega armor.
Viktor von Domm wrote:yeah...well seeing that mass.... who needs sleep and food? and well... going to the toilet is overrated too
I finished another character model. Silly friends having birthdays and the better half wanting to spend time with me... they should know i want nothing more to become a hermit. Ya right. Progress is steady, but i ran out of a key wash ingredient so my make my orks dirty recipe stopped and i cant do much more than base coats.
it does indeed look very good! But what stood out for me was they eyes on the first picture, very nice icey blue, I wouldn't have thought of that, It works really well,
Thanks, i use the flags as my boss poles. It also clearly identifies who is the nob in my boy squad for newer players.
J-paint wrote:it does indeed look very good! But what stood out for me was they eyes on the first picture, very nice icey blue, I wouldn't have thought of that, It works really well,
you leave me stumped on this one. His eyes are just normal white and black. Are you ok J-paint or have you been painting to much grey and thought black was a blue?
At any rate thank you for the comments. I actually really enjoy his eyes as well.
I got those 9 Manz up to their drab green. If you looked at the photo that is actually a boltgun/chainmail base coat.
Im very sorry! you are entirely right! I have no idea why but when I saw that picture first time it looked like it had a very light blue tint! Having stared at it for a good few seconds on super zoomed in mode I can see its just my mind playing tricks on me! Still very well done though!

No reason to be sorry mate. was just worried you were turning color blind on me. Thank you kindly! Nice to see you back in these parts.
what I like best on that model, the star sprangled brass knuckles...! that is a very cool idea and probably totally unique! the banner is like all the other you did before...oozing coolness!
does he have a name yet?
and hermit... LOL...just forget once her birthday or when you first ate a burger/sandwich with her...and you probably will be a hermit then ....
Orks all look great, but Im afraid the Keanu picture takes the page. If you think that is a funny line, watch him in Street Kings. Some absolute knee slappers in that one. Problem is its supposed to be a serious police movie.

well thanks Vik! yeah, i wanted to do something different with a power fist that was no longer a claw. Sadly I am out the paint juice so its gonna be a few days before I can post more finished models.

i seen it. I was quite young at the time, i took it seriously, but the jokes still got me.
I had read some of what you had written there and then forgotten to comment on it. I've now caught up. Nice story, interesting. I've subbed it now, so won't miss future updates. Keep it up.

Thank you mate. Yay good story that is always warming to hear.
That certainly appears to be quite a bit of dakka.
As for the fluff. The story continues to be good. Not sure how much feedback you want for it, I've noticed a few mistakes here and there but I don't know how much you care about getting it perfect or if you're happy with it as is? I'm probably not the best person to be correcting English (mild dyslexia) but I can point out what I notice if you like?

I would like you to point out my mistakes. I want readers to have an easy read. English/language is a major weak spot in my life.

Not only is that a ton of dakka, it also looks like transportation for your brushes as well the army looks sweet man, loving the standard bearer.
*looks at squiggy full of brushes* MADE MY FREAKING DAY! to battle we must paint them yellow! ultra smurfs are still having a hard time not being called imperial fists.

Not so much anymore. You're definitely better, the trick is figuring out what points you want to get across before saying/writing anything.
But don't beat yourself up about. Your fluff is pretty well-written and engaging in some spots. English is hardly this massive hull breach in the battleship which is your life.
I feel like that metaphor failed. Point is: you're better than you think.

Hmm... battle ship, breaches.. needs more pants. Thanks for the compliments. Means quite a bit coming from your Major. Point taken, would like to read your Nano one of these days.
