Yeah. Sorry if I was unclear. I meant that you should do a unit of grots dressed as the rebel kids from the red dawn movie (in the old one they called themselves the "Wolverines", I haven't seen the new one yet on a matter of principle) but they were dressed up in rag tag clothes and cloaks. Did a lot of guerrilla style hit and run tactics and were all fairly young. It just seemed to work together in my head.

! What what! How do you kit it? And what targets do you usually go after with it? Mine is MVP for prolly half the games I play, and even the games it's not, it almost always kills its points worth at least.

Meganobz look great btw, and I love that kunnin' konsealment that mek is using

And the mek likes you back. I run it with the extra shoota, and fighter ace. Typically hunt monsters, and light armor. Never really get the option to shoot other types of targets.
i typically find my MVP to be my boyz with guns. that or my MANZ rip through half a army.

Hey guys 1 squiggoth ready to paint, other is still in a wip. His howdah is waiting some dremel treament along with this one.

Since i did one in blue, i was thinking of doing a red and a white one. What do you guys think?

hmmm your logic is very profound. It still gets the good old red white and blue theme across, but if thye were all blue squiggs wouldn't it kinda get boring?

it depends if you want it to be a clickable or not. For the simple version, when making a post click on the attachments and add them, for the clickable, upload to gallery, copy paste the form code and bang. This is also how text wrapping and the sort is done.

so am i, in fact i set aside a huge amount of money and well... i need to have a poll for all my followers.

What should panda get?

Should he A) buy a gargantuan squiggoth
Should he B) buy another 3 squiggoths
Should he C) find something else to spend his money on?
Should he D) buy 100's of conversion packs and finish converting his orks?

I think that squads of 3 big squiggoths are more effective than one gargantuan.... For the points, money, and survivability. That being said, you already have 3 mothering big squiggoths! So go for it dude! Now the enemy will have to choose whether to go after big daddy OR the precocious little scamps running full speed in front of him. He'll pull cover from the (Big) little guys too! THAT would be a scary sight to see. Throw in a big mek stompa after that and you've got yourself a real party.

Do you really have to ask? You can play with your boyz not fully converted yet, but can you play without a friggin Giant Squiggoth?!?!?!?!?!?

Conversion packs. Big cant have a big Ork army without lots of orks. Besides, you already have 3 little ones right? I look at it as I do a killa kan or Deff Dread. The big guy is awesome but 3 little guys can cause more trouble. Right?

Of course I don't know how to play so take that into account.

well there are german pancakes that greatly differ from the american ones... thinner they are for one... but a good self made waffle...now that is something that has prooven to be a siegeweapon in cookery for millenia... because... the waffle structure holds the sirup/pudding/sugar power much better than a mere pancake

Panda's Amazing squigg tut, you too can have pretty scales in a hours worth of work! Just a hour he says?! for such a huge model. I never said it was done, but that skin sure is pretty! 1 hour for the scales! do tell amazing panda! photos are coming!

Here is the finished product! just kidding keep scrolling!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Alright Folks! Here is Panda's Mighty Squiggy Tut. So Mighty Everything Must Start With A Capital Just So It Hurts The Brain.

alright that is over.. anyway what do we have here on the good old fashion 'paint it like crap and call it gold block'?

Why that appears to be a primed squiggoth. So it is! Lets start to ruin-make the model pretty! grab your large dry brush lads, and a whole skew of colors.

Step 2:

Well what do you know! panda even included the paint he used. The reasons we leave the feat blank is because we dont want to taint the color that we will use for painted paws and bellies! I know what you were thinking.. panda was just lasy, but this really the correct method. A large dry brush was used to apply the coat of paint with the mentioned color in the photo.

Step 3: Waoh step 3 already?!

Alright the goal here is to leave the upper areas towards the back and such the darkest red! That is right, this is the first color to your transition. enterprising i know. you will notice towards the inside of the ribs and upper back the darker red is clearly visible. That is ok! Keep dry brushing, move it fast left and right and spread the color all about.

Step 4: Alright keep moving

Now children we keep repeating the above step, building up to the next color and leaving the old color behind, this leaves a transition. And thanks to the nifty dry brush style you can even go very lightly over the old color in a small section adding to the transition!

Step 5: Holy.. why so many...

Alright here we are starting to build up towards the painted paw/belly color so do a very thinish line of this color to only about the ankle, leaving a majority of the area the color of the previous color.

Step 6: Meh not much left

This here should take up half of the previous stripe as you can see and cover the ankle. This color should also be very close to your painted paw color you chose! well luckily for me i didnt have to mix paints and gw makes a color close to my painted paw color!

Step 7: The tricky one.

Here we applied first! pay attention to that word first! we applied the painted paw color! in this case you can see the color i chose in the photo.. Next with the dry brush still having your paw color pigment mix it with your previous transition color and dry brush very quickly in between both colors of the paw and the ankle line. This smooths what otherwise would have been a rough transition. Dont worry if you get it wrong or get color everywhere practice will do it.

Step 8: Add your favorite stripe color!

Step 9: Time to finish it up and make it grim dark! Add a dark wash...

And well your done with the skin, in about a hour! Not bad! it looks good too

Things you should take away from this. Dont be afraid to be messy! this is dry brushing the more you bleed your colors the more likely you are to have a smooth transition, over bleeding can occur, but that is for the eye to judge! Now pick up your large dry brush and have a go at it. If you think i scared to be messy look at that things armor, it is covered in color stages.

its all because i am to lasy to buy a air brush, it is just to much space. You can use this style on anything really, i use it on my vehicles, my jet is a good example of it.

if you must know i am after the more exotic colors myself. Say a nice teal or even a purple. But for normal i do say, brown, or red, its the way to go.
I like OTT paint jobs, but i must practice my free hand more.

You know where it is at Squid Bot!

Also.. if people like i think this be kinda fun.. For the more regular vistors; you know who you are!
I will create you as an Ork in my army, and paint you up.

Here is what you need to do for me!
Describe what you would like to do
IE be a pilot, be a heavy gunner, be commanda.
And throw down a bit of personality. Are you sneaky? Hero? Ect.
Even little personal touches like war paints or something if you like.

That way, when playing a game i can always shout noo and have platoon moments.
just a thought. Do so at your own risk.

For the more regular vistors

am i regular? i knew i am mixing with the wrong kind of people

if the honor to be made into an ork could include my humble self...then...

here would be the ingredients...

° growing belly...but not in full beer inhaling capacity... yet^^
° bushy eyebrows...with a constant grim look (essential...as i get older this look is almost unchanging^^)

Sod it, I'll throw my helmet in the ring for this.
A sneaky kommando. Very sneaky. Snikrot doesn't hear me coming sneaky. Well, that's what I think I am, but actually I'm not sneaky at all. I actually snap every twig, knock every branch and my backpack full of equipment jangles and clanks with every step. BUT I THINK I'M SNEAKY!
Stabba and slugga, maybe some kind of revolver. A backpack loaded with junk (Ropes, traps, grenades, what have you)
Some form of face gear, like a cool gas mask or NV goggles.

On the painting block for the next week is
10 lootas

2 big shoota boys
9 More Manz

Here is my current model under work. Going to finish my fast attack, then back to the troop choice, then back to the heavy support and so on till everything is painted.

Moving in a week.. getting a new work space for models and things.. be excited as i am?!

Also debating on doing an airbrush plunge. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Please fill me in.

On another note, played a game with my buddy, it ended in a draw, it was a lovely game enjoyed it. Most epic moment warboss mounts the edge of the creator the guard hide in and all the smacking goes down.

You are not the first nor the last to notice this. I leave it up to the viewer to decide, but my reasoning is orks take slaves and are for the most part gender-less.

i would if i didnt have to deal with this beast. these are more or less exactly what mine look like.

So gents.. School is wrapping up here. And well that means summer! which means project time

But whats hobby without goals? Well here is my goal its for the feast of blades that has been happening in my area. Twice i made the invite to it for the second round, so i wanna keep trying. Maybe i can make it three times, who knows.

Anyways i made a list, and of course i want a painted army. Thus here is my goal to paint by October.

2 big meks
38 lootas
100 ork boys (going to have to buy another 40 back packs, eep)
9 grot kannons (some where on here i have my conversions)
27 grots (i made 33 of them just havent posted them)
And lastly, the finishing touch, Some kind of ork wall with flakk gun to count as an ADL.

I am still under a 150pts. Trying to decide what to take... i will write a more official list, i promise, but i expect to get all these models done by end of summer. you can track me to laugh at me.

Yes sir indeed, all the orks going to get to be ameriorks. As far as the rasscals they live in their humble abode of a cage, but when out, can climb anything. I am lucky they don't like to chew cords, the white one prefers candy wrappers, with candy inside .
Ferrets are picky eaters will only eat what they grew up eating so she wont eat the candy, just chew it to bits.
As for the other guy, he loves bottles. The cap especially.

Now thinking of what to paint for this 2k tourney i going to write my list and hope i will have everything painted

HQ - 216pts total
Big Mek - KFF, EA, BP, Kombi-Skorcha, Ammo Run, Cybork Body - 113pts (dont got my codex, but pretty sure this is right)
Big Mek - SAG, BP, Ammo runt - 103pts (Random is competitive don't you know?)

Elites - 450pts total
10 loota - 150pts
10 loota - 150pts
10 loota - 150pts

Fast Attack - 250pts
Burna Bomba - 125
Burna Bomba - 125

Troops - 750pts
20 boyz - Nob, BP, BC, Big Shootax2 - 150pts
20 boyz - Nob, BP, BC, Big Shootax2 - 150pts
20 boyz - Nob, BP, BC, Big Shootax2 - 150pts
20 boyz - Nob, BP, BC, Big Shootax2 - 150pts
20 boyz - Nob, BP, BC, Big Shootax2 - 150pts

Heavy Support - 234pts
Big Gunz - Ammo Runt x3, Grot x 3 - 78pts
Big Gunz - Ammo Runt x3, Grot x 3 - 78pts
Big Guns - Ammo Runt x3 Grot x 3- 78pts

Fortifications - 100pts
Defense Line with Quad Gun - 100pts

Total Model Count:
100+30+2+2+9+18+9 = 170 Models to paint
Models that are painted in this list -
1 + 11 + 2 + 5 = 19 models painted
Net Models to paint - 151 models

Still not sure if this is 100% official yet, thinking of trading out 20 boys for all power klaws so i can have a method of dealing with av 14.

I am just scared to get into it. I assembled them all the way and that cage is terrifying. My main priority right now though are my tau. Orks are kind of on the shelf while I play the tau a lot.
