I have to say panda for the just drybrushing this look absolutely phenomenal! I clearly have not been doing it right!! THanks very much for that, I'll be looking up this tutorial when i next have a squiggoth to paint..... admittedly in the very far future.

not a problem at all, make sure you get your brush right for dry brushing, and it doesnt have too much paint.
