Well I just got my hands on the GW release catalog and some odd stuff I noticed in it:  All prices in USD

I'm looking forward to the Chapter Masters. They'll have to be biggerised no doubt, but it's only a handfull of minis. Hopefully we'll get pics in the next month or so.

I imagine we'll be seeing some of the other products that were mentined HERE as well.

Let's not jump to conclusions...they quite possibly have a redeeming quality that makes them worth it - GW seems to be doing a good job with this new stuff.

Apocalypse templates. Presumably this will include the big 10" one and others. Meh. Easy enough to make your own or wait two weeks for GF9 to produce a knock-off.

If GW discontinues the green stuff I don't particularly care, as I don't buy it in their packaging. The real question is if Kneadatite is still going to be selling the stuff. I also wonder if GW is just going to start selling the original packaging, instead of re-boxing it like they've always done.

The discontinued Ork vehicles does have possible good connotations, if it means that the newer stuff is coming sooner than expected.

My GW rep said that the stompa was 16 sprues and they're really having a hard time finding a box for it.  They're trying to cut down on the sprue count so they can fit it in a normal box, and its release depends on the baneblade sales.  The baneblade is THE iconic super vehicle of the imperium so if anything would sell well it would. 

The apocalypse templates are supposed to be BIG.  Thats all i could pry out of him.  apparently there's supposed to be "linked fire" templates which is 3 or 4 ordnance templates together.

When I go in tomorrow I'll get some more info

Ghaz - I didn't bother to post the stuff we knew about (or the other random things being discontinued like bases and marine jet pack bags)

The templates for Apocolypse are huge, i hear the flamer template alone is 18"( think titan inferno cannon or napalm strike for planes kinda thing)  along with some big round ones etc for cluster bombs etc

So if a 5" is refered to as a Pie Plate, then is a 10"-er going to be a Manhole Cover? Anyone remember the template for the Thudd Gun? If you have one, PDF it so I can just enlarge it at Kinkos and save some money to spend on the Baneblade.

And exactly what bases are they discontinuing?

Is suspect it's the same rationale as with the Jump Pack bag. They're basically bitz, don't move in volume and it makes more sense to sell them through the bitz system then in retail packaging.

I just want to know which ones they are so if it's something I plan on using I can stock up on them. Or is it all of them?

I'll get the info tonight. But i do know that right now all of the flying bases and 25mm regimental bases are discontinued already.

Someone want to explain to me why if the 10-CSM box is $30 why the 5-CSM box is $20. Shouldn't it be $15?

Same with the 20 man flagellant box that has a discount over the 10 box, but it is a limited release. When all the 20 man boxes are gone thats it -- you'll just have the 10 man ones to buy in the future.

wait a minute...there are no Ork plastic vehicles except buggs and wartrucks....and does that mean they are again (!) to lazy to make new ones and just repack them with an additional accesoire sprue? because that would SUCK!

I count 5 current Ork vehicles.  War Trukk, WarTrak, WarTrack Scorcha, Warbuggy and Warbike.  So it looks like they are discontinuing everything based on the Warbike sprue.   Buggy may still be on the list to redo, but my guess is the bikes are going to be redone first.

Read it again. He said they're discontinuing all the vehicles except the buggy and the wartrak, not the wartrukk.

Funny, harlie blisters are being discontinued. So now if you want to get just the harlies with the Kisses (ie what everyone wants) you have to bits order it for more $$$.

On the other hand, um yeah, the Chaos stuff looks cheaper. And what's with the apocolypse stuff coming out without a rulebook to supplement it?

Why? It didnt come out until a realtively short time ago.

And sucks about the Vostroyans....

ALL vostroyan blisters are being discontinued. You can still mail order them like all discontinued items though. Oddly enough the 2 boxes (command and squad) will be sticking around.

ARRGH! I still need to pick up another blister of officers, two blisters of snipers, three lascannons and four more plasma guns. Fortunately I can pick up everything but the plasma guns right now at the various game stores in my area.
