Seems exciting... it isn't.  The big change is to take away a techmarines extra attack from having a plasma pistol on the servo harness.  I guess everyone is going to stop making those uber powerful techmarine armies now... wait nobody uses techmarines anymore.

There might be other changes but I couldn't see it.

Ahh very nice.

It was most certainly neccesary to clear up that overpowered brokeness that people kept getting away with concerning techmarines. The cheesy gits.

Now, where the hell is my god damned Eldar FAQ?

Well it's a good sign in that they finally seem to be updating their old FAQs to match changes they make in related codices (since the rule for Techmarines was the opposite in the DA/BA codices).

It is a practice that is LONG overdue but would be much more helpful if they'd go back to some of their older FAQs and clear up the glaring inconsistencies that remain.

Of course they also should have updated the SM FAQ with some of the FAQs that they failed to include the first time, like all sorts of questions about how Castellan minefields exactly work, if Be Swift as the Wind applies to Attack bike squadrons, etc.

Yes I suppose it is a good sign although a little discouraging that it took that long to simply change a "yes" to a "no" and somewhat more discouraging they have that kind of "urgency" to completely reverse a decision on an altogether minor detail on an underused unit but no hint of FAQs for Eldar or DAs.

Do you ever feel like if you make enough sarcastic comments about how lethargic GW is they might change?

Just the opposite... the more sarcastic comments made, the more lethargic GW gets out of spite.

Unfortunately true. GW reacts to criticism by hiding and retreating.

For example:
Website forums are a problem -- close them
Retailers sneaking new releases info -- stop telling anyone what future releases are
etc, etc

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

To be fair one way or the other I had a two second reflex GW *female dog*-fit when I was reading in the BA FAQ and it said Techmarine plasma pistols did not count as a second CCW.

Strangely enough, the BT FAQ states that Techmarines do get +1 A for the harness plaspistol.

It's not a mistake. Updating FAQs is a difficult, time-consuming job. I'm sure they're working hard as we speak, and that the BT FAQ will be updated within a mere year or so.

Actually, speaking of complaining, if we complain about these FAQ's (because they're incomplete, miss most of the actual questions, and generally speak to GW's laziness in this arena), then they're just going to come back with 'We released FAQ's, and you weren't happy with it, so no more FAQ's'.

Or better yet, "you complained about the FAQ, so you'll have to wait for the new Codex". Oh, wait, that's what's been going on. "Ok, then when you wait for the new codex, we'll do a stealth increase!" 'Cause you know that the BA 'freebie' will be redone and new and improved and official later on thus superseeding said 'freebie'.

hilarious

True story.

Once, I was against my friend's BA with my Striking Scorpions and my buddy was outraged that I could turn OFF my powerfist, and this would then allow me to beat him upside the head with my Shuriken Pistol at S5 I6.

I just had to share.

I'm going to sleep.

Whoa! Slow down, mate! Lets not make hasty decisions that will be quite profoundly regretted later on.

If you join the dark side, that will only leave Toreador to defend GW by himself. You cant leave your mate to the lions now can you?

Hmmm... Just checked out the errata page on the US site. Conspicuous by its absence is the old Eldar FAQ. Has the link been gone for a while or is this a new development? If this is a new development, does it portend a forthcoming 4th ed. FAQ? In the next 24 months?

I'm actually kind of pissed about the Techammarine losing his extra attack. (Yes I do run one, with a PF no less.) Now I only get 6 attacks on the charge..... need to swap his bolter with a bolt pistol... Damnit!

Damn, youre right.

I have been much to harsh about kroot mercs lately. I failed to see the real logic behind them due to my own tactical shortcoming and blamed GW for it.

Nidzillas arent overpowered, I just have a small ruler. I have ruler envy.

You're on a roll man!

Now tell us how the Dark Angel Codex is perfect and how we're being childish for being annoyed that GW is invalidating all our Chaos sub-lists and armies that we've spent time and money putting together.

Then once you've done that explain how Jervis might just be the 2nd Comming.

"The Dark Angel Codex encapsulates perfectly the very essence of the Dark Angels' fluff. Surely they follow the Codex Astartes (Deathwing and Ravenwing excepted, of course). Surely they are tradition-bound, and insist that all of the upper-echelon officers of their successor chapters take on the same names as the officer's of the original Dark Angels chapter. Ravenwing Bikes with teleport homers (free!) are the perfect "catalyst" unit to use with Deathwing Terminators, whose ability to take lightning claws easily (easily!) makes up of the loss of a second weapon.

"Any Chaos army you had before can still be played with the new Codex. A few names have been changed, and you might have to swap a weapon or two, but those are well within the capabilities of a committed hobbiest such as yourself, right? You are committed, right?

That's not strange.  If you knew anything about the FLUFF! you would know that BT tech marines really, really love the Space Emperor unlike other tech marines who are kind of meh about him so they get an extra attack.

MMMM the power of cheese. Actually what I'm REALLY pissed about is the fact that I JUST built my Techmarine two weeks ago (After a LONG time figuring out just HOW I was going to attach his Jump Pack) and am in the middle of painting him, now I have to swap out that damn bolter with a pistol without ruining the progress I've made so far.
