Whoa! Slow down, mate! Lets not make hasty decisions that will be quite profoundly regretted later on.

If you join the dark side, that will only leave Toreador to defend GW by himself. You cant leave your mate to the lions now can you?

Haha....  Nah, I'll still defend them when people get too worked up on hating GW and lose all rationality.  But I won't defend them if they make stupid errors like releasing contradictory or incomplete FAQ's.

Defended when defendable. The crazy ranting and raving by the loons that are the Dakka berzerker squad usually needs a little tempering, but the FAQ situation is horrible. Gav used to churn these things out quick, whether you liked them or not, for WHFB.PP puts out so many changes people can't even keep up AND they churn out new rules. GW steps in and makes a minor adjustments for a figure that is hardly used. What they need is an FAQ for the main rules. Everyone has compiled lists, questions have been asked over and over, get the team together and push it out. Two things killed the game in our area, and that was rule issues from the main book and balanced armies. Get the first out of the way and you can work towards the other.

Like France, some things are just not defendable.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

Oh Noes!!!111!! Toreador has fallen too! With Ozymandias and Toreador both giving way, Ozgiliath has fallen! Now no force stands between the vile forces of Dakka and the lands of GW Fanboyz!! Warseer and B&C beware! Light the fires, maybe Fat Bloke will come to your aid!

Um, yeah... You know how kids say "That's so effing gay, dude" when talking about craptastic things? Yeah, I'd call the Dark Angels list pretty gay 'cuz it sucks _(DA object of your choice)_.

Haven't given way, just the same ol same ol. There are things I complain about, just not always what everyone here complains about

and the FAQs are a horrible mess...

Careful, they may FAQ that you can't have a jump pack and a servo-harness!

BTW, I'm having trouble cause DA placed last at the Chicago GT   (though  Tyranids placed last at Baltimore).

Competitive players generally think DA is weaker than regular CSM for tourney play (and they're not wrong).

Given that, the competitive players bring other armies, those that bring DA would tend to be fluff players. That could help explain the poor showing.

I want to see a really competitive player try out DA for a tournament and see how they do. Personally, I favor my Dark Eldar for Tourney use (not that I'm even a big tournament guy, usually just local RT's).

Ozy,

Anthony Chellew (sp?) recently won the Brisbane GT with a Dark Angels Deathwing Army. I'm pretty sure he had 4 wins, 1 draw, and a loss (against a super shooty Tau army...)

I had the pleasure of playing him using a shooty vanilla Marines list , and got wiped out - flanked me by using deep strike, used terrain to negate my Dev squads and rolled me up.

On first read I thought the DA Codex was unusable...now, not so sure...
