Looking at the detail, and the fact they aren't a tank kit or troops, they would have to be metal.

Stormboyz look great
Battlewagons look great
Snikrott's ears look dopey but the rest of the model is very cool (especially the pose, very unorky, and the goggles)
Badrukk... nice model but there is just something about the paint scheme that is a bit off putting.

Actually I believe they are plastic.

Yep, they are plastic. Saw the new catalog the other day that is coming out and it had those, the plastic Grots, plastic Multi-part Nobz, and Battlewagon in it. All looked great and I am really looking forward to January!

I honestly do no like the direction the new orks are taking. I'm currently working on my first set of Tankbusta boys and the models are suffering from a case of too much detail. The stormboys seem to be no different.

They have metal shards just bolted to their skin in places, and so many little hooks and chains and whatnots that the model itself is too busy and looses function.

I'll stick with the old stormboys. A rokkit strapped to an ork with a big red button. You can still see the ork underneith it and the figure looks like it could actually work. Not get hung up on something just walking through a door way.

See pics of my Orks, Tau, Emperor's Children, Necrons, Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar here:

That's the point of Orks, there supposed to look crazy and have metal every where. And they wont get hung up on anything cuz da orks seas they don't!

I think the ears MAKE Snikrot. He looks like a Gremlin. Like a huge, heavily armed, Kommando gremlin.

I really love the new storm boyz, but does anyone else think they would be a nightmare to transport. Heck the ones I have now barely fit inside my case, I would have to custom cut holes for them, which would really take all the room in my case. Space marines may be boring, but at least they are easy to move around!

Wow, great set of pics! It's nice to see some more angles of the Battlewagon, and amongst other Ork models it looks suitably big & killy. I can't wait to see 3 or 4 on the table at once.

The Snikrot model is top-notch IMO, ears, goggles and all. He has a Splinter Cell thing going on and I approve.

Plastic Stormboyz? Instant win.

Finally Orks are done some justice - good codex, great models, it's about time!

Damn...I am going to start saving up for these guys now! And I don't even play Orks (yet!).

I think Snik's ears are a well thought out detail. Afterall, a great part of sneaking is the ability to hear others and yourself. Plus the finger to his mouth saying "Shhhh..!" Is Awesome!

Damn,damn,damn...just when I was starting to get rolling with my Guard army... ::sigh::

Yeah, I agree with you there. For thsoe that say that is the point of Orks I agree and it is up to the modeler to give the model character not the skulptor otherwise you will have a set number of unique models before you have to start repeating the same guy, where as with the old Brian Nelson figs it was a blank canvas to start from scratch. The new path that they are taking is surly for the noob player who couldn't model their way out of a wet paper bag.

THIS! IS!! AWESOME!!!
I'm going to throw my old Stormboyz in the trash now, the new ones are so brilliant. Look at it, there's even a tiny Grot riding in the Rocket with a boy

The only modell I'm not too fond of is Badrukk, he has a weird 2nd edition vibe, I'm not sure if I should like it or hate it. And it looks like the plastic nobz will also be Flash Gitz, which makes me very (2x) happy.
