That SW model was the Collector's Range model from last year's Games Days. It has nothing to do with the actual SW release (hopefully) this year. Still, it's a great model, and it'll be nice to take it home.

hence why i said RE-RELEASED.

(I see where it says "collectors" in the description)

but heck, SW could use a new codex and the march section on this list is very short and leaves off the last week and the days leading up to APRIL FOOLS DAY!

so Im getting ready for some ridiculous april stuff in 40K

Imperial Guard are next for 40k if all current rumours are to be believed. Not that GW are letting anything slip out atm.

Nice Space Wolf model though.
I notice it says The Havocs are Hybrid. So their not a plastic kit to re-vamp the line like the plastic devastators?
Just a hybrid kit of top heavy models.
That will fall over a lot.

I think a lot of players will disagree on this. Not only because the last released Codex was that of the Space Marines (which, due to the FAQ, gave the Space Wolves some stuff as well), but also because the Space Wolves don't have that bad a Codex. In terms of gaming, the Imperial Guard, Necrons and Tau Empire need their release a lot more than the Space Wolves do. In terms of models, there is just one way to say this so: Dark Eldar. Releasing Space Wolves anytime soon would be a terrible decision by GW.

That is the US price, and it is cheaper. Rignt now havocs are $45, they're being lowered to $35.

yeah but hte chaos havocs are still metal right?

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

Since the havocs say "repackaged" I'd assume they're the same models, new box.
They have been missing from the shelves at our local shop for some time, this seems to be them coming back.

It says Active Hybrid, some I'm guessing it's metal weapons included with standard plastic Chaos Space Marines.

Ready the nickels in the bases...

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

No kidding!

And I still don't understand why they've been 100% ignored by Forgeworld either...

I second this! (as I have a rather large salamander army, and hate trying to de-chaosify alpha legion shoulder pads)

My hatred of the current Chaos Havoc heavy weapons knows no bounds. Not redoing these putrid lumps of misshapen metal (Miniature Toppling +2) would indeed be a painful twist of an already deeply-driven dagger.

"Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! Slayer of worlds! Felt the power throb in his weapon. He clutched it tightly in his hand and turned towards his foe letting it build in the twin energy spheres and then finally! RELEASE! The throbbing weapon ejaculated burning white fluid over them as Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! laughed manfully!" - From the epic novel, Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! Obliterates! the! Their cheaper now, so you can afford to put heavier coinage in their bases so they stay up right!

THIS again?

Soz, my bad.

But yes, it is weird that Astartes Obscuros get their silly pads and the big ones from the first founding don't. I might be wrong here but didn't the Salamanders and Raven Guard used to have metal shoulder guards?

Salamanders have never had metal pads.

Instead, die-hard players (well, at least *me*) use the Chaos Alpha Legion pads with a "hydra" head that is pretty much identical to the Salamanders icon.

The Havoks box is cheaper because the old one came with 5 all-metal models, with bodies separate from the heavy weapons.

It looks like the new one will include a plastic CSM Combat Squad + the weapons instead, so it costs less.

A lot of people were using the "Alpha Legion" metal shoulder pads for Salamanders, and it wasn't a bad fit actually.

As for Raven Guard, I'm pretty sure that they've never had anything with their iconography on it produced by GW or Forgeworld.

The shame!

Hmm, odd that. I thought the Salamanders got their pads during the Armageddon 3 event when that mini-dex had their rules.
