I`m still surprised Chaos Dreads and Ork Dreads didn`t get the plastic treatment this time, I mean plastic Possessed are nice but I think those are the last two metal vehicles in the game.

SO barring stuff that we wish for (ie greatcoat guard) what can we say needs to be made in plastic ASAP?

Seconded all of those.

Mr Kyoto, you start all the best discussions.

Hmm... I'd like to see the monsters in WHFB start getting more plastics. Ok, we've seen Rat Ogres and indeed Ogres, but Kroxigor, Trolls, Minotaurs, Ushabti and the like remain metal.

Some of the metals look ok, but they are a nuisance to put together and fall apart at the slightest provocation. Plastics are stronger, allow for more variety and have begun to surpass metal for quality. Oh and they cost less.

Just so they'd be cheaper to build armies for:
1)Sisters of Battle
2)Necrons
Both of these are hideously expensive to build up!

It'd be nice to see Orks get plastic dreads, kans, meganobz, and big gunz as part of a Wave 3 release. They're still missing a few of the special characters (Wazdakka, the Warphead) and buggies - so there's hope of more stuff to come.

I guess I should be clearer what I mean, what models are too large/heavy/awkward for metal and would sell in enough quantity to justify making them in plastic?

Ork Dreads
Chaos Dreads
Fire prism
Gargoyles

How about Plastic Greater Daemons then? With options to make the Special Characters?

Mega armor nobz top my list for wanted in plastic. I don't think they're huge sellers right now, but that's because they are metal and cost $15 each. Even the overpriced plastic terminators are two-thirds the price.

As an ork player I really don't feel like I've got anything to bitch about. It would be nice to see a plastic ork dread, but really I never take one because the rules suck.

Kanz are another issue, since they're very useful, plenty of people use them, and people have issues assembling the current models.

Similar issues with the ork Mega Armored Nobz. I've got 5 of them, just haven't bother to put them together because they've got that rule that causes them to roll all the time for difficult terrain.

I also LIKE the fact that all these models are made of metal, since I like the heft, and we won't see a price decrease.

The age of man is over; the time of the Ork has come.

I know my budddy would be really happy with Obliterators in plastic. Or at least not $22 each...

that`s what I was guoting.

Greater Demons are a definite pick. I can`t believe those old fuglies are still going for $50+ but I don`t know if any of them would sell enough to justify it, and all 4 would be a tough sell.

I agree that sisters need new models, but I think that GK would take more than just a chest, shoulders, and weapons. You would need entire new arms for the storm bolter and nemesis force weapon, a new chest plate for sure, probably new legs (they have inset GK detail words that aren't on any SM plastic legs), and definitely a new head.

And not that Orks can complain much, but a multi-part plastic Warboss like the SM Commander would be appreciated. Same with every other army - a multi-part plastic HQ with lots of various weapons and bitz.

Personally, I prefer plastic over anything else anytime. It's easier to put together, when it breaks it's not nearly as hard to put together, and it's waaay cheaper. It's also easier to convert with because plastic is a whole lot easier to cut than the other stuff.

Plastic Chaos Havocs would be good: something like the Devastator Kit except with Autocannons instead of Plasma Cannons, and a set of combi-weapons instead of a Multi-Melta.

Ork Dreads
Chaos Dreads
Fire prism
Gargoyles

I agree with the above.

The Chaos Dread, in particular, is simply a sprue & bitz swap - it's a no brainer for the next Chaos Wave release.

The Fire Prism, is merely the worst of the mixed-metal kits, having a huge chunk of metal that sits off-axis on the model. I'd add the Leman Russ Demolisher and IG Hellhound, along with the Sisters Exorcist to the list, except, as Tanks, they sit solidly on the ground.

Gargoyles and other flyers / tall models will always be a mess until they're plastic. Lump in Furies and such.

Within 40k, it'd be nice to have all bulk Troops in plastic, so Sisters and Storms are obvious choices for the remake, along with Eldar Rangers.

But looking at WFB, the Empire Steam Tank really should be plastic as well. It's literally 2 pounds of ill-fitting metal, for heaven's sake. Or, as GW puts it: "The Steam Tank is an intricate multi-part metal kit and is recommended for experienced modellers only." The only other time I recall GW having a similar modeling caveat was on the metal Thunderhawk, and I wouldn't wish the assembly of that beast upon anyone...

I'd like to see plastic wraiths for Necrons as top-heaviness is a real pain to deal with.

As an eldar player, my wish is for plastic aspect warriors. The plastic DA's are great and having the weapon options for the exarch in plastic is solid gold. Just wish it were so for Banshees, Scorpions, Dragons, Hawks, Spiders, and Spears.

I hear there's some issues putting the Thunderfire Cannon together easily as well. I know it's a new model, but GW could have cut plastic dies for it to begin with.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I dont know if the boss has enough options to justify a kit like that... I mean, really we're talking the difference between a power klaw or a big choppa. What I think it would be nice to see are a couple of alternately posed metal models.

Sure there are enough options, standard warboss, mega armor warboss, even a biker warboss if they want to steal some of forgeworld's thunder.

No. A GK's armour contains much more detail then a standard Smurf's. Inscriptions on every part of the armour, various accessories exclusive to the GKs, and more. Not to mention that the GKs in general are some of the best miniatures that GW has ever produced. If GW were to ever make plastic GKs, they'd have to do it right. You can't meet the level of quality that the GK models have with a simple SM conversion kit.
