Whoa, Fafnir, let's not get too carried away here...

The GK models are nicely detailed, but those wrist-mounted Storm Bolters are NOT good. And the froghelms on the GKTs are just silly-looking.

That said, I completely agree that GK cannot be done as a conversion kit - they'd have to be all-new sculpts and molds, and I just can't see GK selling in the numbers to make this work.

Guard are gonna be lucky this summer...

plastic stormtroopers
and rumoured plastic weapon options for the Russ (demolisher, exterminator vanquisher?)

Plastic Sisters of Battle would be the top priority

Oh, nice topic Kyoto:

Sisters are a must. The metal models just lack the dynamic you could give them with a multi-part plastic kit. Also, buying special weapons in blisters is so last decade

Chaos Dreads would be nice, can I have a new set of rules with it? You know, some that DON'T SUCK!

I don't think GKs should get plastics. GKs shouldn't even get a whole book dedicated to them. Takes the whole fun out of the concept.

A plastic Warboss would be a great idea though. It could be modified more easily to build a Biker Boss, and I would like to see a Warboss model with a [i]real[/] huge choppa. There are a lot of other options that would justifiy such a kit. Attack Squigs and Cybork parts come to mind.

Well, if they do plastic sisters, for once, it would be nice if they could do a female face right. The current sisters minis look like men with boobs and bobcuts.

And about the bobcuts, no more of those please. They're ugly and stupid looking. They don't have to be beauty queens, but it would be nice if they looked decent.

Totally agreed on the Sisters haircuts.

If they do plastic Sisters, please, give us a full set of Sabbat helms.

Also, have the exposed heads with their hair in those nun's covers so just that the face is exposed.

And a screaming female baldie for each unit, please!

Thanks!

Eventhough I've got all the SoB I think I'll ever need I'm not sure plastics are going to be...easy. The tabard pieces really are the problem, unless they do a completely new design on them. The main armor, helm, backpacks..those would be non-issues. The arms and tabards are what would worry me. Regardless, I'd like to see them in plastic.

And in addition to all that, give us a decent hairstyle.

I'm convinced that they would have to significantly redesign the Sisters if they were going to do them in plastic.

That's hard to say.

The computerized CAD/CAM technology that GW has allows for some pretty sophisticated shapes.

Plus, look at the old Dark Eldar / Eldar plastic infantry - bump the tech up and Sisters should be doable with a 4-part model (head, body, snap-in gun & backpack).

If they only gave you the freedom to turn the head of an SoB model, what would be the point of converting them to plastic?

I'd imagine that if the cloth under the shoulderpads wasn't solid, it might allow for some freedom of movement of the arms (especially if the shoulders went on separately). Though a ball-socket knee joint would be nice, it's probably asking for entirely too much. A full set of Sabbat helms would be an incredible addition.

Though plastic, posable sisters would probably be one of the hardest units to produce, I really wish that GW would do it.

Plastic models would be 10 for $22 instead of 10 for $40, so more people might actually buy Sisters armies?

And once they're plastic, repositioning isn't very difficult at all.

Top Priority has to be anything that's a troop choice (for any army) that is not currently available in plastic.

I think this list is comprehensive:

Sisters
Grey Knights
Stormtroopers (yes, I know these are coming...)
Legion-specific conversion packs for CSM (like the DA/BT ones)
Eldar Rangers

After that they should look at HQ's SM has a multi-part Captain, CSM have their Terminator Lord, IG are getting plastic command boxes with the new codex and 'Nids have Hive tyrants (Tau get plastic commanders if you don't want special issue wargear, too), but that's it.

Given that every army has to have an HQ, at least one HQ option for every army should be available as a plastic kit.

I'm pretty sure they are metal with few or no options?

I actually enjoy the challenge of converting and putting the large metal kits together, It's a bit of a shame to see them on
their way out.

I do agree on troop types being plastic from a cost/poseability standpoint but I will always miss the heft!

I disagree with those points, I find the wrist-mounted stormbolters and 'froghelms' to be some of the main reasons why the models are so good looking in the first place, and I wouldn't change them at all.

@Chimera Calvin

Took them decades to release decent looking Eldar Rangers and now you want to do away with them and have plastic ones instead?

My personal Eldar preferences would be for a multi-option Autarch and fully plastic Storm Guardians.

For sisters I hope they keep the hair style its their signiture.

I always assumed they wore bullet-proof wigs and had bald and electrode covered heads under there.

Basically, 1 "Default HQ" (Like SM Captain, IG Command Squad, or Tyranid Warriors), all troop options, all Large models and all units that need numbers of 10+ models to even be moderately useful (Like Gargoyles). They should keep a number of Metal HQ's, at least until plastic technology gets that good. This includes models that you need only one or two of, such as Commisars

ohhh... Plastic Wraithguard in a set of ten... maybe even some different poses for them. I'd love that.

(fixed your quote a bit to reflect more factors)

My vote goes to:
Meganobs
Wraithguard
Chaos dread (even though its rules suck)
GK termies
and any metal/plastic hybrid models for vehicles. Vehicle Hybrids are inexcusable nowadays for GW and should all be put out to pasture.

Is there anything that we want to stay metal? I think Special Characters are fine as metal. I think that most HQs/ICs are fine as metal (although, I still think having a generic plastic HQ for each army would be grand, and give lots of bitz for conversions for other models in the army).

Ditto SOB. I'd like to see kroot hounds go plastic. Right now they're one of the Tau's better units but they're just too expensive to use.

Like many have said, HQ choices should be in plastic. I'd appreciate a non-termie chaos lord with parts for wings and diff CC weapons or something, and definately an Ork warboss. Then again, I just kitbashed mine from the WHFB warboss kit, and changed like 2 parts.

IG Cadian Special Weapons, IG Command Squads and commissars need to plastic. There is enough options for them to be warrant a plastic kit.

@John: I beleive GW is making a plastic Steam Tank. I believe there were pics of it at GD Baltimore.

Before I see plastics for GK or SoB, I like to see new codexes first.

Wraithguard definately need plastics. They've been metal since, what, second edition?

There are models in BFG that good definatley benefit from the plastic treatment. Those battleships tip over to easily and cost way to much.
