As you know Sisters share mare similarity with space marines.

But without new codex or new miniature, its hard to say no to the nice
stuff SM has.

Would i be able to field SOB as SM then? if i keep the WYSISYG rule?

I really wanted to make a SOB Redeemer, MORE FLAMER! every sister's dream :3

Might be a cool "counts as" army.

As a super serial army? No. As a proxy, sure.

Still, sisters get a lot of fine toys to play with. I wouldn't discount them yet. Lots of burny things, and plenty of cool comboes thanks to allies.

Hey don't blame us that the typical female body doesn't have enough room in it for all the extra organs. It's all those o.e.(original equipment) organs already in the way.

Marines have sausage but no eggs.

Also, Sisters probably have a better ruleset anyways, so you might as well use that.

Making them all counts-as doesn't sound like it would have much of a point to it.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

Doctor Thunder here built an entire female Space Marine army that was fully converted. I don't have a problem with female Space Marines... for their fluff I would say they came from an alternate universe and crossed over during an anomoly (sp?) during a warp jump. However I would expect the army to be fully converted like Doctor Thunder's Black Widows. It would be a big project but also very cool as Doctor Thunder can tell you.

Sure you can Proxy Sisters for marines as long as your opponent okays but can not do it in any "serious" or "competitive" play. Also why would you want to? Sisters are great

You flatter me. But really, I'm just an ordinary guy. I put my pants on the same way anybody else does: I put a gun to the head of my manservant and bark Russian military commands at him until the poor blighter either figures it out or watches his brains exit his forehead.

No problems with female marines, but I'd think you'd need to heavily convert the figs so they wouldn't be seen by the opponent as a WH army.

If you can track them down, look for Shockforce Battle Nuns. Picture 2nd ed. marines that are female and wearing habits. It works, though they're definitely funky.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

I still say no because every sister model would have to have a big dent in their head to represent the decreased intelligence.

Luna, Have you ever read how a space marine is made? The black carapace?
Some guys fantasize about what it would be like to be a SM. Not me. wouldn't go through that just so I could live for thousands of years as one of the emperors eunuchs. Not on your life would I do that.

Now as a proxy army I agree with the rest.

Which are you asking for, proxy or serious for tournament?

If you can run a Genesteeler Cult using the Ork Codex in a GT, then there shoudn't be a problem with SOB Astartes.

I guess the only real problem is that instead of actually saying they are marines, you are saying they really are the regular Sisters, but with Marine rules... which is more of an excuse than a fluffy plan...

But what do I know, I'm planning on using Steel Legion models as Horrors.

Somewhere in south-central England.

I'm fairly open to the idea.

The main reason not to is that the SoB is already a well known army so lots of players will constantly confuse the SoB/SM as SoB even if you tell them the SoB are proxying as SM.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

As long as you don't try it at a tournament, only the most closed minded wouldn't allow you to do it. Perhaps doing so will cause you to want to start your own 'real' spaz marinez army.. HURR...

It's your hobby, your models and your friends. Don't let us determine what you are going to do with them...

For collectable conversion peices, go for it. Can't wait to see.

Have you considered a combined force, with th WH as the lead. The SMs would take on similar paint accents and you could decorate the dreadnought and redeemer with bits from SoB vehicle spru's
