Is it just me or does something seem off about it proportionally when compared to the actual Rhino model?

THQ clearly watch too much top gear. Was nice to see this puppy in the flesh at GDUK though. Good bit of fun.

I think it's great that built a real-life rhino, but the whole running over cars thing, seems kinda redneck...

Well, what else can you do when you have an armoured tracked vehicle at your disposal?

its nice to see its getting some sort of use and not just sitting on a cement pad in front of some sort of museum.

if they could have built it from the ground up they probably would have gotten it right. Working around an existing frame would make it difficult to get perfect.

rhino wasnt bad, but as mentioned, (and with my additions) it looks tacky.

And it needs a pintle mounted storm bolter. Probably illegal in the UK, but an automatic 12 guage slug thrower on the top would be awesome That would be a fun way to wreck some cars!

I assume like the previous thread showing people building a 'real' rhino this is based on a M113 chassis? In which case you're a bit restricted on the size and dimensions possible, but it looks a fairly good job to me proportion-wise.

Of course it's probably very light which is why it struggles to 'crush' the cars, it mostly drives over them rather than through them.

By the way, I found a website selling Chieftain tanks for £12K apiece. One day I'll have one (or maybe a Centurion) as a gate guard on my house. It'll be a change from the usual garden ornaments.

i want one. I think the tracks are a little on the small side, especially when they retracked with the suspension. All the same pretty cool!

Didn't that happen once at Bovington Tank Museum? They accidently crushed part of a customer's car in the car park, I think there may have been issues with the gearbox and someone unfamiliar with the controls being to blame.

I want one of those very badly. Its probably horrible on gas millage but hey! I would pay if I could only drive a rhino! I don't even care if its not perfect its still a freaking rhino! And im glad to see that even the puny front armor of 11 can do well ramming cars now

The Rhino is still an APC, and APC's are supposed to be lighter than tanks. Heck, in this video the FV432 is so light that it catches a little air going over this car a 2nd time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D461zkoohkw
