Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

I see a lot of people building lists, and talking as if there are going to be US GTs, but I have seen no proof of it. Heck, at this time last year the Vegas GT was sold out.

Has anyone heard from Chris Gogo to give a yes or a no?

If they are not having one, that is good because I will not have to buy any GW items this year since most of my purchases revolve around the GTs.

Contracts are still under negotiation, so I don't want to see anything about dates, times, or locations and give anyone false impressions (that might quickly become facts).

As soon as the contracts are in stone I'm sure we'll be posting the info everywhere we can.

Since said negotiations are taking place above my head, I cannot give a time frame as to how long it might be before we could post something.

Yeah, that event could have a very high number of "Warhammer Widows" actually coming along for the weekend. Cirque de Soleil and the sightseeing may save a few marriages.

In the games workshop newsletter it said there was going to be a GT\Gamesday "thing", whatever it is. Three locations last time i checkec, Chicago, Baltimore and Las Vegas.

All i know is that when i got it, it said Baltimore May 9th, because hopefull that's the one i am going to!

Since I won't be attending Adepticon (*sniff*) the wife and I will try and head out to the Las Vegas GT. That's assuming I can actually get a ticket...

Nonsense, Allan. The LVGT tickets didn't even go on sale until post-Adepticon. (I remember distinctly, as I wasn't planning on going to LV before Adepticon.)

I think he's confusing last year and two years ago. Two years ago GTLV was in May/June.

Is there a different ticket cost if you play in the tourneys vs. not? Is it worth going even if you're not planning on playing in a tourney?

The GT's are now (unless they change again) self-contained tournaments, so if you're not going to play, why would you go? They used to have some of the GT's in conjunction with Games Day, but they've stopped doing that.

The bigger question for me is: What point level is the 40k GT's going to be at? 1750? 1850? Something else?

I'd love to see them go back to 1850 or even 2K. 1750 is a killer for some armies, cause you can't make a good build or a fun army at that level.

100 points can make a big difference and doesn't add much time to the game.

Fantasy went up in points last year. Let's hope 40K does too.

The last couple of years have been 1750. That's what I'm primarily building to, with enough extra to field up to 2000. Course, I think I'm gonna need more models if the IG rumors are true and my IG go down, way down, in points.

I really like the 1850 points level myself, and the indy GT's seem to be adopting that as the points value they use.

Really?

1750 = not fun?
1850 = fun?

I really don't see 100 pts making any difference. Every army can use 100 pts to spend...or spare 100 pts. Frankly I think the 1850 level is just a weird number to settle on. It should either be 1750 or 2000.

Doesn't really matter what tehe points are. Over the years it's been 1500, 1850, 1750, and the one year with sideboards where the entire army was 2250. Hehehehe, one year the GW guy in charge joked that he was gonna make 1631 or some such ridiculous number, just to mess with people. Regardless, I'll still have fun!!
