I've liked the background of the Exorcists for a long time, and now we've expanded our blog (Tales from the Maelstrom) I've got the perfect excuse to knock out a squad. I've stripped and re-painted some of my light conversion for this. Enjoy

The axe has plasticard added to it, then blended with a file. I love the Red Scorp heads, pity it's difficult to get them on their own

Here is a heavy tank that I'm working on at the moment, not sure what to use it for currently. As soon as I decide what detailing I want I can get on with it, probably end up with an Inquisitor and the above marines.

no no! more iconography would clutter the model. i think maybe a small I would be enough as it clearly denotes the inquisition.

but im sure if you paint the tank in muted tones and then had the I very bright silver (blue ink washed perhaps?) it would draw the eye to it.

Puting track covers on that would only ruin that unique look.

I honistly dont think you need any more on that tank, IMO it looks freakin' scweeeet! looks almost like some sort of speedy landraider being all streamlined and the such.
I agree tho that maybe 1 or 2 Inquisitorial symbols need to be added somewhere...and remember less is more!

I wish, nah... the pieces that make up this project are all bits that have been lying around for ages. The Marcharius bits are from a conversion I did for a friend that involved a L/R, so I got the MKIIB bits as it comes as an almost full kit with a choice of doors thrown in. I'm undecided as to whether to just give it H/Bolters or some other armament, I've got to add some Inq symbols at some point too.

][munda is (for our group) consists of GM'd games of Necromunda (see http://jerikoreach.blogspot.com/ ) including all sorts of crazy Rogue Trader and 2nd Ed stuff, like Robots!

Appologies for my ignorance ...... but is the tank staying Siver as IMO it looks unfinished (As I was stupidly expecting it to be Red or Black !!!) ?

The tank is staying silver based, though there is a lot of details and highlighting to be picked out yet. The base silver is a darkened boltgun metal with chaos and badab blacks added into the mix.

The reason I have them silver is so that I can use my vehicles between my Exo's and Space wolves. I have most of the different FW Land Raiders and don't have time/funds to do vehicles for both. Lazy yes, but saves me a load of money...well maybe not as I'm buying a FW Tau suit army...

How are you doing/where are you getting the Exorcist shoulder pads?

I have the shoulder pads from back in the strange days when you could order anything you wanted. So I got 20 of the chaos marine biker shoulder pad 2, which you can't get any more I believe. If you want one, pm me and I'll see what I can do

I have an aim to do a small force of Exorcists as an example 'Chamber Militant' for a Radical Malleus Inquisitor.

Friggin sweet. I agree those helms are nice but a serious pain to get ahold of.

The tank looks sweet, especially with the smoke exhausts. The red could use a small lighter highlight to break up the darkness of it, but otherwise it's awesome!

Love the tank and the marines. The exausts are awsome. Great work. I didn't know those heads existed. I might have to get some now. Overall great work.

That's how these lot started, I now have 1500 pts or so made up and about half painted. All the marines are in mk4 or mk6 armor, I will get pics when I return from holiday Some more of the better pics that have been waiting to go up.

They seem to be coming along well.

That Landraider type tank looks like it would out-accelerate a falcon grav-tank!

They look absolutely fantastic!

Only two little things that I don't like (sorry).
1. The plasma gun on the back of the axe model- doesn't add anything unfortunately.
2. By all means have a silver tank, but it needs to be seriously darkened down IMO.

Those are really cool looking. Those subtle details like the shoulder pads and the helmets are very cool. Great work man

The paint scheme is good even though i ahd never seen that chapter before and the early pictures are quite low res

They look great. Also i agree with CadianXV darken down that tank.
