Of all the regiments that you think should be redone into plastic or forgeworld, which would it be? I personally say that I would like Valhallans, because no other regiment really comes from an iceworld, other than Vostroyans, but their world is more or less a polluted winter wonderland.

Steel Legion, Mordian Iron Guard or Praetorians. Its too hard to choose.

I would put valhallans up there. Also mordians would be fun, or tallerns, I would love to start a ww2 desert fighter themed army.

As plastic? DKoK, hands down.

They should go with a generic greatcoat regiment and offer Valhallan/Steel Legion/etc upgrade packs either through GW direct bitz or specific command squads.

My personal preference would be Valhallans first though, great models and their inspiration fits the mold of the generic IG perception.

Tanith first and only, Death Korps of Kreig.

i would love to see mordians in plastic.

I'm a pretty big fan of all of them except mordian and praetorians. I cant stand the dress uniforms. all the other regiments have a place in my army, Cadians as main troops catachians as conscripts, and if i ever get enough time or money valhalans as penal and vostroyan and/or sleel legion as vets.

Yeah, I agree. I love the idea of the Mordians, though their uniforms aren't the utilitarian that I love.

Also, does anyone have any Praetorian fluff? I can't find any in the new or old Dex that I have.

Tallarns need some love. Their minis could be better.

Mordians would be neat but without Close-Order Drill and such they'll be harder to represent.

Elysians are a great choice with the new Valkyries out. May play better with a few special rules.

Valhallans would go to plastic wonderfully because many people could base regiments on greatcoated models.

I agree several regiments cold be covered by just making generic great coats and just seporately selling appropriate heads

That would be awsome, though i dont know if i would go Valhalians or steel legion. both are cool. It would be nice too see some tank commanders other than cadians.

DKoK would be wicked in plastic. I'm 50/50 on Tanith, because GW will most likely ruin their amazing background.

Generic great coats for Death Korps, Steel Legion, Valhallans.

Generic light infantry for Catachans, Tanith First and Only.

Valhallan or Traitor Guard , simply becouse I dont have it in me to convert the regular once into Traitor Guard , and Valhallans are cool

Maybe we should send an E-Mail to GW, seeing as they are re-doing all the Space marine chapters, they could make a Cron or Dark Eldar codex, then re-invent those regiments!!!

It would be pretty sweet to have (like the space marines) a codex for several different regiments. Though i am a big fan of making my own regiment so i can have several different looking troops from each regiment in my army.

Yeah, though I have seen that no one wants the Squats back.

Hmmm, I think that if GW does a new race in the future, it should be Renegade Guard, and maybe a few sets that are like the Space wolf box.

Steel legion/Valhallan combined kit, Praetorian/Mordian combined kit. Head swaps and accessories and it's all good in the hood.

Yeah. Though I think that if we were to make and produce a set like that, we'd be rich in days.

Steel Legion/Valhallan would be a terrible "combined kit", if only because you'd have finnicky extensions to the fieldcoats on that Steel Legion models.

Steel Legion/Vostroyan I could see, with simple head and shoulder differences.

As for the regiment I want to see in plastic?

Simple.

Mordians should be done in plastic first as a tester. Hell, they could just use the Tank Commnder torso, sculpt a head, some formal-looking legs, and sets of arms with Epaulettes instead of shoulderpads. Bam. Mordians. Done.

If they wanted to add an upgrade kit after that, my vote would be for the "Greatcoat Guardsmen" kit with a choice of an additional Cold Weather or Wasteland addons kit.

Nah. Mordians and Praetorians should be left to rot. They were joke armies that got out of hand, just like squats.

Vostroyans take their place in the current line for a "ceremonially garbed" army--and make it actually work, for both form and function.

I personally think the Vostroyans look like complete trash. They just seem like Steampunked Valhallans. IMHO, they're something that should've been left on the drawing board. I like the clean-cut look of Mordians, and I think they'd make good Command Squad bodyguards or a platoon of Elite Palatial Guard.

Praetorians were definately silly though. Some people like them. I personally think they're up with the Vostroyans for "Over-The-Top Goofiness"
