I was a bit annoyed that the game was only fire-fight and campain.

Yeah but you get the halo 3 full multiplayer.

Should have been clearer, Im replacing it tomorow, take it back and get another one.

The same thing happened with my Gears disk, Im gonna get the scratches removed (Even though there are none) It might help.

cause i used to have prblems with disk scarcthing and a gamestope employee told me if that is the case then your lens will pop out and scarcth the disk.

i think that you had to preorder it for the reach demo.
same with the sergeant johnson playable character.

From what everyone tells me its just another halo game, very little innovation... thus imma pass on this one. I was never a big fan of the Halo games, they're fun with friends, but thats all.

funny thing is, i stepped on my halo 3 disc thismorning (Doh!)
So now i have to uy ODST, not only so i can play multi again, but i might aswell pay an extra £10 for a new one with more maps and a new campaign lol.

Vidmaster challenges: Seem somewhat too easy, making the previous ones look impossible.
There is possibly 1 that will take over an hour, but once again, its finishing a level on legendary with iron on, on live lol.
So, by the weekend i should have my recon armour XD

For those of you who are not in the loop: With the new game there is once more a rare armour being released / uncovered.
Bungie has now confirmed this a few times, yet will not reveal how its obtained or any details of its looks.

So all in all: Everyone can now get recon, but theres a new "recon" in town

Also, for those playing tournaments, there should be a huge one comming up soon, snipedown, phurion and fluxy are taking part, so there is some serious challenge here from some of the top players in the world
Also, a few bungie staff will be taking part in this, yet gametype is yet to be certain.
However, due to the new playlists added its sure to be one of those, or based around them.

Also, the Reach beta invite is included on the disk. All you need is any version of the game. When the beta is out (2010 I believe) you can access it via the "extras" menu.

I will probably buy it second hand in a couple of months. I might wait for the Halo 3 levels to come out on DLC and then not bother with ODST until it comes down to about £15 or so second hand.

Not hugely fussed about it to be honest, though will get it eventually.

Yes, they have said this also, but this was directed at the origional halo 3 disc.
New maps have been added via the ODST disc, along with some new goodies aswell, also, multiplayer ODST (basic halo) is played on the ODST disc instead of the standard halo 3 disc, meaning that the coding of the origional is invalid now, the ODST can include whatever it wants, depending on what content was added when designing the game.

I got it yesterday and played through it on legendary with a friend until we beat it. Over all I really enjoyed ODST, I liked the way then handled it, and the story wasn't too bad.

The new guns were great, and they only ones they seemed to have taken out are the Blue Plasma Rifle, the BR, the H3 Magnum and the H3 SMG, the later three replaced by the Supressed SMG and Magnum respectively.

If you so chose part of the story mode can be played through Pulp Fiction style by going to the objectives out of order and getting different pieces of the story at different times.

I'm totally enjoying the campaign mode so far... haven't tried Firefight yet... I might try it this weekend. I love going around exploring the map between flashbacks... I've gotten maybe a third or more of the audio files.

Played firefight with a friend last night (the only way it should be played) and it was a lot of fun, despite our constant bitching about the tilt and famine skulls.

Many laughs were had at the 10-kill-spree medal for the hammer, "dreamcrusher".

so far im not decided. i havent completed the campaign yet. I tried a solo attempt at the firefight and didnt last long. Im enjoying it but it does feel like a poor version of halo.

I got a little confused by the names you listed, mainly because I have never seen Firefly. So, here are the actual actor's who voice acted.

I gave in and ordered it the other day. I only really want it for the final 3 Halo 3 maps.

Bit annoyed that all the other maps I have already paid for on DLC are supplied with the game, but hey... at least I have a backup of them, and can probably use the disc to give them to my brother when he finally gets his bum on live so I can shoot him.
