But here are the new Wolf Guard Terminator sprues! Just got my box yesterday. These are front and back pictures, just in case you were hoping there were ten models in the box.

The assault cannon has an ammo feed to a rear ammo case, which is my favourite detail.

Mixed with bits from the standard termy kits, this should allow a _lot_ of modelling options.

I'm very tempted to do a LoganWing/WolfWing army as I love the small elite army concept, but am waiting to see some tactical discussion after people have had time to play with the new codex. At least now i don't have to worry about all the squads looking the same.

I also looked at the ammo feed on the assault cannon, looks awesome and more realistic. but the actual cannon looks smaller or is it just me?

Belt fed Assault Cannons. Lightning Claws that are actually Lightning Claws, not spiked Lightning Knuckles. Dynamic posing with heaps of individual shoulder pads and head types.


The advances GW has made in plastics remains a double-edged sword. We can look at the great new Wolf Guard Termies and go "Wow! Those are awesome!" and then stop to think "Damn, if only the normal Termies were that good".

One left handed Stormbolter...

Maybe I'm just missing something, but as far as I can tell those are all right-handed. I'm going to stop looking now because I presume it was a joke.

EDIT: Okay, got home to my sprues and there is a left hander... pity you can't take two by the rules eh?

This really makes the basic Terminator squad box feel lacking.

Has anyone else noticed the one helmetless head that looks like Paul Senior from American Chopper? It's also in the painting tutorial in the recent White Dwarf. Makes me want to do a custom Lukas as Mikey

Yep they are strictly limited edition and GW will not produce anymore once every box has been sold

Seriously though that is a nice kit, I opted to buy the Space Wolves pack instead of these, but these will be on my list for next month!

Getting the ammo belt to line up was an exercise in futility, and I have left them a 'link' apart so that I can greenstuff in. Just FYI.

The more I look at the sprue pictures the less I want them actually.

I really love the SW rules, but I really really hate all the fur, useless trinkets and dead animal parts hanging from the models' crotches. I still don't understand how, as an aspiring Space Wolf, you become "the man" if you kill a wolf as part of your initiation, considering you live in a galaxy full of far more dangerous and prestigeous monstrocities. Go kill a the local Catachan Devil's cousin with your excess facial hair and then come back to talk. That is just my personal taste/opinion of course.

Maybe if someone at the store wants to trade me 3 normal Terminator legs for the 3 Wolf Guard ones that are useless to me I'd reconsider.

Nicely sculpted, but not really that into Space Wolves this time around because of the general daftness of the Codex.

Even though I have a personal hatred for Space Puppies, I might get some of thier stuff for the bitz. Good lord the bitz. I hope this becomes a trend with GW to make new plastic with a mind blowing amount of bitz.
