I always get everything I order from them quickly and efficiently with no problems.

However, don't go by my experiences, as apparently I'm the only person on this board that FW doesn't seem to screw over. Or I'm the only person that doesn't bitch about them and everyone else with good experiences never feels the need to speak up when others share their horror stories.

Delivery, yes, mostly.

Production quality not so much.

Production Quality? 50% miscast rate.
Customer Service? 100% terrible.

Good luck.

No, all FW stuff I've heard of has arrived safely and intact, all though they can take upwards of a fortnight to get to you.

I've ordered from FW a few times. I live in the US.

The shipping time was 3-4 weeks. Maybe a hair less.

The quality - very iffy. Every vehicle door I've ordered has been very warped. Most of the other pieces also had some manner of defect - pits, thick mold lines, etc etc. The Brass Etch I ordered had some serious tarnish on some parts. I contacted customer service asking about what the recommend to remove the tarnish, they never bothered to respond in any way.

For the price, I'm quite disinclined to order from them again - but that new ork mega dread, ugh. It's sorely tempting.

Somewhere.

Bear in mind that there is currently a postal strike yet again, and so Forge World stuff will get there slower than usual.

Personally, in my previous orders the only problem has been the wait. Both customer service and model quality was good. And they replace damaged parts quickly and without argument, since my Vanquisher barrel had snapped during transit. However, I've only ordered from them a few times, and always rang...I understand a lot of the problems with customer service are from e-mailing them.

I will say that newer kits are better than older kits, so some level of investment has gone into making the more recent moulds better.

I'd say the speed is a little slow and the quality is definitely variable.

I bought a Black Legion dreadnaught with all the different arms and there were a few small issues with the casts and it took a few weeks for them to send it all out.

I've also bought a few sets of rhino doors and their Death Guard and World Eaters kits and they had no problems and were dispatched fairly swiftly.

I'd say it's variable but not horrible.

FW molds only last for about ten to twenty casts, then they're done away with and new ones are to be made. Though from the look of some stuff they're pushing it beyond that from time to time.

Only ordered from them once. Order for a couple of hundred pounds (don't know if size of order is important), and ordered wednesday night and it arrived friday morning and I live in Denmark, so was very impressed. Faster than many regular danish webshops...

This. I live in japan so I really can't understand why brits and yanks get stuff late...

As if on cue, you hear two people singing from the stairwell, and the door is opened and a pair of very smelly, very dirty guardsmen stumble in, completely drunk, and covered in vomit, and immediately collapse unconsious on the porch. You drag them to their beds, realising that they will not be waking up for some time.

Iv ordered quite a few things from them, yea it did take a while to get to me, but it had to cross the pond and the US so it was expected. All the parts have always looked fine, save for a small hole on my deathwind drop pod that causes one of the doors to fall off, some simple pinning is all it needed.

Everything else was perfect, even the original Valkyrie, which I would always hear horror stories about.

I've never had any problems with Forge World, barring a slightly miscast door for a Heavy Bolter Pillbox.

I haven't ordered too much from them though, so I'm not the best person to judge FW by

I plan on ordering some BA doors for my new SM army sooner or later, so here's hoping those are ok.

Never had any real problems. One wing of a vulture was warped slightly, but it bent back into shape easily.

Personally, I find the delivery times to be on the slow side, but nothing too horrific. The good thing is that, as an established branch of GW, chances are they won't take your money and run.

I have ordered from them twice, very large orders on both ($800 and $1100, respectively).

Delivery was fast. About a week to get to the US. The $1100 did have some back order parts, and they came about a week later.

I had no miscasts in either order that were not easily fixed with files or a little heat. I have not even needed putty, and most required no gap filling. No Land Raider doors I ordered have been warped.

I have not had to contact Customer Services so I have no experience there.

My only complaint is the ungodly SMALL pieces some sculpts have. They are nigh-impossible to get off the sprue, and just slightly MORE impossible to attach. Look at the Khorne Daemon Prince with Herald. Guess how many pieces the Prince is. THIRTY-fething-SIX. Including most of the little teeth sticking out of gauntlets and shoulder pads.

That is my complaint of Forge World.

Had great response from FW. I've had some issue in the distant past with model quality but nothing in years. They ship relatively quick to me, inside of 2 weeks. Only complaint I could raise is they do not respond to emails. You do have to call them.

I've place probably a dozen orders from FW. All arrived within three weeks. A couple of them come a bit quicker. I've never had a missing part or gross miscast. I've had some of the typical holes and bubbles though. I should point out though that my orders have been mostly for the small stuff: rhino doors, dreadnought arms etc.

3-5 days to my door in the usa...
But I very seldomly put in an order Under 250gbp so I always get free express shipping.

Had no problems except when Apoc came out and every thing was back ordered for months.

Older models are really starting to show age ( Thunder hawk) while new stuff has been excellent casts (Reaver , vracks and new IG).

Don't email them , since you will never hear back from them best to call... even though they 98/100 times get the on-line orders correct.

Other than not answering the emails .... the customer service is top notch.

The long waits for some is usually not due to FW but rather over zealous Customs agents. There are some exceptions though ( friend got Anphelion base the (big one) and it took 9 months for it to get cast and shipped to the usa)

Yeah. If you look at the 360 degree view, all the teeth on the Prince's Left Arm Gauntlet and Right Shoulder pad are all SEPARATE.

I didn't even realize they were pieces looking at the sprues at first. And let me tell you how easy they were to get off those sprues without destroying them.
Despite these complaints, it is still an AMAZING model, and I like it sitting on my shelf. Eventually it will get painted.

I think my biggest complaint of Forge World is that sometimes you can't tell the sprue from a connecting tab, and accidentally lop off the tab, only to curse later when something can't go on straight or very securely.

Instruction leaflets could also be a wee bit more clear on that. I remember shaving off too much from the ammo feeds for my Vulture Punishers. Nothing GS can fix but still. Oh well, no lasting harm done.

Seems to me that FW is the rather badly run division of GW. I've not had a major problem with the few dealings I've had, though my DKOK did take a good few weeks to arrive. But they do strike me as being unprofessional, though I'm sure they don't mean to be. GW pride themselves on their customer service, and it rarely can be faulted with the main company regardless of the other complaints customers have. FW seem to be their underfunded sideline. They are slow to process orders, they send out miscast pieces and they don't respond to queries. It's simply not good enough.

FW seems to have a pretty good turnover but GW don't invest in them, though they do constantly push their products in WD. If they can't keep up with casting the orders and handling customers then they shouldn't be taking so many on at a time. GW should invest seriously and put more staff and resources into FW. It obviously makes money but it seems little better than a couple of guys running it from their shed. I've no doubt that the people working on the FW line are enthusiastic in their work, their models always go that extra distance in detail and interest. But they also seem over pressured by the parent company to meet an ever growing demand (especially with Apocalypse) for which they can't adequately cope.
