My wife is in school to get her 2nd degree, this one in Pyschology. The focus of her studies is on gamers, specifically on non-computer gamers. Something that, suprisingly, there is little to no pre-existing data on. So if you could click on the below link and take the survey it would be greatly appreciated.

Serious answers only please as non-sensical answers will result in us having to throw out your entire survey.

http://sites.google.com/site/drurygamingsurvey/

*note my wife is a gamer as well and as such is not going into this with any negative bias, this is a oppurtunity to shed some positive light on our hobbies.

Thanks

Having issues with the positioning on the page so can't see the full questions or select the boxes. Will have a look on my home PC later, might be IE related.

She will be working on this for quite some time. She is hoping to make this her Doctorate thesis, so the study will most certainly be published. And proud husband that I am I will most certainly post a link here.

Grabbed firefox off a game cover disc and it was fine, filled in.

Okies had to modify my total spending to dollars as I thought that would be better than noted it in pounds, but I think its pretty accurate.

Nice survey though.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Done, though I think the distinction between computer gaming and other types of gaming could be a little clearer in some questions.

Otherwise very good.

Not that I'm going to do so, but wouldn't nonsensical answers received say a lot about the psychology of gamers?

On question #9, the amount of money I've spent on gaming, I made a very rough estimate. I really have no idea how much money I've spent on gaming stuff in the past 20+ years.

Done though guessing at gaming costs over 20+ years is damn near impossible =)

Very interesting. Completed and submitted.

Gaming cost is a pretty hard one to guesstimate as well as others have said. Especially when you have started, quit, and played many different non-video games

Ditto. My dad got me into modelling and playing games from the age of 5 or 6. I've not got a clue how much I've spent over the years, hell I can't even remember some of the stuff I've bought.

Too young. :(

Cheese Elemental-Love does not bloom in 40k. Love burns. It gets turned inside out, set on fire, raped, shot with bolters, and beaten with a crowbar.

Done. I think I haven't fully understand all the questions, but I guess that the result is fairly near to the truth

I don't know how much I've spent in 14 years of gaming. And I don't want to look for my calculator LOL

The bit on how much I spent wasn't so hard, as I have extra coverage in my home insurance to cover it. At least it wasn't until I tried to think back on all the stuff I no longer have, and the previous questions indicated I might want to add the video gaming stuff as well. If it includes that, I probably could have doubled it easily.
