heres the first part of history of Primarch

The Child
The Black Hornets have the honour and the privilege of being the second legion created by the Emperor. Like the other Primarch, Blurness Hurr was lost to the warp in his infancy scattered by the Chaos gods. He later appeared on the world Melderis Prime. There he was found by some crystal miners he had been crystallized in Hornet crystal (Black Hornets have stingers with venom and can squirt venom so strong that it can melt rock then cool down and create a crystallized substance when melted and mixed with the systems specialty metal it becomes living metal that grows the prized substance of the sector and locally worshiped). They chipped him out of the crystal and he was alive but had accumulated lots of stings and squirts from Black Hornets, which was amazing because one drop of Hornet venom can kill a full grown man. They thought him a miracle child sent by their primitive gods as was foretold in legend. So they brought him back to the nearest military outpost.
Now the natives of Melderis Prime where primitive in some ways like there obsession with their primitive gods but technology wise and medicine wise are very adapt etc. Melderis Prime is in the Quadra a sector that has 13 planets and 1 sun. The other planets in the system are pretty much the same in all aspects other than terrain (tundra, jungle, and etc.). The Quadra sector is surrounded by warp storms impassible to all the only way in or out is through the Ten Spiral Warp Gate so had very little contact with the Imperium and almost impossible to find.
The miners brought the child to a military outpost and the outpost captain saw it was an infant that had been stung many times and was amazed also so he called his commanding officer. The officer thought that the planets governor needed to know about this so arranged for the governor and the court to meet the child. The governor was not a stupid man and did not believe common beliefs and religion. But still he and the court was amazed also so out of political interest (and out of his on curiosity) took him as his adoptive son for the masses to see their leader respecting the local legend and such.
The governor’s name was Curness Durr at first he did not like the child other than his celebrity with the masses. But after a few years the child started to grow on (and grow he did) him and soon loved him as a true son…

The Child From The Stars

The Black Hornets have the honour and the privilege of being the II Legion of The Emperor of Mankind’s Astartes. They were sired from the genetic material of their Primarch and Gene Father, Blurness Hurr.

Like his brother Primarchs, Blurness Hurr was lost to the warp in his infancy. He and his brothers were stolen away and scattered by the Chaos gods in a bid to rob the Emperor of his greatest works. The young Primarchs, through fate or cosmic design would each find themselves on pre-inhabited worlds to which they would rise to power upon and then saved by the father The Emperor. Hurr was no different, as his capsule came to rest on the human colony of Melderis Prime.

Melderis Prime is part of the Quadra A sector in what is now known as the Segmentum Pacificus. It circled a yellow dwarf star similar in many respects to Terra, and had twelve other astral bodies it counted as its siblings. Interestingly, several of these worlds shared an atmosphere and climate capable of supporting human life. A quirk in the gravitational pull of Quadra’s star meant that many of the worlds were incredibly close and allowed the colonists of Melderis to forge a small and thriving localised alliance.

Melderis Prime itself is interesting in its primary export: Melderian Crystals. These crystals are highly valued in the Quadra sector for their metallurgical properties. When smelt with various metals, Melderian Crystals give a malleable, almost mercury like substance. It is incredibly easy to forge with, and allowed advanced mechanics to be built quickly and efficiently. An accidental boon of the process is the fact that this new metal hardens almost 237% under exposure to heat and physical trauma, and can be used to craft fine armours that are light and easy to wear, but harden when under assault. Which is commonly known as Horem.

However, Melderian Crystals do not form naturally like most minerals, and are actually created by the world’s major predator species: The Melderian Black Hornet. Roughly the size of a large dog, the Hornets are a hive based insectoids species adapted to hunting and living in Melderis peaks and rocky valleys. To aid in hunting and self defence, the Hornet (much like its prehistoric Terran counterpart) has developed highly toxic venom which it delivers via a large serrated stinger located in the abdomen. A small drop of this venom (roughly about 2 – 3 droplets) can easily kill a full grown healthy man, with each sting delivering enough to slay a whole colony of people. An interesting evolutionary trait of the Hornet is that it constantly produces this venom, even to the point of filling up its venom sacs. In such occurrences, the Hornet is known to wipe its stinger on nearby rocks and stones, depositing its excess venom onto them. The venom alters the stones at a molecular level, creating the famous Melderian Crystal.

It is the miners of these crystals that would eventually happen upon the infant Primarch. The young boy was partially encased in Melderian Crystals and surrounded by the corpses of five of the vicious hornets. After freeing the child, the miners were delighted to discover that not only was he alive, but entirely healthy as well. His body was covered in many pale scars and sting marks, suggesting the boy had been stung several times by the hornets. The miners instantly fell to their knees before the child, and began praying in fervent tones much to the amusement of the young boy. To survive in the wild against the much dreaded hornets was surely a miracle indeed, and one that spoke of great prophecy.

Although Melderis had maintained a high level of technology during Old Night, it’s spiritual identity could only be described as primeval. The people of Melderis believed in an ancient creator God known Melderon, the Father of All who crafted the universe and its peoples, and who would one day send his son to guide his chosen people to the mythical Promised Land. The miners fully believed that this Child could very well be their salvation, and brought him back to their largest colony, Gabion.

The people of Gabion were amazed and delighted at the story of the Child, and people came from all over the colony to witness the Immortal Child. The religious leader of the Outpost, Curness Hurr, came to the child and decreed that he was indeed the Child that his people had been awaiting. To that end he took the boy in as his own, at first out of sheer religious duty but after several years he eventually loved him as his own son. However, things were soon to changed for Blurness Hurr and his adopted people…

I'm not sure you're going to attract the best attention by claiming that your guys belong to a whole Legion. You should probably make them a chapter of one of the foundings. (maybe 2nd as a lot of records pertaining the father legions were lost at that time.) It's just that the whole cool thing about the unkown legions is that they were unknown, as was thier fate. And that a lost legion were basically hornet marines?

I dunno know, mate. This backround just seems a bit...'out there'.

It's fine to claim that you're guys are a chapter...perhaps even descended from one of the lost legions (you'd need a good, no nosense storyline to make that work). However, claiming that your guys ARE a whole legion is a bit much.

You can claim to be any chapter becuase there are thousands of them. However, there were only two lost legions. (BTW, if the Imperium had another legion at the ready they would be winning pretty easily.)

I -think- (it's really hard to make sense of your posts) you're saying there're still 2 Legions in existance.

This is not true. There are no Loyalist Legions in existance anymore. They've been divided up into Chapters. One Legion may well be a full Traitor Legion of 10,000 Marines, but there isn't even one whole Loyalist Legion in existance. It is assumed, however, that at least a portion of both Legions turned Traitor or suffered some worse fate.

In the HH books, there is a scene in which Rogal Dorn discusses the two lost Legions. The exchange that supports this goes something like "It would've been two more" to which the reply of "They are lost to us now" was given, implying that something happened to the bulk of those two Legions, though there may have been enough brethren left over from whatever disaster befell them to make at least a few Chapters after the Heresy.

So EF is right in that a whole Legion of bee-marines isn't fluffy, because there are NO Legions left in the service of the Imperium, and claiming that your Chapter is the Parent Chapter (Aka previously a Legion) would raise a lot of hackles. However, that's not to say that you can't claim they're a Chapter created from one of the missing Legions, as he also suggested.

As well, the Legion was a MILLION strong at one point? Sorry, but there's far fetched, and then there's throwing the ball clear out of the park. 12,000 would be a good, solid "Prime Strength" number, but considering every Legion had, at a peak, roughly 15K Marines, give or take a few hundred or thousand, one million in one Legion is blowing fluff utterly out the window.

So the error of being a Legion, and their (excessively unbelievable) numbers through history, aside, the only other issue I have is with their Lord's name. "Blurness Hurr" just makes me want to say it in that stereotypical brain bamage voice. It's just a really silly name IMHO, and not exactly one that I'd want to remember as my leader if I were one of these guys. I would consider asking about alternative names, because 'Blurness Hurr' will probably make these guys get a tad snorted at.

Well i have to say the lore is not that bad. The Largest Legion was the Ultramarines and that was 250,000. Sry guy above me your wrong on some parts. But still I have to say this to this legion, Names are everything in this game.

For Instance you cannot name a Land Raider Pink Delicous (Even though that would be the best tank ever) and give it complete bad ass history. In 40k really bad chapters are called Tratiors look at the RainBow Warriors what happened to them? Well they were wiped out for having a symbol of a unicorn. (THEY DO EXIST!)

Plus the chapter needs to have a reasons why it has not turned traitor. Other Wise this chapter/legion is great. But Lower your numbers to at least below 150,000 because 1 million is beyond large that is pretty much 4x times bigger than the ultramarines legions and they were the largest legion.
The Smallest legion was the Salamanders 10,000. The Usual amount is around 100,000. But considering the hersey that number jumped down to 20,000 for most chapters. But except in the case of the Imperail fists who had 20,000 but then jumped down to 2,500.

You can see the massive steps it has taken for any space marine legion to even rebuild after the hersey. It is a good thing that the legions were broken up, but also a bad thing. Very few chapters do not follow the codex astrates that includes my Chapter,
But still improve on history.

Please use structure. Helpful posts aren't helpful if people can't read them. Separating paragraphs goes a long way to improve readability.

Ultramarines had 250K? Hm. That's actually interesting - where did you read that? I can't say I ever saw that as a confirmed number anywhere, including a quick check on Lexicanum.

Rainbow Warriors did not use the Unicorn as their symbol. It was a Lightning Bolt with wings:


The "Legions" are also not 'rebuilding' as you believe. They were split, permanently, into Chapters of roughly 1,000 Marines each. Some, like the Black Templars, have said "Feth That Noise" and increased their Chapter strength to (at last record) 6000, but they have not done this without many attempts by the Inquisition to declare them Excommunicate. They are currently believed to be the largest Chapter in existance, however the fact that they're spread across the Imperium in small "Crusade" forces means that those 6000 are hardly considered a united Chapter anyway.

well remember they had 21 foundings in the second founding. and they lost 2,000 space marines agianst the alpha legion and alot of them at a calth.

Well yeah i know they aren't rebuilding but still many chapters lost their numbers during the horus hersey. the only viritually untouched were the ultramarines. But they did fight the Word Bearers.

Right, 21 Foundings equals 21 Chapters of 1000 each (Again, give or take a few marines per Chapter)

They sustained moderate losses by -Marine- standards, though Calth was nothing next to Isstvan V. So 20-something thouand sounds like a much more accurate number for the Ultramarines as a Legion. And that's what I'm getting at. There would never be a Legion of a million Space Baldies.

basicly my primarch goes Mad and does a masive recreating/cloning of gene-seed and clones marines untill he has that number he hides it from other legions and emperor and tells hores and olmost turnes traitor but then theres a massive battle between Demons and my Legion practicly all are killed and then they delet themselves from imperial records and uses a physic wav to wipe out memory of them from people besides Primarchs and Emperor

i understand that its confuising but its GOING EVENTULY to be explained
