Um... I would assume a Chaos Sorcerer of Tzeentch of some kind. Looks like he's sporting four arms too. Pretty cool fig IMHO.

Just got the email myself.

Cool. I think the head could be better, but it's still a pretty nice mini. Definitely very Chaotic.

Umm, unless I missed something, isn't this year due to be a 40k mini?

To be honest the model just seems very bland.

You're missing the point of it. Chaos isn't spiky guys with XBAWKS HUEG pauldrons and Sauron armour, it's supposed to be a bunch of loony guys worshipping the forces that threaten to destroy the world.

if I was playing WOC I'd convert a model before buying that.

At least he's not a Space Marine. imo, it looks fine, but not really the usual Gamesdays 'wow'-factor.

He oozes something alright.

as a veteran chaos player, i like it. not 100% sold on the position of the right arm, but it fits the barbarian sorceror meddling with dark powers theme. I can also see it fitting well with the old chaos cultists i've got lying around somewhere.

Considering the wonderful lord on jugger, the slaanesh champion and special character...

This boy is a poor addition indeed.

Chaos is ALL about XBAWKS HUEG Pauldrons and Sauron armour, Heretic! (I'm kidding, i'm kidding, it's a joke. )

Anyway, I'm in two minds about this one-on the one hand, the cloak, chestplate and book are v.nice in my opinion. On the other, the Head is positively dire. Gets a 'maybe' from me.

This concept could've been realized so much better.

The model looks pretty naff to me.

Dont like the pose , dont like the proportions , dont like the bracelet , dont like the ring on his horn ( its just weird to put something on horns that usually grow )

Long story short , Dave Thomas is better at making

They should do a Chaos Octopus and have it with a load of human arms coming out of it and a big book of forbidden love.

I like the belly plate with eyed star, but thats about it.

I actually really like that- it seems like the sorcerer is blessing the warriors before battle, rather than a huge guy with a sword.

I also think they've done a good job expressing subtle tzeenthian themes; his horns are in the shape of the tzeenth symbol, the eye coming out of his hand is a nice flourish, his skin is multi-layered and broken, and the subtle introduction of extra arms shows the mutating power of chaos without having a tentacle for a head.

So I'm going against the grain and saying that IMO its a good representation of a Chaos sorcerer.

It's not awful, but it's very meh. Just doesn't thrill me.

meh its a "nice" model but i think it could be better for the SUPER AWESOME GAMESDAY WE MADE!!!! (by cancelling out chicago >=[ )

I think it'll look good in my LatD army.
