Very salient point.

So...

You two are complaining about the lack of complaining because it isn't a Space Marine?

OK.

You forgot the part about where this is the internet. But yes, you are correct.

In other news, I think it is a pretty nice figure and I will have no problems adding it to my WoC collection. I might see about getting more for the conversion possibilities. I mean, anyone who hasn't imagined something in his right hand just is not thinking.

I would like to see a mounted sorcerer in the near future, but that is for another thread.

Just as there are praises, there will naturally be complaints.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

No, we were pointing out that people complain about the model no matter what it is, at least that's what I got out of it and what I meant when I chimed in. People are complaining "not another Fantasy Chaos mini" but even when GW does a mini that is in their most popular range, Space Marines, they get a ton of complaints on forums about that. It's a no-win situation for them with some people. If they do a range other than Space Marines they get complaints about the model being of marginal interest and the like, if they do Space Marines then a vocal part of the forum crowd will complain they are bored and want something else. Given the popularity of most Games Day models, it's likely a vocal minority that does the complaining, but that small part of the fan base is extremely vocal.

yeah,
I think the mini is very nice but Two WHFB GD minis in a row!? There isn't much the can be done with this guy in 40k...So again I'm not interested. I think with some love he could be squeezed into a traitor guard army?

meh...

I think he was made for the beasts of chaos codex... Then he didn't fit in... not beasty enough?
So they decided to use him as a easy out for next years gamesday mini...

Also the preview seems a bit premature. I wonder why they are showing this guy so soon?

Panic.....

This miniature makes me sad, is this the best GW can really do? Fail...

Pretty weak sauce. If they hadn't given it the special "Games Day" restricted/limited edition cachet, then it just wouldn't have sold in the numbers they need models to sell to justify wall space.

I just don't get it! Explain it to me John! EXPLAIN IT! Ahhhh!

But all seriousness:
The model is...meh. But all the Games Day ones have been, in my opinion, since that Rune Priest years ago.
I would LOVE to see a Guard model as the Games Day one, but we all know how likely that is

It was also a fugly chaos fantasy minature.

Then again, when was the last GD fig that wasn't fugly or silly.

They had Cadian models for GD around the EoT campaign IRC, but those were just two dudes standing at ease.

Holy crap that's exactly what I thought, and that's why I like the model so much!
Ever see the 3 part (I think) episode of Captain Planet where the villains make their own rings and make an evil Captain Planet?
