I've always loved when things out of popular culture are referenced in a model conversion or paintjob, or when a model unintentionally looks like something you recognize from games/movies/tv/etc.
For example, while browsing the Dakka Gallery I came across a converted slaaneshi predator. Now I don't know for sure, but I would wager the creator didn't intentionally create this resemblance. Anyway, the very 1st thing I thought of when I saw this predator's turret was "Holy sh**, it's a Dr. Robotnik tank!"
Seriously, for anyone who's played the original 4 Sonic games, you cannot possibly tell me you don't see the resemblance. All it's missing is the moustache! There are also the famous Angry Marines (Always angry, ALL the time!), the Hello Kitty marines, any Xenomorph tyranid army, etc. I don't have a picture of it right now but back in my early days of 40k modelling I turned 2 CSM models into Sargeant Kim from Gears of War with a lancer, and a locust carrying a hammerburst. (just a slightly trimmed plasmagun, but the 2 are so similar in shape already)
So what conversions have you seen, or made, that tie in to Popular Culture?

My first ever conversion model was a very badly painted marine holding a can of Coca Cola.

This is Carmine for Gears of War. (This is from Barnum_Eagles. I do not take credit of this in any way. This is his link for the thread it came from http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/260195.page).

Those kans are sweet... That reminds me of the bare head on the Chaos Warriors sprue that looks exactly like Darth Maul. I don't know if anyone has ever used that head to make a Darth Maul model, but I do know some guy used it for a warrior as usual but painted it red with black stripes.

...I don't quite understand what the old Hive Tyrant model is supposed to resemble... other than, well, the old Hive Tyrant...? (Unless it's supposed to be the Alien Queen from Aliens?)
The FLGS I go to, Tower Games, has a piece of terrain in the display case that is a replica of the old game shop, Phoenix Games. The terrain piece has the same layout as the store did, and it's 'damaged' to show that Phoenix is dead. (All of the people who went to Phoenix are now at Tower, including the employees. I don't know the details but the store had to close, and one of the employees decided to open a new shop where we could all keep playing Warhams 40 million. Some of us like to called it the Phoenix Reborn. )

It's very heavily influenced by the Alien Queen, yes.

WINperial Guard army, eh? Very nice. Too bad there's no Chuck Norris model in there. (but then, you'd have to take him as an Imperator Titan who is impervious to damage, moves up to 120" a turn, has 467954543765 attacks hitting on 1+, and has the special rule Roundhouse Kick, which obliterates all opposing players and erases any memory that they ever existed. There are 43 supercomputers trying to calculate his points cost; they started with 100 of them, but the older ones couldn't take the strain and imploded.
