So yeah, as the title says. Any song that has been used for the opening of a film. Doesn't need to be from a great film, as long as it's a good song.

Here's mine!

Sets the mood of the film, and has brilliant lyrics!

Can't find a video to link to it, but my vote goes to 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' For Alien. Sets up a wonderfully disturbing and innocent atmosphere that is then brutally torn apart.

The song does seem a bit sped up compared to the original.

I would have to go with any of the James Bond movies. All of them have a great setup - an intro, actiony bit followed by the intro song, and then the movie rolls.

The World is Not Enough was kind of epic, and Casino Royale seems delightfully out of place in a Bond film. Oh, and even if the movie sucked, Die Another Day had a decent opening song.

I vote is Kelly's Heros and the song Burning Bridges.

On Dakka he was Eldanar. In our area, he was Lee. R.I.P., Lee Guthrie.

Iron Man. When the opening riff to Back in Black kicks in you just know this film is going to kick ass.

I would have said Chris Cornel and Casino Royale.

Also, someone has to say it, the openings to Star Wars movies, even the twentieth Century Fox and THX mularky sound better before John Williams steps to the plate.

Keeping the sci fi shtick going hows about Vangelis and Bladerunner opening, superb.

Aye nice one, that film and then seeing the Hurt Video, basically got me into Cash when I'd never really taken much notice before.

I agree, the best intro-to-theme was in my opinion On Her Majesty's Secret Service, followed by The Man with the Golden Gun.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
