Waaagh!

Hello everyone. I guess first off I should give some background info. , I still fairly new to the hobby; have only been gaming and modeling for about 5 months now. I have a wife, two kids and a full time job, and if you couldn't tell I play orks. I would like to tell you that I picked orks because of roleplaying orcs in dnd and that they are some of my favorite characters and while that may be true, the determining factor was that spliting AOBR with a buddy was the cheapest way for me into the hobby. That and he fronted the money and wanted the marines. It's all good though, I have read through the codex and love the fluff.

I'm doing a P&M blog for most of the same reasons I have seen other people start their blogs: give me motivation to keep painting, get c&c from the larger wargamming community, and my progress will be in one easy to access place.

With that being said I will start you off with my nobz. (I know that the lighting is not that good, its all I had to work with at the moment)

Ok so I have 15 nob bodies, and I am running a full unit of nobz in my list. . .now what to do with the other 5 models. . .hmmm. . run a smaller unit of nobz . . . or flash gitz. Yep, definitly need some flash gitz in here.





I like the way the snazzgunz came out, the only thing that I think is missing is there fluffy "bling" but I have yet to use greenstuff, I think, I going to have to read up on some articles and build up my confidence before I try something out. I have yet to use these guys in a game, hopefully they will not let me down.

That is It for now, these next couple of weeks I am working on finishing a squad of deff koptaz, I'm about halfway through making a mob of 30 'ard boyz, so we will see which one I finish first and then get some more pics up.

One thing I forgot to show you guys, I made my own army transport.






It's just a plastic container that I lined in foam, and I spray painted the front in ork glyphs. And I also have a couple more trays that I made, but didn't make it in the pictures. One to hold more boyz and the other to hold the vehicles that I own.

Brilliant! Especially the home-made transport. It takes a lot of time to do this in a home-made fashion, but then again, you save a lot of cash and buying enough cases for a large ORK army would bankrupt most gamers!!!

Nice work, I especially like the double big choppaz.
Maybe for the flash gitz you could add some bling just with paint, like painting parts of the armor and weapons gold, stuff like that.

hmm. . . you know to tell you honestly that had never crossed my mind. Looking through these and other forums I've seen people make medals, teef, greatcoats, pirate hats, etc, etc, for their flash gitz. I didn't even think about representing something with just paint. Thanks man, I might have to do this, at least until I get around to trying out greenstuff.

Yeah I really like the way the sm head turned out. I "borrowed" one of by best friends extra sm heads; painted it to match his ultramarines and drilled out a bullet hole. That way when our armies fight its a little more personal.

The container is a little under a foot and a half wide, about two foot long and a little over a foot deep. Give or take I don't remember the exact measurements.

LoL. I did the same thing. I have a Chaos army and Chaos kits have a lot of heads and helmets on spikes. I paint most of them to match his army. I also have a few SM bodies that I "borrowed" and when I finish my LR I'll have them dragging behind it from chains. Just a touch of spice!

Okay im definatly excited to see how this Mad Max thing turns out, i absolutely love that series

Right on, I was planning to get some more boyz painted first, but I might have to but them on hold and start painting my truck.

Ok, I have my first metal painted model, Kaptin Badrukk. I think I'm finished, I'm not sure about the red coat. The entire painting process when something like this: I don't think the red looks dirty enough. Ok now it looks dirty but its not red enough. etc. etc. etc. I kept going back and forth on the coat, but I think this version looks pretty good, what do you guys think?

With Tazz Azrael excited with the prospect of the mad max inspired truckk, I figured I should get to work on it.

your sig, 42 hours in MS paint?

How has everyone been doing? I have a quick question for all of you. If you don't remember scroll up a bit and look at the part where I had the idea to mount a space marine on the front of an ork truck, mad max style. Well, I came into some termies and I figured these guys would work just fine for this little project. Now before I did any work, I was holding one up to the front of the truck just to see where would be a good position and how I would have to cut/reposition the figure to make it look right. But, as I was holding him it looked to me like he was hit by the truck. So that is why I need your help. Does the termie below look like he was hit and got caught on the bumper or does it just look like he is just hangin out?




If it looks like he has gotten hit by enough people that is the way I will model him otherwise I will go with the mad max idea.

looks like hes just chillin out on the front to me. i vote for guys hanging off the sides and shooting. like the new dark eldar raider.

Only one reply? That's cool but yeah, the more I look at that pic, the more it doesn't look like he was hit. Anyways its all good I'll just stick with the original idea.
