The pose is just too stiff; after getting hit by a trukk his pose should be more limp, even in terminator armor. I ran into the same problem trying to whip up a crushed marine for the base on my chaos dread. in the end i had to cut his limbs into sections and re position them with green stuff.

If i were you I'd just go with the mad max idea, no point ruining an otherwise ace model by having a chill terminator ghost riding the front of your trukk.

@Sageheart, jamessearle0, and Tazz Azrael; thanks guys its great to hear the compliments.

@Maledictus; I figured when I first thought of the idea that I would have to cut up the figure and reposition him with green stuff. But I don't know, when I first saw the termie in front of the truck I thought, "hey it kinda looks like he got hit, thats cool. that will save me some time and work." Thats why I posted the pic on dakka, I wanted to make sure other people saw the same thing.

Anyways its all good, I need to pick up some green stuff and then all post some more pics when I have some work done.

It doesnt look like either....he looks like a chick that is sprawled out on the hood of a 65 chevy on the cover of Lowrider magazine. Either you are going to have to chop him up and articulate him differently, or find another model that looks better....maybe add a lance thru his chest and mount him suspended by that....but it doesnt work the way it is now. And WTH are you using a Terminator anyway? those are expensive models! you should get ahold of a SM and mount that instead, I think they look way more limber and you can do alot more with them anyway. Even if you dont play SM, dont waste a term!

Well, I resently came into some AOBR marines and terminators. I was going to use the marines but all of them have their arms modeled accross their chest. Then I looked at the termies, their arms are come in seperate peices. I didn't feel confident to cut the arm off of the marine while leaving the arm reuseable and not damaging the body. Thats why I choose the terminator, compared to the marines, the termie looks easier to work with. And on the fluff side of things; who is the bigger trophy? A space marine or a terminator? The way I see it my orks will have more street cred, cause they have a termie mounted to the front of their truck.

I made some progress on my truck, and Element206 you should be happy to note that I found a regular space marine to use and not a termie.

Its still a wip but I wanted to show you guys what I had so far, I still need to green stuff up some rope or chains to tie him to the truck and add some battle damage to the marine.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here we go a closer pic of the sm and you can also see the added battle damage.

Edit: Fixed the second pic.

Poor guy, you kinda feel for him. I really like the leg positions. Is he dead or just barely alive?

Aw came across this too late to persuade you!
I actually really loved the rammed terminator, had a real orky humour about it. In the orky 40k universe (where everything is just a little bit less grimdark and just a little bit more looney tunes) I could easily see a termie getting rammed full speed and it just being carried off in a huge dent in the exact position it was standing in.

That being said, the new solution is real nice too, just more grimdark.

ps. PukeNut, if you're having a problem with too many terminators all cluttering up your bitsbox, I still need a few. Pm me and we can work something out.

Its nice to hear the replies, thanks guys.

I was working last night on green stuffing some ropes and chain, but as I'm still new to working with green stuff it was not going to well. But, I did find a nice tutorial here on dakka for making ropes and stuff; so hopefully this weekend I'll get some time to finish working on the marine.

@Styrofoam04 - Thanks man, I always assumed he would be dead, but your question just gave me an idea. When I play my friends ultramarine army say that he is barley alive and that his army is on a rescue mission. Have the sm and truck be a moving objective, basically he would have to stop the truck without blowing it up (and thus killing the person they were trying to rescue). It might be fun to try out

@TiB - I still want to do something with the terminator but I did get a regular marine and that was the original idea, and I'm happy with how it is turning out. I think on the next vehicle I do it will have either an impaled termie on the front or some type of terminator hood ornament. And, I'm sorry but I have a friend who plays ultramarines and whatever I'm not going to use, I'm going to give to him as a christmas present. But, shhh. . .he doesn't know that yet. If I come into any more, I'll keep you in mind.

Thats a great idea! That would be really hard to win too! A moving objective surrounded by a horde of Orks. Probably have to do tank shock a few times just to get in there

Update time

First up I think I finished my Mad max style sm. Well the modeling part anyways, waiting for the green stuff to cure and then paint him up. Anyways here he is with the ropes and chains

and up close of the ropes

And I also started to paint my truck

This thing feels like it is going to take forever, I really wish I have left it in peices before painting. Trying to paint some of the nooks and crannies is a real pain in the .

On another note I also finished up my squad of 'ard boyz.

Thats it for now, let me know what you guys think.
Im going to be working on the truck as much as I can this week so hopefullly by next weekend I'll have another update.

@Styrofoam04 - If my buddy and I ever get around to playing that type of game I'll let you know. I think it would be interesting and fun to see if he can stop the truck. At the very least it will be a change of pace from your standard game of 40k.
