There's a lot of talk about the world cup at the moment, so I was wondering what sports you guys play.
I've never really been any good at football, I like tennis/ squash, Fives, Golf and some rugby, what's Dakka's favorite sport?
Before questions come flooding in, fives is a kind of handball.

I was a goalie in hockey when I was young and in shape.
I shoot, dunno if thats a sport or not but I enjoy doing that.

I play rugby, i swim, i cycle, and i run. Only rugby i do competitively though. I also paintball, but i dont think thats a sport.

I play cricket, and I used to play hockey. Well, field hockey to you strange American types.

Right now I play rugby, soccer, and compete in endurance races.

In the past I've been involved in hockey, football, wrestling, MMA, boxing, and lacrosse.

now, in my ever-growing laziness, mostly bowling, billiards...anything where your skill increases proportionally with how much you drink...

I do long distance running.
But for my own 'enjoyment'

I have over the years done swimming, track and field, soccer, Australian Rules Football (my favorite), triathalons.

Too much going on at the moment - I haven't really got much time to play sports.

I used to play Badmington and Football (I was a Keeper) a few times a week. I also did about 6 months of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu when I lived in Spain.

I try to avoid anything that involves spending more time outside than is absolutely necessary to lug my army carrier from the house to the car and then from the car to the FLGS and back again. When I was in school, I got into a lot of fight. I don't know if that counts, because there was betting, but I never got a cut of it.

I regularly go to a Fencing club, I'm very skilled at epee but I want to get more into sabre and improve my foil skills. Also, I enjoy small cycling sessions, which is very relaxing.

I'm rubbish at most sports, but I've tried a few over the years. Hurling I was pretty bad at, but it's still something I enjoy. I was better at Gaelic Football, but never really play it anymore (living in Dublin, not many play it, it's all soccer). I enjoy basketball too, but again, never get to play it.
I do a lot of outdoorsy sorts of sports though. I like kayaking, rough shooting, archery, cross country running, hunting with dogs, fishing and snorkeling and I want to get back into sailing. I never get to do any of them enough though. I don't like being on a team that much because I hate letting my teamates down when I fumble or something, but I enjoy sports that test your endurance or dedication and get you out in the fresh air.

Did some fencing when I was younger, Foil mostly, though I prefered Sabre., Crosscountry running, freerunning, baseball, softball, basketball....Cycling until I hit the Wall (Manayunk, PA... 300ft climb in 1/2mile... try that 10 times....)
I am always up for some (american) football.

I mostly play basketball and soccer nowadays, though when I was in high school I ran track, threw discus and shot put, played defense in lacrosse, and was an all-state defensive tackle in football.

I played football (American football,that is) for 2 years in high school,however,I got injured in a game (Broken ankle and destroyed knee) and thus ended my brief football carer.

I also studied Karate for a few years.
