who do you think would be the victor? Say that the primarchs held a tournament each challenging eachother to one on one combat all the way till a victor was determined who would it be? My vote goes to Angeron, lets see psyker powers cant touch him, and he his hands down the most badass daddy didnt love me CC monster in the galaxy. So anything short of an imperitor titan shooting him in the face (and I question even this killing him) wont even phase him.

So who do you think is the strongest and give logical reasoning. Fanboys stay home.

what about Horus, I mean I feel you about Angron, but Horus wrecked Sanguinius so badly that his childrens children still have seizures lol, plus he gave the EMPEROR OF MANKIND one hell of a beating before the Emperor zapped him with mind lazors. Ithink it'd come down to Horus v Angron for the Heavyweight Primarch of the Galaxy Title.

I think most of the fluff points to Horus being the “most powerful” primarch.

There was a discussion on Angron vs. Russ a while back on Dakka and, though they are truly powerful entities each in their own right, I believe the consensus was that both Horus and Sanguinis were superior.

Fulgrum is probably my favorite primarch, and he would certainly rank very high in martial prowess, but I still think Horus is the better, if by a narrow margin.

Eye of Terror... I think

Damn forgot about old Horus. I will admit that he is most likely hands down the most powerful but he had the power of 4 gods behind him too.

How does russ even come close to Angron? Russ got beat out by the Lion and almost killed by Magus. Pretty sure Angron could have spanked either.

Big tip of the cap to Saguinius and fulgrim thou. Fulgrim is just a primarch slayer tried and true, and saguinius wounded Horuses armor, and killed 3 bloodthirsters all to his loathsome, pretty epic.

So over all (Besides Horus obiously) who would take the cake then. I think Fulgrim, Angron, and Saguinius are right there in the top three.

I'd say it's a little more than a narrow margin my friend, I highly doubt Fulgrims prowess is equal to Sanguinius, even as a demon, I mean Sanguinius' belt was practically made out of slain bloodthirster heads, a demon that is designed for close combat bloodshed by a GOD of close combat and bloodshed, and Horus broke him like a toy, so to say that Fulgrim is slightly less badass than Horus is quite an overstatement.

I agree that Horus is far above even those three, but I would argue the match up between fugrim and saguinius.

Fulgrim killed 2 (or 3?) primarchs, punched out an avatar with his bare hands. While Saguinius slayed 2 bloodthirsters THEN the father of all bloodthirsters. Im just saying that I think a match up between the two would be much closer than you give fulgrim credit for. Both being my patron primarchs im at a loss

And as fuglim and saguinius are finess and skill fighters rather than enraged brute strength behemoths like Agron, I have no idea where he would fit in the mix...

My god we have too much time on our hands at work lol

This is true, I forgot about punching an Avatar to death lol, and Fulgrim totally owned Ferrus Manus and Rowboat Gillyman, this does bump up his awesome meter. As for Angron I feel he's still a hefty contender just because he had the black rage before it was the black rage, plus where other primarchs were students of literature and art and tactics as well as combat, Angron was raised in the arena, bloodshed is all he knows. Just because he was a gladiator doesn't mean he wasn't without skill either. And yes we have far too much time on our hands lol, oh did you know Mr. Dan is on vacation till the 17th!?!?! I nearly had a panic attack when tucker told me, I need my fix man!

Horus would win.

He has done it already after all.

Ferrus Manus would come in last.

Lion El' would get the "Unsportsman" award.

Hey, they were engaged in honorable combat, Russ took his eye off the ball and got nailed for it. End of story.
And for my prediction?
Curze bides his time in the shadows, hammers Horus with a steel chair before finishing him off with a frogsplash off the third turnbuckle.

Actually if I recall Curze just let himself be killed by a mortal to prove some point of his as to some deeper purpose in the galaxy. lol IMO he just proved that hes an idiot.

Horus is obviously the highest followed by Sanguinius. If you listen to Raven's Flight when Corax sees Angron he realizes that he will die if he faces him. He says, " only 2 primarchs were stronger than Angron." It was the 2 previously mentioned.

Hhehe... just have to throw in there the lowest of the low... Rogal Dorn. This poor guy has had his ass beat by more primarchs than I can count. He is definitely holding up the heap.

well I wouldn't say he's the LOWEST of the low, that honor goes to poor old Ferrus Manus. Poor Iron Hands, just can't catch a break.

We had this conversation a while back http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/281863.page in which the general consensus was that - without the influence of Chaos or Psychic Powers - that it would be either Angron or Russ, with Sanguinus and Fulgrim close by.

@ Laughing God - Kurze allowed M'Shen to kill him in order to 'punish/vindicate' him for his crimes. He saw the rot within his Legion and it's greed and inherent flaws (due to the criminal recruitment) and so destroyed his home world and allowed himself to be killed, facing justice for what he did, much like how he used to inflict justice on Nostramo. This IMHO, makes him the best and most reasonable Primarch, most of the others have a significant flaw or are too hung up on daddy not loving them.

Where would Mortarion come in this Battle of the Brothers?

If we're talking about whilst under the influence of Chaos, then it's almost certainly Horus.

Mortarion, with Chaos, probably behind Angron, Fulgrim and Horus IMHO.

Without Chaos, I still don't think he'd be that high up. Russ, Angron, Sanguinus, Fulgrim and Horus would beat him IMHO, most likely many of the other primarchs too...

Well I don't know if he would have necessarily been bested by the other Primarchs, I mean the honest truth is that we really don't have enough info about Mortarions fighting prowess, ditto goes for the likes of Vulkan, Jagatai Khan, Corax, and Perturabo, because all the other Primarchs at one time or another fought eachother and thus gave us an idea of their skills. I mean Russ fought just about everybody out there including the Emperor, Magnus Fought Russ, Fulgrim Killed 2 of his brothers, Ferrus took a dirt nap round 1, Rowboat Gillyman took down either Alpharius or Omegon, Sanguinius died by Horus' hand, Dorn got stomped by the Night haunter over a dinner argument, The Lion beat Russ over a spat (albeit in a less than chivilrous manner), and Angron is such a roaring inferno of Intensity that most other primarchs didn't even want to mess with him.

Not very chivalrous but HELL he still won ... tactics ...

What's the point of a duel if you both decide halfway through to stop give everyone a " non competitive medal " and have tea and crumpets.

The whole point was to win ... he won ... good tactics !!!!
