Spent the past couple weeks on this army and I was pretty proud of how it came out so I thought I would post it. My first Titan as well! Titans are fun to paint Ive found and I hope to do some more.

Enjoy.

Thanks guys! The army is so huge and I had so many visions in my head when starting, it is even more rewarding than usual to stop and look at the finished product.

Yes it was a commission. Adepticon armies are about all I do for myself anymore. Local scene is mostly Fantasy and I have a Mortals "gaming" army that will last me for a while, so focusing on that boring real life stuff right now :(

It looks mostly airbrushed, so I can imagine it is probably doable if you airbrushed most of the colours. As well he is a commission painter so I imagine his painting speed is quite high.

That said, fantastic work. It would have been a challenge to paint such a large Iyanden force, the sheer amount of yellow must have been a turn off to begin with. Also your alternate schemes for your aspects are great too.

Well while I do paint quickly, it is also my job.

And yes I do use a process of airbushing washing and traditional brush highlighting to do the single main color (in this case blue or yellow) Its a 6 step process and because of the nature of airbrush you can only do one color on the model (the rest is traditional hand brush) but what you save is a lot of drying time. Hand painting the basecoats just takes a lot more time to dry. Im sure you all have had that experience though.

Good old fashioned wind blowing device (fan) helps in the drying times too. Another thing you can do is work on one thing while another dries. So while, say, some infantry are drying you can do another set, or do a little work on the tanks. It's all about cutting out your idle waiting time.

You have some of the most beautiful greys I've ever seen. I'm thinking particularly on the striking scorpions, the wraithlord blade, the eldar missile launcher and brightlance barrel.

This is truely awesome.

I love how you switched the yellow and blue from what GW usually does for Iyanden. Works really well.

Absolutely amazing work. Thought when I saw it that you'd either be the sort doing this professionally or just didn't work/was on holiday to sort it out. To be able to put out that quality in such a small time frame... takes me over a week to do a single unit/tank normally and I can't get to anywhere near that standard lol.

That is mighty impressive if that only took you a few weeks! The blue you chose came out looking fantastic! I love to see a complete army that is painted to this quality....that is an extremely rare thing. I also love your forge world models...this looks to be one expensive army!

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Love the colours on the striking scropions - never seen them done like that.

My only negative is that some of the black sections on the vehicles (in particular) and models don't really seem to be painted up to the level of the other colours (ie they all seem to be just flat black).

Otherwise, excellent work.

Oh damn you now I'm torn over how to paint my scorpions I was planning on the traditional green and yellow now I want to try grey and yellow hmmmmm time to get the thinking cap on. That said it's a great looking army the owner must be very pleased with the results, that titan is simply outstanding.

Wow... I absolutely LOVE your Striking Scorpion color scheme. This makes me want to do an Eldar army now... (I could just add it to my already years-long list of things to do...) What kind of airbrush did you use for the vehicles? Because it came out so smooth, I want to get one.

I have several but used a mix of an HP-C Plus and Infinity.

Other than slight variances in durability and cost of new parts, and comfort in your hand, the only real difference between them all is tip size.

VERY pretty.
