Hey! I resent that.  That was exactly what I planned to do, until I shoved that to my future Exodite Eldar. Picture of first model
Also: Chibby Tyranids ~Nyu? (and ofcourse Smurf or Hello Kitty Marines)
However, if you work out an original idea well (and it doens't offend the canon too much), all the more kudo's from me! I like seeing original armies.

I've often wondered how 'negative scheme' Marines would look ... ie lighter colours in recesses, darker edging.

i was in the process of doing that to some eldars but got bored doing so. i used a toy once from a plastic toss around game. sort of looking like a stonetroll. made him look like a lava troll...i was just then testing that basic idea. i recommend it to someone with more painting skill than me^^
