They're about as good looking as I've seen too.

Granted, there are only 5 sculpts, but it's a start.

They look alright, the one furthest to the left is to awkward looking IMO.

I agree, but I'm not seeing female sci-fi troopers popping fully grown from a god's forehead on a daily basis.

At least they stayed away from the less-is-more armor option.

They're not exactly female IG, more female generic sci-fi soldier.

These are, compared to the sort of thing we usually see (Exhibit 1: that fething awful Female Commissar from Games Day so many moons ago, Exhibit 2: Space Nuns with armored double-D tits) remarkably un-sexualized and serious-looking.

I'm a big fan of Kev White's sculpting. You can tell his work by the full hips and overall 'zaftig'. I get the feeling he's actually met women before.

Honestly, I'm just impressed they don't have custom breastplates that expose more than they cover. Nice find.

These have been available for some time, it's just that the are now being boxed as a set by Mantic. It's good that they are getting some extra attention from gamers, anyway.

I would recommend you go to the HF website, as there are tons of great sculpts that could be used in 40k etc.

Edit: Their sculpts and service are awesome. Just a light touch at most with a file to clean at most, and good crisp detail every time. Just in case anyone was wondering about quality.

Aren't all IG merely generic sci-fi soldier with an eagle stuck on? Except for the ones which are generic WW1/Zulu War/Rambo/Bedouin with an eagle stuck on.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

That's a good point. The Guard is hardly a concept unique to Games Workshop. They draw on a lot of stereotypes and archetypes for all of their races, but IG are (arguably) the divergent from the human military norm.

Yeah alright IG are generic I guess. But unless you bought an army of these four gals then they would propably look out of place.

Although they could work in pcs and ccs to make them stand out.

HF do great minis and I would recommend everyone look over them. I've got a few of them myself.

Hasslefree sells most of these models with the Pulse Rifles as seen in the Alien franchise, if anyone's interested.

But yeah, they're cool models. I'm a big fan of their models. I've bought most of their generic scifi models and their quality is quite good.

Is this a preview of Mantic's sci fi line (i.e. Kev designed)?

10k pts Eldar (no jetbikes -- how is that possible?)

2k pts 3rd edition Wolves (no werewolves or clifford cavalry -- but I do have a nifty Leman Russ Exterminator shaped paperweight)

the helmets look kinda spank tbh.... or is that just me......

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

Dang, forgot about the sweets... I'm due to make an order soon any way, there is some great new stuff in the pipeline. Have a look on the Forum of Doom for a couple of really good small manufacturers with great sculpts. The weapons are fairly easy to do swaps, as shown with my Inquisitor and retinue. The pics a bit ropey, sorry.

Ok they're GRYMN, but you get the idea. Necromunda gang as well...

Helmets will always look big and clunky on minis that are not 'heroic' scale like these.
