So after some... well let just say "alternative self-medication" I was suddenly struck (as I am apt to do) with an idea for a greater demon... As my CSM are Nurgeliscious, I dashed to my hobby room at 12:00AM geabbed my schtuff, a litre of Monster and a bag of doritos...

And sit here now 3 hours later with a "finished" product I am amazed I was able to create...

I started with

High Temp Hot glue gun
Bowl of iced water
Random bits of sprue
Paints and an Idea.

I give you my half-baked "Filth Demon"

1) Start with Sprue and make an armature (I think that is what they call it.)

Note: Use the cool water to quick-set the hot glue into an acceptable shape or if you are like me an burn your fingers constantly...

2) Once you have the thingy into an acceptable shape, use hot glue to build up the body. (I painted it orange so you could see the general shape as hot glue is opaque.

3) Once you give it a shape use the hot glue to "Nurglize" the darn thing to death. Paint "Shiat Brown"

4) Paint and highlight as you please... here is what I came up with.

So was it worth the 3 hours it took to make it? You make da call... wait, what? Where am I?

I am out about 78 cents worth of hot glue on him.

Sprue and Base were left overs.

Saved me about 45 bucks for a "greater demon" which I need for my tourney list. Hope they let me play him.

hehehehe...yeah, I was thinking to make him have a belly, hence the wide swath of glue across his mid section, but the way I did his body a belly would have made him just a blob and lose some of his shape, being that I made his legs too small, so I didn't go for it, but I like your idea for it.

They'll let you play it. 25% gw product is what I was told.
By cost? Those mawloc bits cost more than the glue.
As long as it isn't the third one casting warp time, you're good.

Thanks for the feedback. I am considering possibly adding some bits of flock to add a "mouldy feel" to it but think that maybe mushrooms might be a better idea... your thoughts?

Very cool! I've used hotglue to fill up large hollow spaces on models to give me a base to put green stuff onto, but never made a model Out of hotglue! I'd like to see eyeballs on it, one kind of oozeing/sliding out of it's socket.

Considering what its made from, it looks incredible! And in only 3 hours time too! As for mushrooms, just remember - Less is More and Detail is Everything..

Loved the idea...so Tried out something which seems fitting....although it now looks a bit mawkish...and cutesy?

Eyes.... made out of PVA glue and....wait for it..... Toilet Paper!

Looks good! please shade them from like a dirty yellow up to white, i wouldn't recommend painting pupils.

Agreed, a yellow would suit the eyes better.

But that thing is pretty darn awesome, the trail it leaves behind, the... whatever it is dripping of its arm and the addition of a few bitz. It just works. And it was all made from glue! Really nice work, well done!

i think everybody should attempt this as it is a very good methode... i just have to find a way to use this idea for my IG army...what on earth could be made that way...

Looks like Meltman from Action League, Now!

All you need on this guy now are a few flies, and i guarantee even the judges won't want to touch it. Flies would be hard to do though, MAGGOTS on the other hand, or another little s**t demon behind him carrying a roll of TP paper.

Nice work though, man, seriously, the paint job makes it look so............well, you get the idea.
