Obviously this doesn't mean literal physical height, however they must be somewhat taller and stronger than ordinary SMs.

I don't know of anything saying that GK are taller or stronger then other Space Marines. The models may be but we all know that GW isn't exactly accurate when it comes to the size of their models in relation to fluff.

a Gk is still a Space Marine physically, aside from the Hexagrammic wards.

From the 3rd ed Daemonhunters Codex and what Kilkrazy said in OP: They are as far above ordinary Space Marines as Space Marines are above IG.

Considering that wording it isn't unreasonable that they'd have harsher training, better gene enhancements, higher quality gene seed, or better implant and such.

But to the original question, well Marine height is generally vague and varies depending on who is describing them, but the few GK fluff pieces seem to make them out as the same size as other marines just harder and tougher etc not actually bigger. Perhaps they are more commonly on the high end of the general Marine height variance?

They are 900ft tall and shoot lasers from their eyes and fire from their butts.

I would have thought they would be above the average of the normal run of Space Marines, so, over nine feet, maybe up to ten.

They are normal marines physically aside from possibly slightly purer geneseed. Their bones are etched with hexagramic wards, and they are taught psychic defenses, but physically they are normal.

As far as I am aware they are the same size as normal marines. So if you take the old school measurements, that would be anywhere between 7-9ft. If you take the new fluff measurements, it would be anywhere between 9-11ft tall.

I'd say that they're about the average height for a space marine.

Nine or ten feet or so.

I remember reading somewhere back in 2nd Edition that Grey Knights, being the paragons of nobility, expressed this in every way, including their stature. Though not expressly stated, the implication was that they stood above normal Space Marines.

I think this may be the way of it. Especially with that bit Lorek remembered. That sounds kind of familiar.

Maybe, like the Papal Swiss Guard in real life, they also screen for height a bit? Tending to favor the taller contenders? So this could put them up at the high end of the normal marine nine to ten foot range.

As their geneseed comes directly from the Great Emprah, how could they stand equal to lesser men? Agreed, by their very nature they have to be just this side of monstrous creatures. Emprah>primarchs so GK>marines.

I've not seen anything that means they are taller, but they are definitely better.

Yeah, I second Monster Rain. We need to try to get GW to quit it with the creep. I refuse to let them or anyone else tell me that a Space Marine is any height other than within the range of 9-10 feet tall. Next thing you know, they'll be 50 feet tall and will be able to kill the Avatar by sneezing. I'm drawing the line here.

The same with policemen and Guards units in the British Army. You have to be over six feet to get in.

Grey Knights aren't any bigger than regular marines. It's the fact they're all psykers and the extensive amounts of psycho-indoctrination they go through that make them different.

Well, I distinctly remember one of the stories in the old Realm of Chaos books states that the GKs are actually a bit shorter than most chapters, but wider, due to the harsh gravity on Titan.

Doesn't Titan have less gravity then Earth?

Edit: Yes, it has almost no gravity.

Not that I have a vested interest in this particularly, just that it's something written in an old rogue trader book a long time back. I doubt the writer even bothered to look up any of Titan's vital statistics when he put the fluff together.

Anyways, fourth dimensional spacetime aside I think you're on the right track about them most likely being not even as big as the average Space Marine. You see the top 5 criteria for recruiting a grey knight are
1)Mental Discipline
2)Piety
3)Mental Discipline and Piety
4)Piety and Mental Discipline
5)Psychic powers.

You know how hard it is to get a Space Marine with those qualites?! You don't throw out a Psychic-Super-Space Marine because he's only 7'6"!

I too remember the gravity on Titan having something to do with Grey Knights.

Shouldn't they just be the same height as a normal marine, seeing as how then might need to blend in with marines and that they are really just "upgraded".

Except for Frazzled who is a gleaming specimen of body building manhood, the mods, unlike Grey Knights are the same size as regular humans.
So that we may better blend in at tournaments when all things nerdrage appear and our trollhammer is unavailable.
