Any 14 1'2 year old up onstage infront of the President himself and a few million viewers that can still belt out a stevie wonder tune has talent. Poor kid was a nervous wreck the whole time.
Listen to the whole thing and honestly tell me the kid has no talent.

He's not talent-less by any stretch, just a victim of teen marketing followed up with overreaching anger and assumptions. Kid's got a excellent head on his shoulders too if you've ever seen an interview with him. I don't like his music because it's not aimed at my demographic, but that's a far cry form him having no talent.
Somewhat random, courage and talent are two different scales in my book.
I think why a lot of people are angry is that yes, he can sing has some talent. But there are people out there that are equally as good and usually way better than this girl is and the only reason she is popular is because of the teenie bopper following. I guess people are still just as sick of the over produced, made for tweens junk that gets shoved down people's throat, then this girl acts like it took a lot for her to get to where she is.
It's the fact that I have 300 lb men I work with who like him that I hate.....
Having said that, I feel sorry for him. I can't imagine how good his life is going to be once his time in the spotlight ceases to be, and he becomes just another child star.....

Talent and popularity aren't the same thing,never have been..never will be.
However,the kid does have a good voice and obviously does have some talent..
The genre/style of music he's stuck in is a bit meh,but who knows what he may do music wise down the road.

He's a good singer I guess, but I personally don't care much for the style of music he makes. Its too bland.
Maybe its just because I prefer 10 minute guitar solos to simple pop songs, but whatever.

Just about everyone in the music industry has a fair bit of talent (except Paris Hilton and a handful of other celebrities who used their fame to launch singing careers). The point is that you don't just plonk someone with singing talent on stage and get good music.
Justin Bieber's music is not good music. Which is not a criticism of Bieber or the team behind him, they want simple, clean music that'll sell to 12 year olds, and that means crap music. They provide this, along with a very skilled marketing campaign, and watch albums sales and merchandising contracts roll in. Good luck to them. But it's still gak music.

Perhaps, but this is the good part of the game, if you understand what i say, all this hate is fuel for humorist people, bad jokes, humiliating mods in many games, etc etc etc... even teenage crappyness is useful, when you have the right focus in it

I don't get why people care. He, like Twilight, is marketed to adolescent girls, you probably wouldn't like his stuff no matter how hard you tried. Doesn't really make much sense to hate on something specifically catered to a wildly different demographic than yourself. I mean if you don't like certain music/movies dont listen/watch it. I think people who hate on this stuff are far more annoying than the content in question.

I was commenting more on the fact that nerds who play with toys are making fun of a sphere of music designed for tweens, a category they are likely not in. People with questionable and childlike hobbies shouldn't throw stones. I see more people bitching about Beiber then I see things about beiber otherwise. It's a snake thats eating itself and it annoys me.
