Hi guys, with my new guard army, the Catachan 222nd, i will be keeping a regimental log, including a full list of soldiers in the regiment, with rank etc. there will also be a regimental report after every battle, including casualty list and WIA/MIA (for wounded characters and people who flee) generally, the hope is, by distinguishing themselves in battle this army will get a nickname of sorts and some people will become distinguished... SO to buisness, i figured it might be fun if YOU, yes YOU had a chance to join the 222nd the idea is, below is a list of positions that need filling ( you will have to start as a private) so give your character a name and then i will put a link here when the regimental report thread is up, so you will be able to follow your soldiers battle, who knows, some of them may be promoted to the Vt Sgt special weapons operative who blows up a chaos lords land raider?

should your soldier die, he will be listed as KIA in the regimental honours, and any soldiers who excel themself will receive letters of commendation on the regimental report thread.
with time, the regiment will grow, taking on new platoons and squads- i'm afraid at the moment none of you can be ogryns.

THIS IS A REAL GUARD ARMY your fate will be decided by my dice, should your character die, you are more than welcome to make a new one, i will have a reserve list if we run out of positions in the army, so leave another name and you will soon see action again!

characters will be promoted the more they survive or impress, if you don't want a promotion- well, life is tough in the guard, and we have a regimental commisar on hand.

Promotions will be announced on the regimental news (which will be in the regimental report post with the battle casualties)

SO the positions that are avaliable are below, if you want a specific position, mention it the platoon number,squad number and the name, if not just the name and i will assign you to the next available position OR if you fancy lucky dip, pick a number from 30-140 and that will be your role, i will tell you what it is

Punishments..
Anyone who messes about on the regimental report thread or general displeases everyone may well be shot by the regimental commisar or assigned to a penal legion

I almost thought we had the same regiment for a second, till I checked my notes and remembered that the Musketeers are the 224th.

I'd sign up, but aside from my own Catachan regiment, I'm also a member of the Catach XVIII "Swamp Rats"(a regiment mentioned in the old Catachan Codex, used for a Games Day 2000 event and started by former Outrider and Louisiana native John Barmore).

Hi commisar, the bad news is everyone has to start from an equal rank, so private or SWO mainly, this way its fair on everyone (the reason sentinal pilots are allowed is because 1/ they will have a short life expectancy and 2/they cant really be promoted, if your guardsman does well enough he could well become a Lt.

Thank you all for your comments aswell, and it will be hard to keep up, but i have a numbers system, with every guardsman given a number, the plan being i can then strike off units as they die, giving me a range of say 70-79 being a particular squad.
i'm glad people are taking it up with gusto! and i look forward to hopefully getting you all to be miraculous heroes!
the plan is that i wont be using tournaments towards this, as 1/ i am likely to be stomped and 2/ fighting 6 games could make it hard to keep up with ,this way i will play a game a week and so have a week to fill in the gaps.

lets hope we dont need too many seperat foundings!

the idea will be that when ever i update the regimental record (likely once a week) you will all have to look for your number, be it MIA,KIA, or honourable dispatches

well humps, i currently have a lord commisar rocking about, who will switch in with the psyker, so i would be happy to name you lord Commisar humps too? then just help keep order on the thread, if it gets hectic- also, if people deserve it you can send them to the penal legions

My brothers and I would like to sign for Heavy-weapon squad I's loaders, if it's possible.

If so, loaders Enrico, Sandro, and Sean Patrick Patucci ready and wondering "Bullets go where?"

Im a Lord Commissar. I've survived decades of combat with regiments from around the universe! Plus...LD 10...in a large platoon....Stubborn...Should have no problem!
