It's a copy of this conversion that was in WD back in 95-96.



It's based off an ancient Ogre model.

And the rest of the first squad of cadians. The melta gunner is destined for a command squad.

It's all about very slight shifts in the color on the lens or gem.

Really diggin' the old Guard. Gotta say after so many years of people turning away from green bases, its refreshing to see them come back. Makes me reminisce about the good old days

I call shenanigans! You've obviously found some unused White Dwarf photos of 'Eavy Metal paintjobs from the 1990s, and now you're foisting them off as your own retro-handiwork!


jk. I've seen these guys live and up close, and if anything they look even better.

Love the new batch. Those OOP guard figures have this wonderful toy soldier vibe to them, which your painting captures perfectly. They look both hyper-"real" and cartoonish at the same time. Too cool.

Finished the Death Guard Marine up this week.

Today, assembly of 47 Necromunda gangers.

Forge World Kill Bursta, Battle Fortress and a GW Stompa hit with paint and salt weathering.

Started working on a platoon of RT Guard. Going for the classic scheme, grey fatigues, black armour, brown boots, silver guns.

Love the painting style you have achieved, it completely matches the original style of how these models used to appear.

That's an excellent collection of RT Guard you have there. I have a few of the same models here and there, most have found their way into the PDF I use for Necromunda scenarios.

Before the Orks pushed the guard aside, I did make some progress, getting their boots painted and a wash over most of them.

Wow, I'm really loving your old school guard. They're really nicely painted and they have a great look and feel about them. Your Orks are awesome too. I love those grot tanks.

Added weathering powders and painted up the grot kommanda.

I like the weathering it looks great. Which weathering powders did you use? The grot kommanda it great too. The effect on his glasses is very nicely done.
