Woah...

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1666021/jackass-ryan-dunn-dead.jhtml

MTV wrote:Ryan Dunn, the 34-year-old "Jackass" star, died in a fatal car crash on Sunday night in Pennsylvania.

According to TMZ, the accident occurred at 3 a.m. on Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township. While it's unknown who was driving at the time, an unidentified passenger also died in the crash. The mother of Dunn's "Jackass" co-star, Bam Margera, broke the news to WMMR 93.3's "Preston and Steve" radio show, and MTV News has also confirmed it on Monday (June 20).

In the last photo Dunn posted to Twitter, he and two friends are seen drinking what may be alcoholic beverages. TMZ also reported that the car caught fire in the crash. A tow truck was later sent to the scene to remove the car. A photo obtained by an NBC affiliate in Pennsylvania, showed the wrecked car on the side of the road. As of press time, no further information was known about the accident.

Dunn kicked off his career doing crazy stunts and skateboard tricks in a series of online videos, which eventually led to his part in MTV's "Jackass" in 2000. The daredevil was a key member of the crew, appearing in "Jackass" spin-offs like "Viva La Bam" and "Bam's Unholy Union," as Bam's sidekick and often acting as the voice of reason within the zany crew.

He appeared in all three "Jackass" flicks and even took a stab at Hollywood, with a role in non-"Jackass" projects like the Jessica Simpson flick "Blonde Ambition" and on the NBC procedural staple "Law & Oder: SVU."

Bad times. Saying that, I'm surprised it's taken this long for one of the Jackass/CKY to be killed in some sort of accident. Plus the drink-driving certainly can't have helped....

Still, a shame. He was a funny dude.

Ironic after all the gak he did that he died in a car accident.

Them's the breaks, you never know when your going to catch it up.

Statistically though, this was way more likely than a plane crash.

3am crash where police suspect "excessive speed" was involved after tweeting photos of him drinking "what could be alcoholic beverages" is media talk for the dude killed himself and his passenger by driving drunk.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. As I said (in complete agreement with you), Bam is certainly a dick and I wouldn't hang out with him. That one scene was freaking funny, though.

On Ryan Dunn, that's a damn shame. But speeding while drinking and driving (allegedly) at 3 am is not a good combination.

I saw a pic of what was left of his car after the crash. If it werent for the tow truck in the picture, I wouldnt of thought that was a car, I grew up in junk yards, and thats what a pile of scrap metal looks like. Sucks, he was one of the few I liked in their group....might of been the beard.

Friends don't let jackasses drink and drive.

Wow people really have their panties in a bunch over Ebert's tweet, all he did was speak the truth, and no it's not to soon for statements like that.

Fact check: Ryan Dunn is at best guilty of manslaughter and at worst guilty of murder. When a drunk driver kills their passenger in a 100+ MPH wreck the drunk driver ceases to be a victim of their own stupidity and become the perpetrator of a serious felony. One of my nephew's friends got an 18 year prison sentence for killing his passenger in a DUI related accident about 2 years ago. Now he's going to be doing the same thing for the next 16 years that he has been doing for the last 2 years; being forced by other inmates to eat peanut butter and jelly out of their rectum.

I don't have any sympathy for any drunk driver that kills their passenger, other drivers, and/or pedestrians. All I have to say to drunk drivers that killed other people with thier mistakes can be summed up by 1 demotivational poster.

Its the person some of us are a bit sad about...he was fething hillarious, and a key member of the Jackass crew.

I always enjoyed those movies, especially when they're in Japan..so damn funny.

Though, you are correct, I just don't like how you phrased it.

Yeah, without speculating as to whether or not Dunn was the driver or indeed guilty of an wrongdoing whatsoever until the facts come to light I can say this:

If you drink and drive and die because of it I am not sad for you. If you kill someone else while doing it I hope there's a hell and you go there.

That said, I liked Jackass and CKY and all that jazz. Bummer that he's gone.

I never found Jackass funny in any way, shape, or form, and I absolutely despise drunk drivers, so... yeah. Not feeling any pity for him at all.

Did he have a family that cared about him, friends, lovers, whatever? Sure. But guess what? He wasn't important to me, and he made an irresponsible and infuriating choice to DUI. All he is to me is a mildly famous idiot, who died stupidly and sadly took someone else with him. If I feel pity for anyone in this, it's the passenger.

If you're going to get drunk, it's fine when you don't include other people in the equation. But the moment you get behind the wheel of a car after drinking you're making anyone on the road a potential victim of your stupidity, and far too often they're the ones that pay the price.

It's complicated."

Cool story. Once again though, do we know for certain that Dunn was driving? Or that he was drunk, even if he was behind the wheel? Or that ANYONE was drunk and driving the car? For all we know, we could be BLAMING THE VICTIM...

When things like this happen, and they are posted here, some people seem to take an inordinate amount of pleasure in gloating over/wishing for the death of another human being.

I put it down to hatred of the human race due to social inadequacy. In fact, I think that goes some way towards explaining around 90% of internet rage.

From the reports I have read, Dunn was pulled out of the wreckage from behind the wheel - the other unidentified man was his passnger. Dunn was identified via tattoos and some facial hair that remained, apparently.

From Here:

According to the police report obtained by CBS Philly, Ryan was driving his 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 when it crashed into a wooded area and burst into flames. Both Dunn and Hartwell died as a result of injuries they sustained in the crash.

Police believe speed may have been a contributing factor in the accident.

According to the celebrity gossip web site TMZ, just hours before the wreck Dunn had been with friends at a bar in West Chester where he had uploaded a picture of himself with a drink in hand to his Twitter account; however, at this time there is no word if alcohol played a role in the crash.

So according to the police, he was definitely driving but I think people should probably reserve judgement on damning him for drink driving until such time as/if toxicology reports are released.

Ah, fair one. Do they know if he was drunk? I've not seen the news yet today.

In any case, the gloating over another person's death, drunk-driver or no? Pretty crass. It's not like he was the greatest criminal in history, and if a person is stupid enough to get in the passenger seat of a car driven by someone who is clearly drunk, they have only themselves to blame. There is no 'innocent victim' in that scenario. They were both idiots (if they were in fact drunk) - doesn't mean they deserved to die.

I know I certainly didn't condemn anyone, since I don't know enough about the story.

I was just giving my opinion on drinking and driving since it was the subject of the thread at the time. I also, you know, tend to BLAME THE VICTIM.

Nobody gets to play the "Blame the victim card" when the "Victim" killed another human being by driving drunk.

Don't blame Porsche the 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 has some pretty amazing traction control, to the point it's almost no fun to drive with it on.

I liked Ryan, he used to come to the Bars in Cleveland all the time, he would always pick the little unknown bars to hang out at, my favorite kind. The apartment they shared above the old spagetti warehouse could be seen in many of the old cky videos.

It's sad, if somewhat predictable to see him go this way. It really is amazing that any of those guys are still alive though.

Not really. It's just being a dick.

Like his 'stunt' of punching his sleeping dad. Ho. fething. ho.

Yeah, I'm sure his parents are really pissed that his antics have caused them all to live in the lap of luxury.

It probably sucked in the beginning when Phil had to get up at 6 in the morning to go to work, only to find it filled with lit bottle rockets. But now he doesn't have to get up early anymore.
