Simple question, does anyone despise this playlist as much as I do?

Seriously, this is an understatement, I hope the guy who designed this playlist is shot for the bilge he created. You start off as a zombie, you're given a slightly faster movement and sprint, you think fine, but wait, you lost your shield, all enemies are packing Shotguns and you are constantly on motion trackers, so you can't even ambush them! In every single Infection game I've played, the game simply turns into a slaughterhouse simply because the humans camp in completly inaccessible areas and gun the zombies down. Like I said, the zombies can't even try to ambush them as they're constantly being detected. This playlist is quite possibly the worst gaming experience I have ever had.


What's Dakka's thoughts on this? Do you think Infection is a pain in the balls as well?

I love Infection. It's one of my favorite game modes.

It's fun.
Yeah it's massively inbalanced but you rarely see the humans lasting for the entire round.

I really like playing Infection on Pinnacle.

My friends don't play infection with me anymore, if I start out as the zombie its over in about two minutes. If I start out as a human it lasts until the end. One time I had to fend off three zombies for about five minutes. We stick with SWAT for the most part now.

Infection is fun, but I would like some more "tactical" game modes for it where zombies can hide and so on, and also some fixing of kill zones to stop the humans from camping places that it is really hard for zombies to get to (which has already been done on many maps, and several "loophole" spots have been turned into kill zones).

I actually have a game mode like that; You have to stay moving to the "Safe Zones", and only there can you gain points for Kills. Humans have no Radar Trackers, until LMS, where he gets a 10 foot Radar (Due to heightened feared senses). Zombies have Hologram to make it seem like it's more of a horde, Humans move faster than the Zombies until they get to the "Safe Zones", and the moment someone steps into a Safe Zone, they have 30 seconds to score points until the next Zone pops up.

But if it wasn't for the "Loophole" spots, I would like Infection alot more. Since they are there, it kills the game mode for me.

The escort/checkpoint zombie game modes are good, as it forces the humans to move and thus allows zombies to set up ambushes and so on.

Escort Zombie modes? You can do that?!?

You know what really makes me angry though? It's nigh impossible to forge a good Invasion map. I had this AWESOME idea for one on Forge, but alas, You can't spawn Invasion Control Points in Forge :(

My least favorite is the limits they have...
If i want to have 200 scorpions i think it should be allowed and damn those who think overkill is a real thing.

Yeah, there is somethings holding it back, but you have to give it props for being as good as it is on Consoles. I know that PC has way better tools, but Reach is about as good as it gets on Consoles.

Also, there is no such thing as overkill, only a redundant affirmation of Fire Superiority.

Kan and I like to play "sacrifice the Spartan" by pushing people (or each other) out into the open so they can get eaten

I much preferred it in Halo 3. Waiting until double xp or Halloween was amazing, and I was a master with the shotgun. Not so good as a zombie, and hopeless with a pistol, but I could stay alive forever with that weapon.
It's still good now, there's not enough players in it and the evade is a damn pain, whilst sprint is next to useless.

Oh god, me and my group of friends made a Infection game mode where it was Pistols and Shotguns, Zombies had 500% Damage Resist, and no sheilds (Died in a headshot). This was back in Halo 3, and we all became pistol masters in that game; I once got into an Infection game on Cold Storage, solely used the pistol, and got 20 points higher than the next highest

God damn I love custom games. Zombies with zero gravity and maximum movement speed, they could keep up with a warthog. Got to be my favorite game-type with infection. That or fending off 15 zombies from the top of a tower Alien vs Predator style for 9 minutes.

I played a match of zombie in a custom game. Zombies have hammers and swords and maximum running speed. All the survivors spawn with vehicles.
Ended up with 1 warthog driving around and around with a bunch of zombies chasing it.
So many kills...

I did something similar, until a zombie jumped from literally, the other side of the map, and sword lunged the driver in mid-air.

Ahh yeah...
I was the gunner until i accidentally jumped out. Fortunately the zombies had a trap waiting up ahead and me being a fool saved me. The LMS bonus for that gametype was... over-powered to say the least.

Its the best game mode were the magnum can kill you with one headshot.

I personally can't stand those game types where the zombies are flying all around the place. I don't know, to me that's not a "Zombie" game.

Zombies is a blast, you must be bad at it lol.
If a zombie infection was hard to kill, it wouldn't be fun at all for the survivors. When you have more than 2 people around you with energy swords, it is quite easy to ambush. You just need to kill off the survivors one at a time. Also, there is always another way in.

The most annoying thing about it is the fact that the sword is kinda... strange.
